The Bullet appeared to ignore the hit at first as he slowly marched toward Leah. However, as he got within 20 metres of the hero, the brute suddenly stopped, falling backward like a broom toppling over.
"DAMMIT!" The woman screamed as the gun melted, letting go of it immediately. "To hell with this!"
"Have you got the hint yet, hun?" Gemma barked as she approached Sunita, seeing the chance offered by Leah and Leo's stunt. "Let her go, RIGHT NOW!"
The woman then grabbed Reggie's head, prepaing to snap her neck there and then.
"NO! Don't come any closer! I can still kill her, dammit!"
At that moment, Reggie suddenly disappeared in a flash of blinding light, reappearing behind Sunita, and in turn right at the feet of someone new to the immediate area: The young red haired man in the white trouser suit.
"So..." the man broke his silence with his Durham accent as he cross his arms, appearing somewhat disappointed at Sunita. "You missed me that bad you decided to take your little grudge out on Reg instead, like?"
Gemma blinked at the man for a moment, appearing to be unable to beleive what was in front of her.
"...Richie?" -
Maxine, dressed not in her casual wear this time, but a figure-hugging black costume with a grey stripe running down her arms and legs, charged through the streets of Kings Row at inhuman speed before skidding to a halt some distance from the factory, looking up and around her current position.
"Let's see... roof, roof, need a good... AH!" The mackem muttered as she found the ideal rooftop with immediate access and began her speedy ascent.
Upon reaching the roof, Max dashed to the edge facing the factory and watched. -
Molly took a few steps toward the lift doors, raising her rifle at them in the event there was trouble coming via that as well.
-
Gemma remained face down on the floor for a moment before attempting to pick herself up from the floor, her broken shades falling piece by piece from her face.
"Not the best way to start a fight, Gemma..." she muttered to herself as she dragged herself to her feet and turned to face Sunita and her new human shield. "Aw, flamin' hell... Let her go, for cryin' out loud!"
The woman rolled her eyes, keeping the gun pointed at the still-unconcious Reggie's head.
"Yeah," she then uttered. "Like I'm really gonna be that stupid!"
"You're being stupid right now!" Gemma barked. "I mean, seriously! What the hell do you want with Reggie? She hasn't done owt to you!"
Sunita rolled her eyes again, letting out a slight groan.
"She technically -is- Richie, moron." -

well what i seen from some people setup that no one has gone past 4 power trays
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, I use about 6 or 7 on my DB/DA scrapper, as I put each DB combo into trays 1-4 (and bind my F-keys to switch between them on the bottom tray), most of my DA toggles and Epics in Tray 5 and 6 (Middle and Top trays), with all my Travel Powers, Jump Pack, Ouro and PD TP included, on Tray 7 at the side. -
Shutting off her boots, Molly skidded to a halt upon landing and looked around, slinging her rifle over her shoulder.
"Hmmm... which way now..." -
((Doo-doo-doo...))
It was highly likely that Gemma could have take on Sunita with minimal problems. However, what she couldn't have done with was finding herself knocked to to the floor - violently - by a demented brute of a man. As Gemma rolled uncontrollably along the ground, the thug dumped Reggie somewhat unceremoniously on the ground, right in front of Sunita to pick up and carry like a human shield. Then promptly draw a gun to her head.
"Alright, nobody move!! Nobody try anything stupid or I'll just blast her right now!" -
*Open WindowsBlinds
*Go to "Settings"
*Find "Change the look of an app" and click
*Find "Add per application setting" and click
*Find "CityOfHeroes.exe" (The default folder's "C:\Program Files\City of Heroes") and open
*Find the checkbox that says "Ignore this application and do not skin it", check it and click OK.
*Click "Apply Changes" and run the game as normal. Voila! You can have WindowsBlinds running without CoX having a hissy fit.
[EDIT] Oh, and while you're at it, you might want to pop into "System Info" and check the box that says "Never use per pixel borders on a skin", because they were causing issues with my games too. -
The existing Recall Friend doesn't really -need- anything visible ingame for the player to make out that his character is already using such a device.
Jump Pack? It'd be better if backpacks were available in the costume creator, if you ask me, same with Jet Pack.
The point I'm getting at is that there's no real need for another power pool just for Natural and Tech characters to explain why they can fly/jump stupid distances/Beam Them Down, Scotty when what you're after could likely be acheived through superior means or are unnecessary altogether. -

I think he's talking about the revamp to Faultline which happened before either of us started, sorudo.
Also have to agree that Mirror Spirit looks pretty flamin' class compared to Ms. Liberty, which kinda irritates me in ways. -

The woman, while Baked was distracted, rushed to grab the rifle she had dropped, swinging round to pop a few more shots at the hero before charging over to the weakened Bullet, who by now, seemed to be getting beaten face-first to the ground by Leah.
