Well, we've had a couple more episodes now.....including the awesome episode 7 where we actually got back to the core of Torchwood, Jack and Gwen!
Bloody excellent I thought, really enjoyed that one
Also, nice reference of The Doctor as well.
Seems we have some inlings of where it all started, no coincidence that bottle of Jacks blood being held aloft was so prominent, and with the thre mysterious gangster men, that looks like Phicorp being set up? -
-
I seriously hope that the cast and crew of 30 rock respond to this in someway, would be a great connection
And wouldn't Kenneth make a great Spiderman? -
Looks interesting, kinda like the slightly cartoonish look to it as well.
Hopefully NC Soft will let us talk about a NC Soft game on an NC Soft forum? -
Cool list, although I might have been tempted to add Blade's sword and the katana sword from Highlander, but they are as much about the people wielding them as they are about the sword
-
Quote:You're right, we are, but I was the first to put all 180 numbers :PWe're cross-posting. I added some, too, such as Huey and Dewey and the cleaning bot from Wall-E. Also Muffit from BSG and Dr. Theopolis from Buck Rogers.
It's cool though, between us we should end up a complete list! -
Quote:LOL, So it is!!
Oh and isn't #16 that stupid robot from Tom Paris's holo story on Voyager?
It's from the Captain Proton Holonovel -
Nuts, I forgot to add the original source, I found it on ComicMix :S

I also love that there's a lot of UK based ones in there as well, hell, Nunu from Teletubbies is in there!! -
Never mind that stripey twit, try this on for size
Soooo many I recognise, who can name the most?? -
You do have to wonder if it opens when you click your fingers though
-
For those who don't know, a bucket List is a list of things you want to do/should do before you die, so a lot of these actually had me laughing out loud!!
The Geek top 100 Bucket List!
I personally would kill to do number 51, have done number 73 several times, nearly choked reading number 82, would sell my very soul to do number 87 and am very sad I'll never get to do number 95.
What others would you add? -
Quote:If you do, make sure to get Stephen Fry to narrate it, it's only a shame that Peter Jones is no longer wiht us to do the job, it's soooo HHGTTGThere is now a small but increasing-in-volume voice in my head that says for this year's April Fools Day, I must use this as a basis for a 10-minute-long video guide to COH. *laughing*

Given how much it was panned (here and elsewhere) it's a little surprising, but I'm happy, I really enjoyed the first one!
More Details Here
Hopefully they can iron out the problems of the first one and make a better sequel, other films have done it -
Quote:Never said anything about anyone losing, just that the thread is now Godwin-ed, so that is the end of it as far as I'm concerned.Yeah this, you only "lose" if the reference has absolutely nothing to do with the topic at hand, such as this thread, but that's a corollary added later, not part of Godwin's Law.
Besides, conversations about Hitler are hardly relevant to a discussion and what's going to be the next spacecraft from NASA -
................OMG!!
People, I was asking about rocket ships, space ships, not a political debate about population control and agriculture!
Anyway, I see some links to check out, so thanks for the people who actually stayed on topic, thankfully the thread has been Godwin-ed, so we can go about our lives now
Makes you wonder, on forums that are about World War 2 and Hitler, do they have an Anti-Godwin rule? -
It's not me......honest......I've never been known as NC anything!

Check your PM's, Samuraiko

Hey all
Always been a amateur fan of the space race, trips to orbit, the moon etc, so I know that the Space Shuttles have been decomissioned, and that the Soyuz is the way up there to the ISS now, but I was curious, what's next for NASA?
I'm presuming they are working on something to replace the Shuttle, but I dunno what, so I thought I'd turn to a more knowledgable Oracle, you lot -
Honestly, it's like a magical summoning spell with you, DW, it really is
-
It's worth bearing in mind, this is a UK based thing, so Ianto getting in there isn't too much of a shock, he was MASSIVELY popular over here!
Not sure how the voting was done though, if it was online I can sense a disturbance in the Force, but still a surprise for number one. -
.......Capt. Mal Reynolds??
Now, there's a shocker!! Shows just how much love there still is for Firefly!
SFX Magazine, one of the UK's top sci-fi magazines had 10,000 people vote for their favourites and it was published in a special 1 off magazine, out now, but we get a look at the top 10 here.
Some interesting surprises in there as well, only 2 Star Wars characters in the top 100? That will be Vader and Solo, I would imagine. Buffy did well, with the lady herself at 4 and Spike right behind her in 5th.
Nice to see that UK sci-fi fans are so discerning, I would have put good money on it being The Doctor at number 1!
