My comp is fine. Runs the likes of Crysis very nicely and at a decent playable framerate at 1920x1200, thankyouverymuch.

I just find the term annoying after seeing it used way too many times in this thread by one individual, and I don't doubt for a second there are quite a few players with low-end comps that can and are taking offence at it.

So seriously. Just stop. It's a low-end computer, not a £1.99 computer, and it sure as hell didn't cost anyone with low-end comps anywhere near that much either.

Assuming you mean Mbps, you should be fine. I'd been playing CoX on a 2Mbps connection for a year and suffered no problems. Outside of the ones that kicking the POS router I was using at the time fixed. Or it was an Atlas Rikti attack. Everyone lags like hell during those anyway. :\

The game's graphics are all handled client-side, so a graphical update wouldn't necessarily mean more data to send and receive, maybe none extra at all. It'll deffo result in a few far bigger updates filesize-wise though.

If it results in an update to the costume editor itself (in other words, not just the pieces but an increase in variables to the system via new features), it still probably won't have much effect on the data sent and received. I mean, the average costume file's just over 6KB right now, which is piddly, and it's not like it's going to be sending that costume data to the same players constantly, is it?

I'd go for:

"[News] <Supergroup> has stopped another of Lord Recluse's schemes!" (For a team made up of members of the same SG)

"[News] A group of heroes led by <Team Leader> have thwarted Lord Recluse!"

Dependant on the TF of course.

I have a feeling trying to add 8 individual names to a single string would be more headache than it's worth. Also, it may prove a little "What the!?" to anyone actually up on their CoX Lore if the antics within Cimerora were blurted out to the present-day world. Maybe.
