As a hero there are three arcs that can be obtained inside the Midnighter Club (the Steel Canyon lobby holds the contact), each one of these awards access to Ouroborous upon completion, based on the concept that the toon has been 'exposed to time travel.' Alternately, ANY toon L25+ can get access if they use a portal opened by a toon that already possesses the power.

I've had toons gain the power at L21 for completing one of those Midnighter-given arcs, which lets them open the portal but not actually use it. Talk about frustrating!

Ok, so I'm looking at starting from scratch on Freedom. Reckon I'll be asking more questions once I hit L25 or so, like, what channel should I subscribe to for Freedom PvP?
  3. This is what I expected, but I hoped there was some secret cadre of PvPers shunning all other Infinity channels. Oh well.

My decision to stay on Infinity is because I intend to spec my Main for PvP, but also stay active within the PvE community that knows me. And of course I have a SG base there which would take some time to rebuild elsewhere.

That and, I'm just plain broke. Had they offered more free server transfers I may have moved the toon during the Winter Event, if I could have convinced the rest of my SG to move with me.

My follow up question is, does anyone PvP on the Test server? That seems like a good place for toons from any NA server to meet and beat each other, but then again I'm not looking so much for badges or drops as I am the PvP experience.
  4. All my main toons are on Infinity. I either cannot or will not move them to Freedom and I would rather use their 3rd builds for PvP than roll brand new versions of them on another server. So my real question is, how can I find PvP on Infinity, when all the globals I belong to seem to have folks that only go to PvP zones to get temp powers? I'm more than willing to faceplant till I figure out how to use my powers properly; heck, I'll even be a punching bag for a badge-***** as long as I get to try some real PvP... on Infinity.
  5. I've actually had the Morality tip drop while still carrying 3 Alignment tips, but the point is still valid; the Alignment tips you have after doing the 10th one are not going to do you any good. Dump them so you don't miss the Morality tip when it comes.

Oh, you mean like THIS one, which was distributed by TROMA and had special effects done by H. R. Giger?

  7. The requirements that the CCA imposed in the 1950s are not the same requirements that they imposed in the 1970s, which is when Marvel was finally able to publish TOMB OF DRACULA (prior to that, they had to use a 'living vampire', aka Morbius) and WEREWOLF BY NIGHT (instead of that scienfifically created lycanthrope "Man-Wolf"). So yes, the CCA tried to keep up with the times, in the same sense that Minimum Wage has kept up with Inflation.

    Children

The last time I was in the Ski Chalet, I saw a horribly mishappen thing in a toga that looked like a cross between a chimpanzee and a tarantula, and it was wearing a toga!

I shudder to think that the children of Paragon City might look anything like that... thing. If so, no wonder they aren't allowed outside; it would scare away all the mobs!

  10. As a mere 33 monther, I am glad to see useful but not gamebreaking powers handed out like this. I'll be anxiously awaiting my own auctionhouse access power, but it won't kill me or leave me with a huge disadvantage NOT to have it now. And who can't use a(nother) self-rez power?
  11. Really, the Huntsman Arachnos build sounds like the way to go. Hit level 20 as fast as you can and do tips to become a hero, then you can completely ignore the Arachnos background of the AT. Just make sure you do the mission arc at L10 to get your extra costume slot so you don't have to LOOK like a Spider either.

Really, the WarWolf head isn't perfect, but it IS... heads and tails ahead of what we the players have available. I truly believe this existing piece of in-game sculpt/art should be the easiest fix in the world for them to appease those of us wanting a wolf head.

Well, we can still use out Vanguard Merits to buy Heavies and Gr'ai Matter components, so I see no reason for interest in raids to drop.
  14. See? and that's why you're the awesomest! We can still unlock these items per character with merits OR we can unlock them account-wide via a micro-transaction. Everybody wins.

And the fact that us active players get the global unlock FREE just for being loyal customers is even MORE awesomer!

