    Same here lol.
Im not 1 to call for nerfs, but maybe i17 will introduce another AE XP nerf of some sort. If so, villside market should hopfully even out with ppl finding their way around the Rogue Islands again as opposed to being stuck in AE.

The Punisher is another example. He's sort of a good guy, but he's wanted by every law enforcement agency in the world for hundreds or even thousands of murders. He's a good guy by the only standard he cares about: his own. Criminals fear him the way they would never fear the police. There is no appealing his sentence, no jury to buy off, no witnesses to intimidate. If the Punisher catches up to you, you're a dead man. Criminals know that he will not hesitate to kill them, whereas the police will arrest them, and they can get out of it on a technicality. No technicality in the world has ever brought someone back from the dead.

I suspect that just because you're a bad guy gone good all is not going to be forgiven. You know all the Longbow and cops that hang out in paragon City? How much do you want to bet they're going to attack any Rogues they see? The life of a Rogue is probably going to be a dangerous one.
The Punisher FTW and not that cute teddy bear movie version either.

Primal Earth Malaise is a great example of our upcoming Going Rogue game feature. He walks the line between hero and villain and has been both at one time or another. Jean-Pierre Lourdin started out as a villain. His powerful psychic abilities twisted his sense of reality and caused him to perform selfish and evil acts. Sister Psyche was able to heal some of the damage to his mind and monitored him through a mind link during the time he was her sidekick. When Sister P was returned to the body of Shalice Tilman, her link with Jean-Pierre was broken. In the aftermath, Malaise returned to his villainous ways but after Ms. Liberty found him and defeated him in battle she offered him another chance to reform. The Vindicators are all about second chances and although many of Paragon’s heroes are keeping a close eye on him, Malaise has toed the line so far."

Thats pretty hilarious and I got ya. Next time Ill post a horrible build, say that I know its the best and that my endurance is just fine where it is...then wait for the hate/information to pour in. Thanks X.

I got what he was trying to say, but his premise is off b/c he seems to think that its difficult to make money hence difficult to get drops.

    1) play the game and dont AE so much; lv50 =s good money
    2) sell your drops from playing the game and work the markets
    3) rinse and repeat
    4) go work up a toon for PvP and/or farming
    5) have fun
    6) see step 1

All the "farmers" that he is talking about started off playing the game just like anyone else AND probably had wackya$$ 1st posts too.
Get out of your foxhole and load another magazine; you dont get drops drinking and writing in threads.

Good looking out like always X. By the lack of replies, I was beginning to think that my Top Secret clearance wasn't high enough to get into the Stalker information vualt.
  9. Ive seen a lot of the old school Stalker pros mention the only way to go is staminaless. Id like to know the same. I know it depends on the powersets, but what is the best way to build a staminaless Stalker with x amount of toggles without running out of endurance constantly? Or what is a good EndRec VS EndUse ratio?

Its not so bad when I think about in and out zone hits, but Ive seen stalkers fiteklubbing/arenaing and have a better appreciation for that now knowing how bad my stamina is.

I feel your pain, but you really have to word your questions very specifically on this part of the forums. A lot of people are extremely helpful and as you experienced, some aren't as accomodating, call you a troll and tell you to beat it because they're cool. You'll have to develop a thicker skin and like I said...ask specifics, pros and cons as opposed to yes/no questions so you can get the details that you want as you're learning the PvP side of things.
  11. Just like in real life, being able to contribute somehow (as Super mentioned) and having fun/a good time (as Skeet said).

Y'know what would decrease prices on the PvP IOs? Make them non-functional in PvE environments (not just "disable set bonuses," I mean "disable enhancement values completely"). Yes, that's a bit extreme, but it'd be one solution without upping the drop rate or changing the drop criteria.
Seems like a lot of PvPers dont PvE anymore, so sounds like a viable idea.

Based on the quote above, weren't PvPIOs supposed to be an enticing factor to get ppl into PvPing?
  16. I kinda agree with Xan even though of course I would like to see more PvPIO drops. I don't know if the drop rate is that bad or you just get lucky though honestly. I put a new villain toon into SC this weekend and with a few hours on Sat & Sun, came up with 1 drop each day (nothing of great value). I dont play heroside PvP much at this point, but when I did...Id get 2-3 drops a week and that happened about 4 weeks in a row.

