Molly reacted quickly, letting off a few bursts on sight of Mastermode's flickering cloak as she sidestepped around his last known position carefully. For a split second, the pink-clad genuis glanced up at Cyber-widow and smirked before returning her attention to finding Mastermode again.

...You lot -do- realiase that Aion's running on CryEngine 2, an engine NC probably forked out quite a bit to use in Aion itself, right?
Just wondering. -

which would in turn explain why the Ouroboros travel power is a "Temp" power - something that has never been satisfactorarily explained
[/ QUOTE ]
It's a Temp power because that's how the game allocates powers which are not gained through sets or pools.
[/ QUOTE ]
then how come items like the PPD Costume power, the paid Rocket Pack and the Self-destruct are not in that class?
[/ QUOTE ]
Maybe it's because Inherents are permanently available to the player from the off (i.e. L1s right through to 50 get it immediately and can use it wherever) while the Ouro Portal is a reward for completing a certain ingame condition (getting involved with time travel) which gets locked in a specific zone (Ouroboros itself). Perhaps it was flagged as Temp to allow that.
I really don't think that it's worth fussing about. I mean, they've put enough into Ouroboros to make removing it completely moronic anyway. -

Then you just unlock it and leave. >_>
[/ QUOTE ]
then the lock fails if you can unlock it -_-....
[/ QUOTE ]
By that logic, door locks fail since they can be unlocked. Padlocks fail since they can be unlocked. Kensington locks fail because they can be unlocked. Safe locks fail because they can be unlocked. See where I'm going with this? -

This is an idea that I've yet to put to the test but it occurs to me that if you are relatively low level, and outlevel an important arc or mission that you want to revisit, would it be possible to switch your build and do the said arc/mission?
[/ QUOTE ]
If the contacts go off your Combat Level, then no, that wouldn't work. If they went off your Security Level, then it's a possibility. A farcical possibilty, though.
[ QUOTE ]
Seems to me that this potentially has the ability to make Ouroboros redundant (which would in turn explain why the Ouroboros travel power is a "Temp" power - something that has never been satisfactorarily explained.)
[/ QUOTE ]
Wrong. Even if your theory worked, Ouroboros still has its own arcs, and what if you want to give any past arcs another stab for any reason on that same character?
As for the "Temp" flag, I have a feeling that's a technical thing. Note how the Origin Temps are still Temps, even after they were made permanent. -
Most of my characters wouldn't really consider themselves the spandex-wearing type, so a lot of them don't really wear costumes, but for (most of) those that do:
Molly.EXE, AR/Dev Blaster.
Patsy Crusher, Invul/SS Tanker. Never originally intended to have a costume, but I didn't really have much use of Slot 2 when it unlocked.
Reactor Party, Rad/Rad Defender.
ShoXtar, Elec/Elec Brute.
StreetLight, Elec/Elec Blaster. -

i think he is talking about the ones that are already dome by you but now you missed all the merit's.
or am i wrong here?
[/ QUOTE ]
Correct, but as has been said several times before in this thread, including myself, you have already been rewarded for those by the old system, as such retroactive merit rewards are unnessecary. -
Which not everyone has access to, and still adds excessive zoning if you still had business in Cimerora afterward.
-
Stick it in the Midnighter Club. Two birds with one stone: Having a tailor NPC that isn't going to give people a headache trying to make sense of it, and cuts down on the stupid amounts to zoning to get to Icon/Facemaker.
-
I tried it myself about a month ago using Ubuntu and WINE. It seemed to run just fine, albeit at a slightly reduced framerate and a lack of fog, if I remember correctly.
-
But... everyone already got rewarded for those with the old reward system that was in place pre-I13. You know, the one that offers you a choice of goody when you completed arcs, TFs etc. :S

"Party time..." Molly muttered as she pulled a couple of tiny red blocks from beneath the pad of her right glove, and immediately slid them into a small slot in the side of her rifle ((Enrage Insps >_>
). A short noise, not unlike a mashup of buzzing and ringing sounded from the rifle as she then proceeded to lift the sight up to eye level and pointed it at the trio.