I don't think I could be any more excited, unless you were to sneak us a peak at a new animal head...

    YES!!
  15. What if.... you could have alternate sets of 5 costumes?

Blapperman has no problem changing out of his tights into his dayjob persona of Blapp Erman, reporter, then throwing on his Vanguard armor for a night of Rikti stomping, etc. But when invited to attend a fancy dress opportunity with the Rikti ambassador, he has no appropriate attire. So a quick dash to the nearest tailor (or superbase item created for this purpose) allows him to select Wardrobe #2. Now Blapperman can show up in tophat and tails, or Vanguard armor sans helmet, or that wacky 'zombified Blapperman' costume he made so Honoree wouldn't feel so out of place, etc.

No changes would need to be made to the current costume selection interface; the only thing needed would be a new, similar interface to select which wardrobe closet to use. Have this access unlockable somehow at Level 50, and nothing has to change with the curent methods of slotting costumes; they're all still special and you still have to work for them, but those poor VEATs still can't see all their costumes till they hit L50 (yes I have VEATs, no I don't wanna overly cater to them, because they already GET a costume slot no one else does!).

While I'd be fine with unlocking the entire 5-slot wardrobe in one fell swoop, I could also see the advantage to having each slot unlocked seperately. Maybe all 5 (4 for VEATS) slots can be unlocked with Halloween Salvage, putting them on a par with candy canes as far as desirability goes, as soon as the Wardrobe is unlocked. Maybe there are other requirements (accolades, Incarnate slots, certain dayjobs, etc) for each slot.

The one thing I wouldn't do is make the first slot free with the unlocking of Wardrobe #2; I'd have it be something you buy with merits, Halloween salvage, or other non-task, to give eneryone else the chance to catch up to the VEAT costume total without robbing them of their advantage or denying them a mission reward.
  16. Er... #5 and #6 on your list are both me. Crazy1van = player, Fitheal McClurichaun the brute = toon.

Ok, so I guess I DIDN'T forget any.

  19. Which AT I bring depends on if this is red or blue... which I could have deduced from the use of Talos as a meeting place had I applied a modicum of brain power.

    Which means I'll be bringing

Fitheal McClurichaun - War Mace / WP Brute
  20. The BIG one of course is all the Praetorian Only badges. Being a loyalist, or resistance, or confirming / switching said allegiance, or listening to the guy in the tutorial babble... probably more I cannot recall, but the point is, no one who started as a hero OR villain can acquire any of them.... yet.
  21. I haven't seen a COP on Infinity in months; which channels do you promote them on? In any case, I'd love to participate in one, and will almost definitely be online that night.

One question; I assume this is blueside?
  22. Doubt it will happen, but I'd love to have more costume slots per toon!
  23. You stole all the candy canes off the office Christmas Tree to trade them in for a badge.
  24. The Train. The Train should be an actual zone or mini-map where things happen. When was the last time you saw superheroes in movies or comics take the train to get to the scene of a crime? Never. But when was the last time you saw superheroes doing cool stuff ON a train? Batman Begins, Spider-Man 2, Hellboy, HEROES Season 1, etc.

The Train as a convenience for traveling between zones makes sense in a modern MMO setting, but it falls very short of feeling like the superhero genre it is being used in. Give me the chance to do something on that train, instead of having it be just a door with multiple destinations.

The same can apply to ferries, arachnos flyers, blimps and the shuttle that would take you to various destinations within the four Shadow Shard zones if it existed.

    Fix Praetoria

Nearly every toon I've started in Praetoria has gotten to L20 too fast; I have to turn off XP to be able to do the appropriate arcs. The only toons I don't start in Praetoria these days are Arachnos and Kheldians; I can always go back and do the lowbie red and blue stuff through flashback.

I'd love to see them expand Praetoria, but fix it? The only fix I could wish for would be to fix the unfortunate push to get L20s out!
