His body was property of the military? And some people call the BDSM community messed up and weird.

Let these examples be a lesson to anyone who would want to save the world. First off, never join the military (Admiral Ackbar said it best: "It's a trap!")! Second, before you save it, have the entire planet's population all sign a legally binding agreement that will protect you from all liability. Refuse to do a thing until they all sign it!

Sometimes longer, sometimes shorter. Sometimes a LOT shorter. This seems to be human nature. In the end we're all just a bunch of clever apes that like to bicker constantly at each other.

If this board wasn't moderated, and you looked at the last few posts from each and every mile long thread, I'd wager they'd all read just about the same!
  5. The proc does work when you're exemp'd. It's just that you exemp'd so low that the power you slotted it in was turned off. That's how it works. That's how it's always worked!

  8. I say if there's a 3rd movie, the main villain ought to be the Dominion.

Because they are somehow aware of the change in the timeline. Knowing how things originally turned out, they decide to make a pre-emptive strike on an Alpha Quadrant that is not at all ready for them.

    ALL the toys!
  10. Aren't there actually two levels of grey? Perhaps it would make sense to get 1 inf and/or 1 prestige for grey conning foes that are, oh... say, at most ten levels below yours?

Or how about 2 inf for foes that are six and seven levels below you, and 1 inf for foes between eight and ten levels below you? I think you actually do get inf for defeating foes that are five levels below you, right? Or correct me if I'm wrong.
  11. The last pizza I had from the Hut was rather tasteless. I think they need to work harder on making their pizzas taste good instead of these silly gimmicks.

Until then, I'm sticking with Round Table. :9
  12. Another reboot? Yay, we get to see a superhero's origin story *again*. Sigh...
  13. I'm guessing the transport is that vehicle. Who gets to control it? If it gets destroyed, do all the occupants get defeated?
  14. Well I hope it's released soon then. I've been saving up my points!

The escape button also does that. The escape button also deselects any friend or foe you have targeted, if any. I think it will also remove any power queue you currently have.

  17. I very much like the idea of catalysts being able to be used on uncommon and rare IO sets. Even if they don't boost IOs values or the set bonuses, but just allow those bonuses to be usable at any level, it'd be worth it!

Because any Heroic or Villainous group that allows it's renagade members to use it's facilities while performing feats that are contrary to the faction it is aligned with is condoning those actions.

And as much as some people don't like it, the devs have made it abundantly clear that SG's are multi-player content regardless of the fact that many of us jump thru hoops to use SG's/bases as personal solo content.
By that reckoning, that means it would be more correct for the base's "faction" to be whatever is the faction of the majority of that base's group members.

That means if more than half of them go from hero, to vigilante, to villain, their base should become a villain base.

I'd been thinking of maybe getting a new keyboard from Unicomp, though I must admit I've been kind of swayed by the allure of certain other keyboards, like the ones that have backlit keys.

    Thanks, Sevenpenny. Now I know!

Or even just accidentally kicking or hooking one of the plugs out of the strip and crashing something. As can be seen in most of the set ups in this thread, there's a lot of room behind the wide flat screen monitors. Getting the strip off the floor also makes the available sockets more convenient for when you want to temporarily plug in a charger or something.
My computer's power comes from a UPS that's situated to the left of the desk. The monitor and speakers are also plugged into it. The power strip which you can barely see in the picture delivers power for the router, a FiOS set top box, and a VHS VCR. Yes, I still have one of those.
  22. I've never thought about this before. I think most of my characters that depend on ranged attacks will move around a bit (mostly to keep enemies from closing in to melee distance), but my melee toons tend to plant themselves while delivering their smackdowns. Though I will often set them to auto-follow the next target I tab to, once I've defeated the previous one.

So... yeah! I loves my clicky keyboard!
  24. This is what my computer setup looked like about a year ago.

It still kinda looks like that, but since then I've replaced the motherboard, the CPU, the RAM, and hard drives and the video card, the PSU and probably a lot of other things.

Soon enough I will be getting a new case, and a better CPU, a new operating system, even more RAM, and probably a lot of other things.

This is how you do it when you're like me and you can assemble your own computer, but you never have enough money to buy all that stuff at once, so you have to buy it a piece at a time.
  25. I'm really, really curious what the difference is between these attuned purple sets and the purple IO sets, when they are amplified to +5 by enhancement boosters.
