I don't think so...but I was just pointing out besides the flying and laserbeam eyes (and technololgy is getting us there slowly but surely), it's really the same concept from a social standpoint.

If they are comparable, I can understand by your apparent attitude why you would be making a point about teaming/being social in a video game.

That's reasonable enough, but unless your a twin or some other mutation when born, you start life out which contains solo content...sucking on a bottle and needing a diaper change are rough AVs to tackle though. Can't live without a team of at least one other person to feed you and wipe your a** for awhile. There are times in real life when you don't need help at all, but sooner or later you're gonna need a Controller or Tanker to help you get a loan or to take some aggro off of you.

    The game seems pretty similiar.

One of the City's last honest cop, framed as the City's big bad, believed killed but taken in by a group of circus performers, taught various skills to craft a superhero persona similar to his son's favorite comic book hero. Summer Glau is the young honest reporter who teams up with him while he tries to bring the real bad guys to justice and clear his name.
It puts me in mind of great cheesy hero flicks like:

Manimal, an American action–adventure series that ran from September 30 to December 17, 1983 on NBC. The show centers on the character Dr Jonathan Chase (Simon MacCorkindale), a shape-shifting man who possessed the ability to turn himself into any animal he chose. He used this ability to help the police solve crimes.

    and:

Night Man aired in syndication from 15 September 1997 to 17 May 1999. Johnny Domino is a well-known San Franciscan jazz musician who is accidentally struck by a lightning bolt in a freak cable-car accident. The strike allows him to telepathically recognize evil but robs him the ability to sleep. Although Night Man has no other superhuman powers on his own, he owns a special bulletproof bodysuit that gives him several abilities, including flight, holographic camouflage-style invisibility and advanced sight functions through the round red lens over his left eye including the ability to see in the dark and fire a laser beam.

Yeah, the same thing I was trying to convey in my original post. Not to take away from Ill/Rads, but as far as soloing GMs/AVs...I just run my Ill/Cold troller or Mind/Fire Dom if I feel like going that route.

LOL. Teddy should have went to Japan and ended the WWII by punching a bunch of dudes in the face then. Btw, wasn't TR a bell bottom wearing Navy guy before becoming a horse jockeying Cavalryman? Just asking...

If you really want to save money, I'd say make some basic IOs for your toons so you don't have to buy new enhancements every few levels.

from the OP: "but i might also try soloing GM's with it."
from me: "Awhile ago I ran a Earth/Rad into the 20s and found the damage output not good enough for me...I wasn't able to solo much."

Sorry if anyone mistook what I was trying to say. It wasn't my intention to complain about the damage output, it just wasn't for me and I wanted to address one of the OP's requirements.

You're right about not liking the low damage on Ice & Elec control, thats why I went with with Doms for these sets with hard hitting secondaries.

I know that I am more likely to respond to a quick, concise question than a general post where I'll have to spend a long time trying to figure out what the problems are and then spend a long time having to type out a response . . . knowing that half of the time, the person pays no attention to my advice, because he looks at it differently than I do.
I hear you. It just still surprises me when anyone posts a build, asks for general thoughts and hundreds of views later...no responses. It also surprises me when someone does the above, gets a lot of different views/responses and the OP never signs back into the thread to say thanks or quickly state which direction they will head with the advice received.

When everything is said and done, it's not always a bad thing when the "experts" may not have a chance to respond to a request for build advice...it forces people to do their own forum research and possibly get a better understanding of how powers/IOs work etc.

    Was really fun too.

Does anyone else here have a PvP character that is considered very poor, but made it to 400 rep?
Gratz. Always cool to see ppl still enjoying non FOTM toons. I used to laugh every time I saw this one AR/Dark corr get kills in zone.

Also just thought about it...you can also mail money and things to yourself now. I used to run regular content outside of Praetoria and then mail money and enhancements to my Prae toons.

    I think...
    open email
    to: @globalname
    insert money amount

I'm sure the experts will come out soon with some good advice, but here's my 2cents. Awhile ago I ran a Earth/Rad into the 20s and found the damage output not good enough for me...I wasn't able to solo much. You could probably proc out your attacks or wait for your pet, but I think this toon is more of a solid controller/supporter.

    GLHF sir.

    Not always though...
Like I said earlier, you can post a build and get 500+ views with little or no help. Not sure what that x factor is that causes people to respond/not respond, but it happens.

Nearly as powerful compared to what? Not looking for a battle, just asking.

Agreed and on top of it all, even though it's not rocket science, making builds on MIDs gets easier the more you play around with it as opposed to, "Is it possible someone can make me some nice builds due to me not having enough experience in mids :P".

Just a matter of doing it and should give you a better understanding of powers etc as well.

True for the most part, but sometimes you can actually post a build, indicate what your playstyle is/what the end results are going to be and still not have anyone really reply with assistance at all. I see this less in the Controller forums than others but it still happens. I guess it's just one of those things.

You and the wife pick a cpl of interesting AE mishs to run, get the tickets, do the rolls and sell your street product on the market. Easy/quick enough way to get some money while exploring some of the cool AE stories.

Also, I don't know how it works...but maybe you could contact NCSOFT and ask about your old account?
