ah much better, yeah i was so excited to get the special edition cape and symbol!
[/ QUOTE ]
I made a special Arachnos inspired costume when my villain hit 50. Cape and chest emblem ready to inspire terror and serve as a highly visible target for Longbow meat puppets! -
Definitely agree.
So far I haven't had a bad experience (fingers crossed) with various artists who do commissions, but I'd be pretty suspicious if I came across a website that almost mirrored word for word what another website is offering.
I also make a point of seeking permission from pencillers and inkers when I have a commission that I want coloured by someone else. I usually get the nod, based on the quality work of the artist doing the colors, and ensuring that due credit remains in place.
Hopefully one day I can save up enough pennies to get a masterpiece created by Gill. -

Impressive image! Is it just me, or does her facial features seem somewhat "Jessica Alba"? Kind of reminds me of her look from Dark Angel - of course she couldn't shoot ice.
[/ QUOTE ]
Of course Jessica can melt ice.
Vexiphne has a really great gallery and her prices are very reasonable. I wasn't expecting the final print to be so large, and she included a sig forum for free as well. -

Congrats on the new site relaunch! Really impressive.

What is it? It's freaking great.

I always saw Inspirations as a hero thinking back to a past victory or particular success and gaining inspiration - like a momentary boost to their moralle. It seemed to make sense that way since you gain them when an enemy falls, thus allowing you to think back on that particular opponent and gain courage from your victory over him.
[/ QUOTE ]
I also share that view: The sudden rush of adrenaline, courage born of desperation, dredging up that extra ounce of strength, pushing oneself to the edge - etc. cliche etc.
But the idea of a performance enhancing drug/stimulant inspirations has its appeal - you could easily see villains doing this. Popping a pill here, jabbing yourself with a needle there. Quality approved products courtesy of Aeon, Crey or Arachnos itself. Prolonged use may lead to unexpected side effects... like shortened life expectancy. heh
And if you talk science and technology in CoX-verse then you could have advanced bio-tech implants or command override protocols that do the same thing. -

Ok, here is the touched up'd version.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's very nice.
When I looked at the previous version I couldn't quite tell where the tail began so to speak (trying to be tactful).
Now it looks more tail-ish to my eyes. Another job well done. -
That's just beautiful.

Varies I suppose. usually it's 4-6 weeks for me for the work I've requested, but all the artists I've dealt with though have lots of other projects.
[/ QUOTE ]
Same here. At least the regular updates keep you salivating for the final piece. -
Yeah I remember it, very funny.
The video was "Thank You" by Mr Abyss. Done to celebrate the one year anniversary of CoH. Set to the song "Who Put the Bomp" by Barry Mann.
The thread and link to the video is here -

Looking forward to the finished piece!
Sent a PM to you with query. -

A few of my pieces are in my sig. I'm updating my website tomorrow ( DouglasShuler.com ) to include a ton more samples and more info on commissions.

That is absolutely fantastic AzA! I'm sure TA is going to drop to his knees and blubber like a baby at the sight of this.
Well done. -
My Necromancy/Dark Miasma Mastermind, Rack.
Rack and the Rackettes
Bio:
"Rack is an infiltration/exfiltration expert. He rarely deviates from his mission objectives and prefers stealth, subterfuge and precise, surgical strikes than outright combat to accomplish mission objectives. While not physically imposing, Rack should be considered highly dangerous and dealt with extreme caution. He has been reported as a confirmed kill on numerous occassions by our personnel, only to be engaged in combat minutes later, completely unharmed. Even extensive use of the emergency medical teleportation system cannot easily explain away the apparent undying nature of Rack. Perhaps there is some credence to the rumours that Rack is indeed already dead, or not completely alive. Regardless, Racks appearance certainly gives the impression of an emaciated human corpse. All personnel are advised to use maximum force when confronting Rack and under no circumstances are personnel to engage or apprehend Rack alone. A sighting of Rack is almost always a precursor to an ambush or pre-planned objective related offensive by the undead minions Rack commands."
-Classified Longbow Report
The villain known as Rack was born Hadrian Jonas Quinn on November 11th, 1920. The son of an American diplomat, Hadrian Quinn grew up in Berlin where his father was eventually stationed after World War I.
During World War II, Hadrian Quinn served as a field operative of the O.S.S., and was eventually stationed in the ruins of Berlin towards the end of the War. Covertly deployed behind enemy lines as a German Sniper, Hadrian Quinn was pitted not against the remaining German forces, but the dreaded Soviet Secret Police - the NKVD.
In what would be the opening phases of the Cold War, Hadrian Quinns mission was twofold - the assassination of certain NKVD officers, and sabotaging NKVD efforts to acquire German nuclear and rocketry technology for the Soviet Union.
Hadrian Quinn continued this clandestine war against the NKVD for nearly a year after the War in Europe officially ended in 1945. He was eventually recalled back to the United States for debriefing in the spring of 1946.