Gemma, unfortunately for the villain, decided to step in her path.
"No you don't Sunita." The Durham lass uttered while looking the woman in the eye. "Whatever plans you've got with Reg? You'd better just drop them right no..."
Sunita didn't quite seem to care as she swung the rifle butt into the musician's face, sending her staggering backward a few good steps. Gemma spat out a little blood before wiping her mouth with the back of her hand.
"Alright then, hun..." Gemma muttered, adopting her usual fighting stance. "I guess I'll just have to drop you instead!"
It could be said that Leo's second punch may have made things a little worse for everyone trying to rescue Reggie, as just seconds after the blow landed, The Bullet let out yet another almighty roar. However, this was not one of pain, but rather a sign of all-out rage, coupled with his sudden swing at Leo and Leah.
Whether or not the thug had even managed to hit anyone, The Bullet then pushed himself to his feet, storming toward Gemma with worrying determination.
"BOOOOOOOOOOOOSSS!! SPECIAL DELIVERYYYYY!!"
*****************
Gemini Park. A young, red-haired man dressed in what appeared to be some kind of white casual trouser suit raised a brow at the noise coming from the direction of the Arena.
"Barely a few minutes since I got back," he muttered in an accent not dissimilar to Gemma's. "And there's already a welcome home party."
The man smirked for a moment, before dashing onward toward the Arena district, the two sheathed swords slung over his shoulders rattling together with each step. -
The Bullet felt himself get pushed back by Leah's field, if only a little.
"You think -that's- gonna sto..." the hulking brute stopped quickly before grasping his own head. A third roar could be heard from across the other side of the Arena district as Psysan's psychic attack sent him to his knees.
***********
The woman promptly keeled over upon receiving a fist to her gut, then found herself nearly moonsaulting backward after feeling another blow to her chin, dropping her rifle as she fell.
"Okay..." the woman groaned as she rolled over to push herself back to her feet. "Time to crank it up a little... COCKTAIL, SOME HELP HERE!"
The thug dubbed The Cocktail rushed to the woman's aid promptly, lighting and throwing a molotov at her foe as he charged toward her.
"Keep him outta my way." the woman commanded as she staggered slightly on the spot before turning to head for The Bullet. "Time to get this farce over with!" -
The woman hopped back a little to evade Baked's attack before aiming the rifle at him and pulling the trigger, firing a single cryonic round at the cape.
**************
The Bullet let out another roar of agony as Leah's second blast struck him before he straightened himself once more. For a moment, the brute glared at Leah again... then charged straight at her, still carrying Reggie.
The thug dealing with Leo let out a high pitched yelp as he quickly yanked his hand away from the gun, right before finding himself being silenced by a fist to the face. Gemma watched as he quickly toppled backward onto the ground before smiling at Leo.
"Nice one! Right, Mr. Big over there next, you reckon?" -
As the gang slowly approached the apartment, Shadowcrash noticed something. Richie and the Guardian were already there, the Durham lad helping her to her feet before spotting the ghost in the distance. After seeing his gesture to hurry up, Shadowcrash rolled her eyes, laughing quietly to herself as she charged onward.
-
Molly picked up the pace a little, her hand slowly reaching to grab the rifle as she charged down the corridor.
"I think we -might- wanna get a move on, huh?"
As her brisk walk evolved into a short dash, her boots kicked in one more time, hurling her along faster then on foot.
"Last one there's... well, probably putting us at riiiisk!" she cheerfully chimed mid-flight. -
While Susan and Leo confronted The Bullet, the two SMG-wielding thugs rushed up to the two New Vigilants, skidding to a halt just a short distance from them before unleashing a hail of lead up the two. However, after letting off most of their clips, one of the thugs found himself interrupted by an unexpected shoe to the face that sent him flying a few metres before gravity decided to grind his face into the ground. The other thug stopped firing in surprise at the sudden sight of his airborne partner, before quickly swinging his head to find the one responsible.
"You know," The woman facing him piped up in an accent familiar to some: The voice of one Gemma Stacker, dressed in her purple trenchcoat and tribal patterned pants. "It's really not nice goin' after family and friends at such a flamin' inconevient time and all..."
The thug blinked at the Durham-born musician and small-time hero as she placed her hand on her hips and raised a brow at him.
"That was kind of a hint, hun. Get lost before you find yourself joinin' him down there. Oh, hey, Sue."
The thug failed to listen, opting instead to open fire on Psysan and Leo once more.
"Typical!"
