Aren't recipes always dropped at team's actual lvl, not exemped lvl? (mnever tested that with exemping, SKing of course does make recipes you get higher lvl than normal)
[/ QUOTE ]Recipes are dropped based on the level of the mobs/arcs you're doing. -

I have the Steadfast knockback and defence IOs in my Crab Armor.
[/ QUOTE ]So do I, and it works very well. -
Well, yes and no. It works well for soloing, but I had hoped to be able to keep agro in teams too; but relying only on Provoke to do so doesn't work very well.
Also, Bots/Traps is -insanely- boring to play, so he's stuck at level 42 for now. Plus, since I have a 50 Thugs MM, the damage from the Bots feels pretty low, heh. -

Honestly, why shoot down an idea that would not affect you -at all- if it was in the game, yet would make others happy?

Superjump is kinda like a gimped fly. It works in a half-@$$3d way. It isn't quicker than fly but it has significant disadvantages over fly - ask anyone who's ever landed in a mob bigger than them
[/ QUOTE ]Super Jump is almost as fast as Super Speed and has vertical movement and air control; as you don't really need to travel much higher vertically than what SJ can provide anyway in nearly any situation outside of Grandville, this gives SJ significant advantages over both Fly and Super Speed.
Also, it's in the same pool as Combat Jumping and Acrobatics. -
I use widescreen and my enhancements are still circles.
Are you sure you're using a widescreen resolution option? When I got my widescreen monitor, things were stretched out for a while... Until I noticed that the game seems to really not want to change resolutions unless I do it like 20 times in a row (but that's another bug for another thread). Everything looked fine once I changed to a fullscreen resolution. -

Aww, why no actual increase to normal flight speed? How are we supposed to be faster than a speeding bullet?
[/ QUOTE ]
If flight is increased too much then superspeed will (by a technical pov) be the inferior travelpower by a large margin.
[/ QUOTE ]Psh, it already is.
Even though both of my 50s who took travel powers use it. -

They could have a portal to the realm where Infernal came from.
Hes Medieval, as is his dimension. Given hes pals with the Phalanx, surely if there was trouble back home he could get people to help?
[/ QUOTE ]An alternate dimension medieval-themed zone, yet with unique elements to the CoX lore to keep it from being generic (so it doesn't have to have orcs and goblins). Cool idea, would keep everyone happy. -
Warshades rely too much on fighting large amounts of enemies at once, and keeping them where they want them.
-
Wow, and I already considered Hover + Swift fairly speedy. Good to know.

Ah, right - thanks for the replies guys! On a side note, does Roots have enough -kb to just use Tornado as damage power? And would the chance for smashing damage proc be with it in Tornado?
[/ QUOTE ]Yes and yes; though I'm unsure how good the proc would be, as I'm pretty sure it rolls for a proc chance only once every 10 seconds.
Enhanced Tornado for damage like you would an attack, though; it's worth it. -

I'd go for a Night Widow. They put out some sick single target DPS and have -regeneration debuffs. -

That's like asking if anyone would wear any of the outfits shown at London/Paris/Milan/NY Fashion Week. They're not meant to be outfits/hairstyles you wear, they're meant to show off the talent of the creator and provide inspiration to the masses.
[/ QUOTE ]Eh, call me a [insert whichever derogatory term is most appropriate], but I never found any real point in those either. I'm a practical person; why waste cloth for something that is not meant to actually be worn, and often tends to look ugly on the stick-figure models anyway? -
I want death traps. Heroes gather in a room, suddenly a cutscene on a monitor shows the villain taunting them as the doors close, and swarms of special tough mobs with nasty abilities enter through secret side passages.
Or the ceiling starts to descend and they have to destroy the door before it squishes them - hope you're not on a low DPS team. -
Stone/Elec would be fun. Stone's uber active mitigation ability would largely help Elec's squishyness, and Elec's Lightning Reflexes and Power Sink would help Stone for recharge and endurance-hungryness. Stone Melee puts out some sick single target damage with high recharge builds, assuming your endurance can handle it. Grab Hasten.

Slightly OT, I've always wondered why you have an "Arachnos" and "Non Arachnos" starting option, but your patrons are all Arachnos lakeys. I'd like to see some "Non Arachnos" patrons too, with some of the nicer powers from the EPPs thrown in there (tho I realise these would need to be balanced against the existing PPPs)
[/ QUOTE ]I keep saying they whould use some of the AVs from Viridian's tea party as non-Arachnos Patrons. To tie them into the Project: DESTINY storyline, you could be an infiltrator who gets caught up in the whole mess halfway through.
Or, eh, if the devs really want to keep the game Arachnos-centric, just have the player betray the non-Arachnos patron after the 2nd arc (like you do to Recluse's henchmen anyway) and end up in a situation where the player and Patron are forced to help Arachnos with the project anyway. -
Eh, the option hasn't even existed that long yet, would the riot really be that bad if it were removed?

There are very few arcs above level 40 without EB's.
[/ QUOTE ]As arcs are optional, my point still stands. Heck, once per three days you can run an arc up to the final mission and drop it for end end-of-arc XP bonus. Or, you know, ask a friend to help you with the EB or something if you're too poor to afford Lucks from your contact.
And there still are arcs without EBs in the 40s. -
Interested in an Elec/Elec/Elec Blapper, mostly bouncing around in melee and pretending to be a squishy Brute.

I think the ideal solution would be some kind of combination between merits drops and random rolls
[/ QUOTE ]Yup, what I said earlier. Get rid of the ability to buy specific recipes for Merits, leave only the random rolls and insps. That way people still only get randoms for doing TFs like they used to, but they get more than one roll for doing lengthy content (5 and a half random rolls from Doc Q!).
Sounds fair, no? -
Would any sane person actually wear their hair like that, anywhere..?
-
Eh, I got Blitz from 1 to 50 (my first one, even) almost entirely through soloing. And this was before the exp curve adjustments and other changes.
Also, you don't have to do EB missions: You are WARNED before accepting these, the NPC tells you it'd be a good idea to get help, because you may or may not be able to handle it alone. Reading mission descriptions is a valuable skill.
Complaining about optional content is a little silly, don't you think?
