  1. Well, until this is fixed, I'm not even attempting to do the Keyes trial again.

2 different nights I've tried to do this, managed it the first time, second time on an MO attempt, as soon as the trial starts and we all start to zone in, I end up back in Pocket D, kicked from the trial and unable to rejoin it.

Same again last night, we started, 3 people got kicked from it and we restarted, this time I got kicked along with at least 1 other. It's unreasonable to expect the trial to be restarted given how much is needed to sort it out, only for the risk of it happening again each time.

I've bugged it, hopefully this will get sorted damn quick, as it's annoying the crap out of me!
  2. Dammit, someone needs to tell these gorram alien kids to stop throwing rocks at our house....erm, planet!
  3. I don't know if this has been asked or covered anywhere else, but with the new Paragon Points system, will we be able to "gift" things from it to other players?

I know I've often wanted the ability to be able to buy a booster pack and "send" it to a friend and the Paragon Points seems like a good way to facilitate this.
  4. Looks good.

Most interesting bit for me, the mention of "Mr. Stark"
  5. I can't believe Jennifer Aniston is getting one for her MOVIE work!

TV work, yeah, I can see that. She was one of the most popular TV characters going for a while whilst Friends was on the go, hell, she even had the Rachel hairdo, but what movie stuff has she done to deserve a star? Marley and Me??

Nice to see Batman and Chekov getting theirs though, along with Matt Groenig and John Lasseter as well
  6. Wow, is this my first FPARN??

Anyway, looking forward to the new stuff, the new tutorial looks very interesting
  7. Trailer for the new series is out, hot on the heels of the movie

Looks interesting, can't decide on the animation style until we see more though.

Wonder if it will ever feature any other DC heroes in it? Hopefully some of the more interstellar ones, like Omega Men, L.E.G.I.O.N., Darkstars, etc?

Ok, I'll put it in simple terms then.

    I enjoyed it.

Simple as that. It's a movie, that I went to see because I wanted to be entertained. It entertained me. Job done.

I'd happily go to see it again, I'll happily pay to own it when it gets released and I've already sent numerous friends off to see it, all of whom have come back and said they enjoyed it.

    Job done

    Corrected for you

I would argue that Waller is not a bad guy per se, she's generally on the side of right, she just has a very harsh way of going about it, with things like the Suicide Squad, the Eclipso task force, etc.

As for the portrayal of Hal, well, worked fine for me. People have to stop expecting it to be just like in the comics. I've yet to see ANY superhero film that gets it right in matching all the things in the comics, even the Superman movies got it wrong, with things like amnesia kisses and levitation fingers. Recent Batman movies changed a LOT to suit the film and it worked great.

I see the same here. The basic principles of the character are right. Hal was always a flawed man, trying to deal with his life and issues and having amazing power thrust upon him and how he deals with that. Over the years he matured but at first, he was an airforce flyboy, with various origins showing he was a bit of a screw-up mess, with things like DUI's, jail time, being a loner, emotional fallout over his fathers death etc.

For me, they got Hal very right and I liked that. It was Hector Hammond they completely changed, and again, totally worked for the film.
  11. Plus.....you know.....Waller could be lying.

This is Amanda Waller, after all

Would be cool if DC used Waller in a similar way to Marvel using Samuel L Jackson did in their movies, a way to start unifying it all.

.......ok, what the hell was that??

    That's a review website?

    Sheesh!
  13. So, I'm guessing if this IS about a new MMO, this thread will get deleted pretty sharpish?

Shouldn't the makers of these comic book movies be looking to rise to standards of excellence?"
Couldn't agree more! All films should strive to be as good as movies such as this, but I don't expect them to be, to be honest

Pfft, bring it on, Foamy :P

Seriously, not saying it's the best film in the world, or even the best superhero film in the world, nor is it without it's flaws, there's always things in any film that could be done better, but compared to a LOT of other superhero flicks, it's a good, fun movie! Shall we compare it to the stodginess of Superman Returns? Or the sheer awfulness of Catwoman? What about the excrement that was Wolverine? Or X3??

Given how much it seems to be polarising opinions, I just think people should see it for themselves and then decide. I know people who love it like me and hate it like yourself. There's no universal love like Dark Knight got, nor the universal hatred that Catwoman got either.
  16. Nearly forgot, my fave bit?

When Carol recognised Hal almost instantly.

FINALLY!!! No more casual ignorance for the sake of the mythos, this made so much more sense
  17. As I said in the other thread, ignore the critics and just go enjoy a great, fun film
  18. Just got back from watching it and I loved it.

Also, I am a MASSIVE GL comics fan, especially Hal Jordan.

Really don't understand the critics. Why do they expect every movie to be some in-depth character study with hidden meaning and deeper subtext? It's a bloody Superhero movie for heavens sakes, not to mention it's a 2 hour film based on about 50 years of comic book history. How much can they realistically get in to a film and expect people to understand it?

I thought it was great fun, a perfect summer blockbuster movie for just kicking back and enjoying. LOVED how many different ring constructs were used, not just energy beams like we got in the JLU series, proper GL constructs using his imagination

    Can't wait for the sequel
  19. We need a new season 7 simply for more of.....Him!

    Don't be so sure.

I love the good Doctor, but I adored the Sherlock series as well! Can't wait for a new series of that.
  21. Seems JK Rowling has been busy with a new website...

    http://www.pottermore.com/

And the owls on the site are link to a youtube countdown.

    Intriguing.....
  22. To those who recommended that I watch the US version of the office, I just wanted to say....

    Damn, this series is amazing!

I swear, I can't stop laughing every time I see Dwight on screen!

Just about to finish season 3, so much more to come

This is probably because, as you said, most of them no longer exist

There's a great page on Wikipedia about it here, shows exactly how many episodes are missing and how many of the storylines got ruined as a result of the BBC junking years back.

    It's practically criminal, really
