Very cool, I have had a cpl of 50 vills for awhile...but never ran them thru the Patron process (usually lose interest around LV45 and then bounce back to blueside). Thanks for the heads up Mateo.
-
Ah, gotcha...assuming you're talking about farming etc.
Until recently, I've only used mine for PvP. -
Thanks man. I worked in as much recharge as possible without spending too much money. +HP & +end came along easy enough and I do have Tough/Weave putting in some work on the build also.
I did not focus on exotic res/def...does 17% Psi defense help or is it better to throw those slots into something else? -

Yeah I just use that winters gift IO in superspeed for my slow resists. I wish they would add a little S/L resist to temp protection to make it actually worth taking. Even at 20% slow resist its still a pretty weak pick IMO.
Heh looking at all these SS/Fires makes me think of ice cream. Lots of different flavors, but all are delicious. Now if we could only keep the ice cream from melting... tough to do in a burn patch.
Back on target, Slow resists are actually pretty useful for a heavy recharge SS/Fire build, because -rech really messes up all the hard work you did to get the build to high rech in the first place. I might jump on test and respec into temp protection and see how it works in conjunction with the winters gift for a full 40% resist to slow.
Then time to pick on a herd of fortunatas/tarantulas to see how well the resists hold up.
Not something I deem needed, but might be interesting to see if it makes a noticable difference.

A Good SS/FA knows what it will be facing and doesn't fight crap that can slow. Or Nullifiers.
I'll pay 5m to see a vid of an ss/fa Farming Longbow Nullifiers.. ALONE. without inspirations.

I usually run with a large group of SG mates...lot of different people/lot of different mishs. How does a good SS/Fire know b4hand what it is facing? -
Y'know, that Widow looking chick...thanks for the hard time Mateo
I have two toons planned out for PvE & PvP thru Mids and those Patrons worked out better for whatever bonus' I had planned. -

I'll keep an eye out for you Patron Arc thread. I could use Black Widow as well and Scirocco.
[/ QUOTE ] Use them for what? Are they selling candy? lol
(There are no badges involved except for the person holding the mission)

He might be talking about different characters...

You sir, are a sharp guy. Always all over things like a bum on a bologna sandwich. -
Wha??? lol
I need the Ghost Widow for my Corr and the Scirocco for my Brute. -
Sometimes I really wished that I paid more attention to math in school...sometimes.
-
I read somewhere that Temp Protection now gives like 20% resistance to -recharge and slows. Not sure how good overall that adds to the builds survivability, but you can stick a KB IO into it ftw if needed.

Not wanting to go crazy with money on this PvE build, so I'm currently sitting at:
+47.5% Global Recharge (have Hasten also)
+191.2 HP
+400% Regen
51.1% Resistance S/L
25-40% Resistance on the others minus Psi/Tox
According to Mids, Healing Flames is up every 16secs at this point. With everyones advice, I'm gonna give this a shot and see how it works out. Thax again all. -
Got it...thx for explaining guys.

Now base camping does suck though. I mean i see pushing them back to there base, theres alot of fun in that, but after doing it over and over again for a long period of time it gets old and is better to back up to the middle and "reset" sorta to speak. At least thats how i view it.
[/ QUOTE ]
The problem is that people--no matter how smart they might be--behave as though they're idiots in zone pvp. As though they are locked into a bugs vs bug-zapper dance on both ends of it.
The ones being camped rush the campers, die, rinse, repeat. They behave as though alternate exits and the rest of the zone don't exist. Bugs... to bug zapper. It takes two sides for camping to happen, if you deny them targets at the base and force them to move to find a fight then you break the camp. But this seldom happens because... bugs, bug-zapper.
On the camper side of it, it's the same thing. Sit outside the enemy base and get droned, complain in broadcast, run back from hosp, get droned again, rinse, repeat. Bugs... bug zapper. Everything about the base camp situation--drones, npcs, easy escape for targets--works against them but still they sit there because that bug zapper is so mesmerizing.
Not that I have an answer to the problem. Trying to convince a team to break the cycle is like talking to a wall. Nine times out of ten the response is dead silence in team chat because they're too busy rushing back to get droned or killed by campers.
[/ QUOTE ]
This is dead on actually. If you are inside the base and being camped...1 person leaves the base, Vet TPs the team to a different location and suprise the campers by attacking from behind. Done deal. Not always successful when the odds are 3 to 1, but its better then hugging the base and screaming at people, "I cant get out!!!"
As far as people complaining about being TPd+droned...you basically drone yourself. I always expect to get droned when at the enemy's base. I will usually post who is droning, compliment them on their great PvP skill and leave it at that. -
Thx Julius...

Thats something I never thought about; thx for the ideas. Off topic real quick, what about a dmg Proc in /Fire's Blazing Aura...how often could it go off?
-
Thx a lot for the input guys...gonna relook Mids and work on it.
-
Thanks a lot for all the input guys...I'm going to take a look at Mids again and work on it some more.

Redoing an old Fire Brute and wanted to know if building for +regeneration is viable. Looking at approximately 350% on regeneration bonus currently, but should I focus on +hps/+resistances instead?

Yeah I think it's freaking WIN. It makes perfect sense anyway. Soldiers of Arachnos shouldnt be about being ebil, but they are in fact ebil, by playing both sides for the most personal gain.
[/ QUOTE ]
The word is evil, there is no b in it.
and ebil just looks silly and makes
the one posting it look a little dumb.
As to going rogue and side switchin SoAs
I pray that we can't switch, though I'll
guess we can. Its one of the aspects of
the going rogue that will likely be my
end of this game.
[/ QUOTE ]
Im gonna be ebil and ask if I can has ur stuff when you takes offitty off.
Seriously though, seems like it would make sense for PvP also since SoA's perception cap is greater then Stalker's stealth cap. -
Trying this with a different title...

There are a couple of decent write-ups in the Guides section that can probably answer your general questions.
