I prefer to smash my way through the straightest, most direct path to the goal in question, usually. Leaving mobs that we may miss/not notice along the way, and so on, but still actually fighting. That's just me though.
I don't mind ghosting, normally. My Warshade can, and has, ghosted missions for teams. Sure, it's more fun to unleash AoE death to the mobs between point A and point B, but it's just saving some time for one mission, right?
Well, not always. There will be the occasional team that wants to ghost five out of six of the missions in the Cap au Diable Strike Force (the first is a defeat all). Yes, that includes the "take Tech to computer" one, sometimes, somehow. At that point I tend to question why I even bothered joining in the first place; merits are fun and all, but I could've done a higher level SF with more powers and less ghosting for more merits, and had more fun with it.
Like I said, I have nothing against ghosting as a way of speeding through content; but I've never actually -enjoyed- rushing like that, either. Would be nice if people mentioned in the invite that the SF run is going to be an uber speed run past the first Legacy Chain defeat-all. -

Mmyes. Heck, even pure human Warshades are great now. The only (personal) reasons I disliked it when I tried it was the lack of mez protection, and that Orbiting Death is bugged.

Actually, not really. Does it actually improve the game having a more powerful character?. Cant see it myself. All cotent can be done on an average one. Character development? I cant see anything behind that.
Is a more powerful character more fun? Funnily enough, I find it marginally more dull.
Im not knocking farming here, im just trying to understand something I cannot empathise with.
[/ QUOTE ]Enhancing your character with expensive stuff gives you something to -do- with your 50 after you're done leveling him, I guess.
In some cases, the increases to character performance can have extremely obvious effects too, as is the case with Permadoms; or, permaing various buffs in general, such as Eclipse or Sunless Mire. -
Encourages making farming alts even more than people already do. Not going to explore my own opinions on farming in this thread (don't want to derail it), but the devs seem to look down upon it, so I find this an unlikely change.

Don't think it's possible due to the recharge enhancement cap.

Subjective thoughts are one thing, outright false information is another. And this thing is full of it.

Hard to gauge as Elusivity is new and doesn't show up in Detailed Info of powers, so... uh, I don't know what else to say. I'll just go with "lolPvP" like everyone else.

The oddest thing I've seen is the positive rarity of what use to be a very common and for the large part ignored Melee set, Kinetic Crash, before Merits you could pick them up really cheaply, since merits you just don't see them anymore.
[/ QUOTE ]I think you mean Kinetic Combat; Kinetic Crash is a Knockback set.
And yeah, I bought them all (cheaply!) when I first glimpsed the patch notes from the beta server about typed defense set bonuses getting buffed. Sorry about that. -
Wouldn't it need to be higher than 45% in PvP? Mobs have a base 50% chance to hit, players have 75%.
Unless I missed something, somewhere. -

(IMO the crab melee attacks are a bit lackluster).
Also IMO, if you are going pet heavy, CT: Assault is better than Aim.
[/ QUOTE ]I can confirm both of these from experience. I dumped Aim on my Crab to make room for regular Assault, too.
Can't comment on Tough/Weave as I couldn't fit them in. I would have wanted to, though. -
I think they can't make SS faster due to engine limitations. If I recall correctly, anyway.

unleash the leviathan
[/ QUOTE ]1) This would destroy Sharkhead Isle, villains would need a replacement zone.
2) It'd be too powerful. But hey, people are probably bored of the Hamidon, a new 50 man raid encounter would be a breath of fresh air. -
Might be different versions of Infernal then... The one I've fought in Mu'Drakhan's arcs tended to lose his pets to one or two well placed AoEs.

Another thing with the likes of Infernal and Calstix. They are dangerous because of thier ability to summon boss rank pets. Even downgraded, they would still be able to summon boss rank pets. Putting asside the oddness of minions being more powerful than thier master, it would mean that if you stuggle to defeat them at EB rank you would still find them difficult if doungraded to bosses.
[/ QUOTE ]Infernal's demons only have Minion HP, don't they?
[/ QUOTE ]
I never bother to kill pets. They just get resummoned. So their hp is not what is important it is their ability to rip you to pieces. So even at boss level infernal is still a dangerous opponent because of his pets. Especially if they are at +2 levels.
[/ QUOTE ]Infernal's demons have some long recharge before they can be resummoned. -

Question; Which builds can solo AVs? Because, from bitter experience, I have found said conflicts impossible.

Night Widows, /regen scrappers with high ST damage, /WP brutes, rad defenders. Quite a few others too.

Cimemora works, but only just, and in fact the only time I ever go there is for the ITF
[/ QUOTE ]There's nothing else to do there that's fun, though. -
Well, I took the leap of assumption that when people want a medieval zone for CoX, that'd include swords and sorcery.
Would be kinda dull and pointless otherwise, unless they give the enemy faction of the zone Inexplicable Badass Normal Toughness like the Cimeroran Traitors have. If they don't, then our metas could probably defeat armies by sneezing in their general direction. -

In respect of Kheldian Nova forms, I'd imagine it'd work as -fly powers currently do on them; in other words, bring them to the ground and disallow any vertical movement, without disabling the form itself
[/ QUOTE ]Nova form can still jump when affected by -fly. It looks quite funny. -
Might've been 97 point something; in any case it hits blue numbers (the cap) before 100, at level 50. My Brute has Lightning Reflexes (exactly the same as Quickness), but Hurdle instead of Swift, so unless Swift somehow lifts the cap, it's below 100; close to it, I'll admit.
Anyway, I'm just being nit-picky over digits now. I still say Super Speed is the lamest travel power, it's just the one I use most because of concept/FX. -
I think SS caps at around 92. I can't remember, as I replaced the runspeed IO in my Super Speed with the Winter's Gift slow resistance IO.
