Aye well done Kitty and DC
For tonights activity, and in preparation for the debt fest (sorry - strike force) on Saturday, I shall be marauding around warburg obtaining nukes.
All welcome to join me - will be boring as sin, but I might fist me some Toxics while I'm at it for ye olde badge.
On a related note - does anyone have a nice CoT mission with a red crystal - or know a post 45 contact that gives it - I feel like sitting in the red glow for a few days :P

Circle of Tarot is, I believe, a Dev VG/SG - I've been tracking the top 10 VG's Prestige (so I can monitor how well D&VS are doing) and Circle of Tarots has never moved even by 1 prestige - leading me to believe its Dev - or dead. (if that latter can we raid thier piggy banks
)

A wee note to our esteemed base decorators - check out this linky (its one of the larger US bases) - I rather like their coloured walls - and especially like the letters on the banners - don't know how they did that though!

Re the scorp damage I saw it do about 5 ticks of 56 (or was it 64) to a brute in granite armour when we tested them in our base... This compares to 1 blast of 106 for an elite ice cannon - both with same number of damage boosters.
Note the scorps use a LOT more power though (500)

Additional bugs we saw tonight to add to Jon's (which is the most serious and imho a game-breaker for all badgers)
Several of our players got debt from MM pets during attack
Several base items (Circuit breakers and teleport beacons) were destroyed in the raid and did NOT repair at end of raid. This could have been very costly if it were crafted items that we'd lost as you had to sell and replace them to get them working.
I've /bugged these but please be careful guys before raiding at the momentSeems its still pretty rough around the edges.

Hi guys,
Just a little advanced notice that the base will be offline tomorrow PM from about 2pm while I do a little re-arranging and boost the defenses a little.
Best guess is it'll take me about 2-3 hours (as it is quite delicate!) I'll be restricting base access whilst I make the changes just to reduce the risk of crashes that lose the work I have done to that point.
After that I'll be back and keen to get some XP rolling in to make up for my lack of attendance this week! -
Just to say this is no longer an issue - both the Demons and EVIL formed teams when attacking each other last night - not a single crash (well just one player on our team but that was modem-related).
This is NOT to say raids are either bug free or balanced yet... sadly far from it. -
Hola all - just to say I won't be around much this week - hotel conn is iffy at best.
But I shall be monitoring the forums.... Could someone update MoTD - we've been asked if we fancy another raid next w/e by Violators - again an "8v8" ish. So if you want to drum up some interest that would be good - if nothing else its a bit of a laugh and something a bit different. -
Just to say thanks vm for the raiding guys - we had a great time - apologies for the slight mixup on numbers - we did honestly think we saw 10 in your base - prolly pets I guess.
Anyway - that matters not - was good fun and showed a few problems with raiding (like the fact its gonna be DAMN hard to win now!)

Just had a rather nasty crash here... got a mapserver disconnected "try again" message, tried to exit got a nasty purple screen with jsut the door to the mish visible, now I can't log back in :P
Get the updater (tried reverifying files), but although I get the splash screen I never get the login. We all out? -
Minor update to base - added insp and enhancement holders - suggest we just hold SO enhancements and any and all insps.
All traffic into and out of them is logged - so anyone caught taking excessive amounts who doesn't earn prestige or contribute can be prodded
Oh and I set the access so all can deposit but all except recruits can withdraw. Figure recruits shouldn't be recruits for long. -

As you know we got a rather nice new SG Badge the other day that allows us to build Scorpion Turrets.
Well I have - and we've tested them... and they are good.
Here's the comparison:
Standard Igniter:
Costs 25k to place, no salvage, 3 aux connections (dam boosters etc)
Elite Chill:
Costs 25k to place, uses some VERY rare salvage, max 4 aux
Scoripion:
Costs 1k to place, no salvage, max 10 aux!
Damage wise we saw the Scorpion doing ticks of 56 damage (6 ticks we think) against a granite armoured brute - so we think that would be about half a squishies health in one pop - compared to our elite chill which did 106 dam in one tick. Its Lethal Dam with KB btw (so resisted - but look at what it still did to granite).
Oh and one other nice thing... they're hidden in the floor until they pop up to fire (they seem to stay up then - so I left them up in the base so you can all see them as they look rather nice)

Well I made it on by about 11 - just in time to catch Jon rifling through kittys laundry in the base again.... tsk tsk - the IR cameras see through hide you know mate.
Managed to grind away (in the XP generating sense) in RV so only a bar from 44 now - ta for saving the badge missions and my stoney behind is out of here - on my way! -
Sorry I couldn't make it on tonight guys - am actually still at work
some really rather fedup guys here (myself included).... hey ho such is life and will see you tomorrow!

And you'd win that bet. As for it being buffed since I7 - ouch is all I can say :P buuut.... given our usual tactic I would expect it to only be an EB so should be easy....

Hola all,
Have made a few vids demonstrating the rather nice new particle and physics effects (with the PhysX card installed).
Have popped them onto my brothers webspace - so, bandwidth allowing here they are (each around 75 meg I'm afraid!)
This first one mainly shows the particle effects as the containers blow on a Mayhem mish, quite a few familiar faces here too!

This next one shows Lady Distortion using propel to good effect on some more evil containers... hmm heroic containers then i guess...

The next two I'm rather pleased with. This first one, Bullet time, was when Lady D had used the grav aoe immob on a couple of close targets after they had fired their machine guns somewhat. The grav powers pickup the bullets and because the pull is equal between the two minions they are suspended between them.... That is until one of them has a very unfortunate fisting related accident. At which point you see the physics engine recognise the change in the grav field and move the bullets to flow around just one of the minions.

And lastly I brought Rifty and his Sing out to play, Sing being a huge grav anomoly himself has great fun with all the debris, you see him holding a load of it, then dropping it as I move him off (he can carry small bits (like leaves :P ) quite a way) Then as I move him back in he again disturbs the rubbish.

All I would say is that it would be even cooler if the bodies now were persistent as well and were effected in a similar way.... mind you I guess we'd end up with huge piles of corpses being kicked all over the place.
Here's hoping they fix the bug they introduced with the last patch so I can stop having the occasional crash when I turn the card on at the mo.