************
Ignoring the fact that two of her own men just got themselves well done by Baked, the woman rushed over to the truck, climbing onto one of the doors, swinging it open and hauling out a familiar rifle from behind the other unopened door, just in time for Baked to land on the vehicle.
"Council..." she muttered to herself. "Can't stand them, but their guns are too awesome not to steal!" The woman then quickly kissed the rifle before stepping back to find whoever landed on her wheels.
***********
The Bullet let out an almighty roar of agony as Leah's attack struck him, falling to one knee as he did. However, despite this, the monster maintained his grip on Reggie, slamming his free fist into the ground to cause a chunk of concrete - amazingly - to hurtle toward Leah.
"I don't give a damn about your size, JUST OUTTA MY WAY, YOU STOOPID FRRREEEEAAAAKS!" -
The Bullet glared at Leah momentarily, before giving the strange creature some questionable sign language and turning back to his job at hand. With minimal effort, the thug proceeded to grab what remained of the lower window frame that kept itself attached to the shop and tear it away, tossing it in Leah's general direction.
"Let's see... scrawny redhead chick..." The Bullet muttered as he looked around the trashed store, eventually laying eyes on an unconcious woman with red hair laying on the floor, in the shop's standard uniform. Reggie Stacker.
"Bingo."
Taking a few more hefty steps and ignoring the crunching sounds as he stepped on a few of the bodies, The Bullet crouched down with minor difficulty, grabbing Reggie by the waist and hauling her over his shoulder.
****************
As Baked battled the two rapidly losing thugs, their leader carefully crept toward the truck, smirking at the little orb-like device that lay just a short distance from the hero. The device slowly unfolded out into something resembling a small turret that almost immediate began firing some form of highly acidic substance at Baked, leaving the woman free to sneak over to the truck. -
"What the?" The Bullet blurted out as he found himself suddenly slowed by Leah's forcefield only momentarily before it scatttered... right before feeling a blunt blow land right on the back of his head, sending him shuffling forward quickly and swiveling around to find the culprit. "Hey, what the hell? That tickles!"
The huge thug acted immediately, grabbing the New Vigilant and hauling him over his head in a manner that would suggest Bassai was to The Bullet what a plastic chair was to Bassai himself: next to nothing to lift.
"And this isn't the time or place for tickles, cape!" the brute announced as he then flung Danny at the truck itself, "So scram!!"
((Note: Crius requested I injure his character, so there you go.)) -
((Cleanup on aisle 5! <_<
)
As the woman watched the carnage up ahead, along with The Bullet's approach toward the shop, the woman glanced up just in time to spot the oncoming fireball.
"Boys! Scatter! We've got company!" She shouted as she casually unclipped a small device from the back of her belt. Bringing her arm behind her, the woman then hurled the Web Grenade like a baseball at the flaming oncomer - a likely well-aimed baseball at that - as she made her own minor retreat from the 'landing zone'.
The Bullet staggered slightly when he felt the full force of Leah's attack strike him in the back. Stopping himself for a moment, the giant brute looked around quickly as he scratched his head. Then shrugged and got back to work.
The truck remained wedged in pretty good within the shop front, and refused to budge. -
Friday 12th December 2008, at 1:00pm
It should have been just an ordinary quiet day at one of the small stores just a little east of Galaxy City's arena, where one Regina Stacker, aka Sting Star worked. However, only less than a minute ago, all hell had broken loose when a truck suddenly slammed into the front of the store, killing two customers instantly, and knocking Reggie herself to the floor, unconcious.
****************
Outside the store itself, stood a single woman, dressed in a strapless leather top and biker pants, her blue hair being gently blown about by the wind. This very woman looked on as the survivors within the shop panicked and stuggled to flee the shop.
"BOYS!"
Behind the woman, six various thugs gathered behind her. Two of them already arrived with their twin revolvers in their hands, another playing around with a lighter in one hand and a molotov in the other. Two larger men slowly brandished their own weapons of choice - twin submachine guns - as they stepped up behind the smaller thugs.
"Alright," The woman smirked as a few of the survivors were slowly but surely managing to climb out of the shop through the gap that used to house its front entrance. "No survivors, but leave the girl for me, got it?"
"Got it, boss!" the thugs shouted in unison, immediately opening fire upon the shop. Nobody stood a chance.
"Bullet?" The woman then added as a third, huge thug stomped up behind her, cracking his knuckles. "Go fetch."
"You got it, boss." The Bullet responded in a low, booming voice before stomping his way over to the shop.

All over the city, PPD radios are alive with chatter concerning the incident in Galaxy. One PPD car nearly caused a major pile-up in Skyway City as it handbrake-turned 180 degrees to make its way to Galaxy, while several News choppers rushed to get their latest story before their rival channels beat them.
