A search just came up with a truncated list of 170 peoples blueside on Union alone (At about 8:54PM GMT as post). That doesn't include all the people it cut out of that list in its truncation nor players that are on hide.
Where the flip have -you- been getting your numbers from? -
Banged this out a little quick, and borrowed the image that was posted to the handbook *HIDES!!*. It's open to any changes that could do with being made (Not completely happy with the text at the bottom, myself - looks a bit difficult to read), so lemme know if you think anything needs adjustment/scrapping/feeding to the nearest mutant Kirby.

Quote:The GM handling the petition won't immediately consider that, if at all, nor will other players be likely to. When I first read the name, I did connect it to the word 'joint' as well, and I'm sure many others who have not been living under a boulder the size of Gamera for the majority of their insignificant lives will do so as well.J does not stand for joint however J is directly related to drugs, however I honestly dont see how its offensive.. I could just have ment the letter J.
And "Roll me another <letter> J" doesn't honestly make any form of sense whatsoever if you ask me. -
Well, I bought it and installed it. So far, I like it.
My only issues so far CoX-wise has been Win7 throwing a UAC warning in my face every time I run the game (unfortunately renaming the updater doesn't work for the EU client). Other games seem to be running just as fine or better (Amazingly, I can actually play the Steam version of GTA 1 now. Holy flip!)
If, at some point, I do need XP back on I can always reinstall it alongside 7, can't I? -
Seen one or two like that on Union, but that's about it.
They're just transferees from Zukunft, aren't they? -
Is that just in Full-screen or does it affect windowed mode as well? :\

Quote:It's on a separate hard drive, and the last time I had to reinstall XP all I had to do was restore GRUB, but I'll keep that in mind, thanks. As a side note, you say you're dual-booting Ubuntu? Be sure you back everything up before you upgrade: the Windows installer doesn't play nicely with other operating systems.

At the moment, my comp's running on XP. Has been since I built it two years ago, because I outright refused to install Vista from day one.
Since Win7 came out, people seem to have been singing its praises quite a lot compared to Vista, but I'm sat here, still not convinced about shelling out £170 for a new OS that may or may not be worth the plastic it's burned on. I'm a cautious git, so sue me.
Actually... don't. I rescind the invitation to sue or otherwise run me into the ground through violent or non-violent means, etc etc etc.
So, anyway, if it's any help (which I doubt majorly) my system is as follows:
Motherboard: Biostar TPower I45
CPU: Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.40GHz (pending possible OC sooner or later)
GPU: BFG GeForce 8800GTX OC (768MB) (pending possible upgrade)
RAM: 4GB OCZ brand DDR2 (Yes, I know XP won't see it all, but Ubuntu 64-bit can, so I whapped that last stick in)
Hard Drives: 2x Samsung HD501J, 500GB each. Mind you, one's holding Ubuntu while the other holds XP. I wasn't comfortable partitioning at the time.
Oh, and before anyone starts, please don't suggest I start going i7 or anything like that. I can't afford to rebuild right now. -
*shakes head at the idiotic tag that actually sounds -very- wrong where he lives*
Quote:I'm not sure I can see that happening, from where I'm standing... or sitting. I mean, I can see the potential abuses possible with the thing, but not in that extreme. However, all it takes is for word to get out that a particular farm can level you up to 50 in a few hours, or that you can always win an arena tournament through the use of these types of macro-ing keyboards, and then the hammer will come down. Mark my words.
Like I said, though, all I'm really intending on doing is mapping a few simple /team shouts, like "$target sighted!" or "Gather for Auras!", stuff like that; putting a sequence of emotes to one key and/or mapping something like Build Up to a delayed costume change to time it right.
If any of those are likely to get me the order of the boot from the game, then I'll just leave it and stick to /binding stuff to my NUMPAD keys and timing stuff manually.
I just found that the G keys were in a more comfortable place to reach, but weren't getting any love. :\ -

Okay, so I'm sat here typing this, realising that I've had my Logitech G15 for just about more than half a year now... and I've never actually used the G keys on it. I've made minor use of the display, but that's about it, and even then that was mostly while using Winamp.
Before I actually do anything with it though, I'm just wondering how much - if at all - it's within the game's terms of use? Of course, I have no intention of mapping the whole Sweep combo to a single key or anything like that. For the most part, just callouts and orders across /team and whatnot. I know, I know, I can use /bind and /macro ingame, but I have a tendency to be epically disorganised with those. -
Quote:Agreed. It's like flipping a coin ten times a day every day. At least one day you're probably going to wind up with nine Tails. That was your day right there. For me, it seems to be an even 50/50 chance. You probably just had a bad luck streak. =/
Oh, and for the record, I got mostly Naughty on my Main Scrapper and my second account's Emp Defender, while my AR blaster... she got a lot of Nices. *shrug*
*hurls Robot Santa at Tech* You've been NAUGHTY! -
If I remember correctly, yes, but it was via the repeated rantings of Red Commissar over their constant screwups with his order. :\

Minor RP concern, maybe, but there is the out-of-character annoyance of having to zone about 50 times* for one lousy mission as well, most of them lousy FedEx ones. Let's face it, not a single one of the booster-pack'd powers, with their half-hour-plus recharge rates, has ever knocked -that- on the head, and I'm sure it irritates you as much as the next guy.
* = Yes, that is an exaggeration, but still... -
This.
Also avoid Dell and Alienware if you can, as they're just plain overpriced for what they do (and don't do - *cough* last long).
If you're feeling brave and want to actually build your own (which may or may not be the better option, depending on what you're after), do a little homework first, then work out which components float your boat. Shop around. Most of the stuff in my rig comes from several places - Scan, Overclockers, Aria and eBuyer to name a few. -
Not every villain's a selfish, backstabbing, sociopathic git hellbent on getting rich/powerful or blowing up the world trying, you know. I kinda see where you're coming from, but you do really need to take the above fact into consideration.

Quote:I think what the OP is trying to say that that being on the EU servers (of which there are 4, two of which are non-English), it has reduced choice if and when it decides to make use of a free transfer. The free transfers seem a lot more limited here compared to the US which has... how many servers, all English language? You seem to be confused.
EU and NA customers are receiving exactly the same benefit.
Personally, I couldn't give a flying flip, myself.
Quote:However in failing to do that it's another case of blatant favouritism I'm sad to say.