Have you tried typing the /sync command into chat first when it happens? That almost always does the trick.

how does a merging server mean a game dieing look at eve online one bloody server
[/ QUOTE ]
EVE was designed to start out and continue playing out with one server. It has never gained servers, nor lost them.
CoX started out with 4 EU side and more US side. Any drop in server numbers of any magnitude would set alarm bells ringing to potential newcomers that it appears the population's declined way too far. -

Sue smiled as the none too graceful red head tumbled into her, hey she wasnt complaining, and wrapped her arms around the unsteady woman.
Alright, but Ill get you in heels one day, come on lets go find a chair so we can try and salvage these shoes dear
[/ QUOTE ]
Reggie nodded as best she could, considering she had Sue wrapped around her.
"Aye, alright..." she answered as she propped herself up, straightened herself and hobbled over to the nearest chair with her partner. -
Reggie for the most part seemed to be managing to remain on her feet as she danced - somewhat badly - with Psy. However, the amount of times she nearly -had- lost her balance, she was starting to wonder whether she shouldn't have bothered at all.
A thought that was reinforced when one of the heels snapped, causing her to stumble into Psy.
"Aw buggerit!" she blurted. "Next time I'm tryin' platforms!" -

i suggest that we be able to see but not access some cozzie bits from the outset (capes, auras etc) and noone is interested yet in that other thread someone says they want access to an aura from level one and everyone agrees!
you lot are weird.

Halos are a completely different story. Sub-30 characters are going through the farce of working up the candy canes in order to unlock the Halos, only to find that, unlike the cyborg pack Combat Auras that were recently adjusted to become available pre-30, they STILL have to work their way up to Level 30 to actually use them, which is frankly a royal boot to the face. With footballer's boots. Laced with hydrochloric acid.
The Halo suggestion is more an issue of unlock conditions, and has nothing to do with this suggestion, which - to be honest - I'm pretty "meh" about. I don't really plan out costumes to use pieces I don't have access to and it'd make getting them feel more of a grind than they need to be if I were allowed to view them before unlocking. -
Reggie grinned slightly as she offered her hand to Psy.
"If you're up to it, Sue." She answered. "I mean, the music's not really much cop, but..." Reggie then stopped herself and glanced down at her shoes. "Then there's the chance I'll fall over myself with these buggers on and all." -
Reggie wasn't completely sure -what- she was nibbling on as she listened to Ryan's speech, but thankfully it didn't make her ill when she ate it. Yet, at least.
When the music started playing, she then looked around momentarily, quietly tapping her foot absentmindedly and raising a brow at Gemini as she entered, turning back to Psy and smiling. -
Molly blinked at first as she found herself elsewhere without even moving a muscle, before frantically looking around.
"Hey, what the?" The genius muttered. As soon as she saw Gemma and Timothy, she shut up immediately and cringed.
The sudden voice promted the girl to swing around immediately, pointing her rifle in Assassion's direction as he showed himself, but keeping her finger off the trigger until he finished blathering on.
And then rolled her eyes when Rik went at him straight away. -

The New Vigilant Psionics instructor, dressed as always in something bright orange this time a small glittery party dress white hair carefully braided, sidled up behind her partner and prom date, giving Reggie a bit of a shock with a kiss to neck.
Right here dear
She smiles, hoping to boost Reggies confidence
Now shall we get in there? And you look fine, stunning I could say, ready to make everyone jealous?
Sue teased, she did this quite a bit.
[/ QUOTE ]
Reggie jumped slightly before she realised who was kissing her, smiling back soon after.
"We can try, I suppose." She answered as she took Psy's hand. "C'mon, then." -
Regina Stacker wasn't feeling too comfortable in her glittery blue dress, and it was showing on her face as she shuffled out of the lift, barely managing to hide the fact that she was fighting against a knee-height skirt and high heels that matched the colour of the red dye in her hair, which was surprisingly in a French twist.
Reggie stood on the spot grumbling for a moment as she straightened herself out, before noticing something was missing. Or more precisely, someone.
"Uh... Sue?" Reggie looked back at the closing lift doors and smacked her forehead with her palm. "Buggerit! Not a good start, is it?" -
Let's see:
Richie Stacker, the Crazy Dragon (ignore the lyrics!)
Gemma Stacker, aka DJ Stacker
Fio Mancini, aka High Tide
Patsy Crusher
That's all I've got so far. >_>