Couple of factors that may help with drops:
    1) I dont have a social life and can spend a few hours a day in zone having fun
    2) I don't team and dont have to split drops between 5-8 other players

    And gratz Ares.

**I also hope nobody assume that I ment an all human form is the only way to go for PvP. The all human form is how I enjoy and feel comfortable pvping with my PB. I am currenly redoing my WS for a Nova/Dwarf Build for PvP since I do not enjoy PvPing in human form on that Kheldian.
I basically directed my comment to everyone based on this:
"IMO...For PvP you need to go all human."

Game mechanics strictly dictates what works and what doesn't for ATs and certain builds/playstles in PvP. No matter how good the player is or how much money you put into some toons, they just don't perform well. I goto the forums for PvE and PvP information and really appreciate informed opinions, and can say that I have seen all Human builds work great in zone PvP. But I want to say from experience that Nova form can do great as well despite the opinion above. Just a clarification.

Big, Im on Freedom and even though I don't have 7 PvP IO sets in my build, I'm game to give you a shot for some fun
And good luck with your WS, I've always wanted to see one be great outside of PvE.

    Pvp pb??

    **Warning - TLDR**

So bringing up the thread again based on a couple opinions of having to go all Human for PvP. I will caveat this by saying I know Im not a great player and never claimed to be, but I do ok in zone PvP on my Nova build (thx to Solient).

Was on my Villain toon in SC yesterday and there was a Defender that kept standing in the street in the same spot over and over. After the 8th AS/kill, he engaged me in some mild chat PvP and I informed him that Defenders or any toon just shouldn't be standing around in zone when stalkers are the primary opposing force. I then tried to give him some tips and just mentioned that even on my PB with good range I try to move around for fear of flying/jetpack Stalkers. He then said, "trust me, my PB will dominate your PB in a duel" blah blah blah and all b/c he was annoyed at being killed so much due to standing still in zone.

I loaded up the PB and politely asked him to arena b/c I wanted to see how I would hold up to another PB with a lot of set bonus'. Nova VS all Human match and both having what looked like 97 pages of IO sets:
    1st match (I made), 10mins/outdoor map/inspirations - 3 to 0 win for Nova
    2nd match (he made), 20mins/cage map/no inspirations - 8 to 1 win for Nova

After the 1st match, he sent me a tell saying I won b/c I buffed b4 going into the match, then popped reds the whole time and ran for the last part of the fight (I don't duel much, but wished I had known about buffing up pre-arena match). In actuality, same tactics as zone PvP...fly in human form invis/stealthed, see target, Photon Seekers, BU and attk...wash and rinse unless needing to change to Dwarf or Human for a heal. His IS grounded me for the last 3mins so I spent time changing forms, trying to get back in the air etc b/c his BU/IS combo was a monster.

Back in zone, I told him GF, but he was a sore loser and dared me for a rematch that he would make. 1st 10mins I spent outside of the cage fighting him, 2nd 10mins I spent in the cage fighting since it was already 4 to 1 at that point. Tactics...outdmg with Nova blasts, and switch to Dwarf to outresist when needed. When he hit BU...I hit Quantum Flight which is up about every 30 secs...I would phase and wait til BU expired then resume.

Bottom line is, outside of all his smack talk (he told me at the beginning of the 2nd match that he was going to record beating me)...he had a good Human build and his IS hit like a truck. My 2x ST Nova blasts hit for slightly less, but seemed 2-3x as fast and they currently hit from 172ft away. So I understand its a preference, but wanted to give my opinion after this match by saying I definitely don't think Human form is the only viable build for PvP.

I returned to zone and the guy was nowhere to be found. If you bump into 'Shining Angel', tell him I said he did a decent job, just less trash talk next time and have more fun with it.

Great thing about opinions is that everyone has em...but believe me, you dont HAVE to go all Human for PvP. If you go with Nova and switch to Human & Dwarf for heals...there aren't any toggles to retoggle. Like everyone has said, you can build a PB so many different ways and a Nova form that hits like a truck from 170ft away (blaster/corr/dom base snipe range) is how I play mine and it does well.

    This...

"Well, like I said before, pick a specialty and go with it. I'd never try to take the forms and the 3 human shields, so retoggling wouldn't be an issue.

Personally I like having the awesome range and damage combo that Nova puts out. You still get all the benefits of heals etc. from human, plus you put out a lot more damage. Also, the "shifting downtime" can be lessened by traveling (fly or run) while you shift.
