I can't do this any more!

I've been trying to keep up with the badges, I really have, I have sat for hours in Sirens, Warburg and Bloody Bay, just in case leaving the zone cost me a badge...

I've lost out on teams with friends cos I've been hunting down Shield Generators and Eminators....

I've begged and pleaded to go on Task Forces for the badges...

I've spent hours searching Perez Park for the damn Kraken, only to ALMOST miss it, only saved by a friendly alert before I logged off.

But I can't take any more, not after last night!

In a desperate attempt to get the 4 CoV badges on my hero, I joined the rest of the big name badge hunters in an attempt to farm the relevevant mission to get them all. And things were going well, they really were, we got the first badge easily enough, but it got harder as we tried to work out how to get the right spawns we needed for the rest of the badges...

This went on till nearly 1am in the morning and I had to log. I had no choice. I had an early start for work in the morning....

But the rest of them carried on......and got the blooming badges!!!

Now, i'm never get a team like that again, seriosu badge hunters who know the pains we all go through in search of that elusive yellow letterring floating in front of our eyes as the badge registers......it's almost magical.

SO I'm not gonna ever get these badges. So I'll never be able to catch up with the big guns now.

So that's it. I give in. I admit defeat. I'm a loser, a n00b, an also-ran.

Good luck guys and MASSIVE gratz to Venture for being the first person on the Euro servers to get over 300 badges! Damn impressive, long may you reign

Umm, far be it for me to throw water on this idea, but are we sure these badges are gonna stay there, given that they are villains ones?

erm, you need at least 1 person in range of the trial (i think 39-43) and HE needs to be the leader.

If anyone under 39 tries, they get the too low message, and if anyone over 43 tries, the team gets disbanded. so yes, 8 lvl 50s cant do it, you need 1 43. at least.

Not sure about the numbers, but im almost positive this is the way every TF works.

true indeed, Venture, that's how it's supposed to work, but for some reason is bugged, you need the leader who starts it to be in range for it, or the whole team gets kicked.

Doens't happen on things like Moonfire though, just Eden AFAIK.

No, you're right, everything isn't down to personal preference, but in this particular instance, with this particular subject, I'm afraid it IS down to personal preference!

I've tried it your way, I tried it with WASD keys and the numbers across the top, and I didn't like it. The keys felt unnatural under my hand, the way the keyboard has the W key slightly to the left of the keys under it, meant i ket hitting the E key to go forward, which meant I died.

also, using the number keys above it meant having to stop moving, if only for a fraction of a second to use an attack, again, something I didn't like.

The way I have my setup running atm, I can play very happily thank you, and I would never presume to tell anyone else how to play the game either, whether it be to tell someone what keyboard settings they should or how to play their toons or whatever, cos in the end, it's down to THEIR personal preference

I almost got annoyed when my newbie friend was doing this. Each power slot in the tray has the corresponding key number written on it. how hard can it be?
Maybe the click-on-power works if your character is a Charles Xavier ripoff but without the powers, but for any Hero/Villain with a tad of self dignity, it's just s l o w.

Erm, excuse me, but I have a level 50, am working on my second and I click the tray for almost every one of my attack powers!

Surely it's whatever works for the person? We all play differently, heck, I never use the WASD configuration, tried it on this game and others and I hate it, the keys never fall in quite the right way for me.

I use the arrow keys for movement and my attack powers in the tray. My only real difference comes with my travel powers and a ew others, which is all controlled by my extra mouse buttons. I have a Logitech MX510 mouse which has 5 extra buttons on it, all of which are programmable. So on Coin, for instance, I have Fly and Hover on my two extra thumb buttons for instant access, Superspeed is on another button, as is the Map and the last button is currently set to nothing yet, until I figure out what I wanna use it for, although i might set up a bind for SG/Global chat now

On White Racer though, I have things slightly different, mainly cos I haven't taken the Flight powers yet, so the thumb buttons are set fot saying things like "ready!" in team chat and the such like.

But I still click on the tray for my attacks, I have them set in an order I like, with Build Up and Aim first, followed by ranged powers and melee powers on the next tray. , for instance.

Works for me
