What does is [censored] matter if it's one game or two? I hate to point this out, but that is a rhetorical question.
Seriously, I think this thread needs a new direction or it should be locked. Nothing constructive is being posted anymore.
Here is what I would like to see added to CoV in order or importance.
1. Fix the Tech in the RSF and re-balance the SF
2. Villain Epic AT
3. Server Stability and Lag Reduction
4. New Story Arcs (all levels really)
5. New TFs
There. Get to work. -

In your opinion. Hazard Zones on CoV would be a huge waste of code. I play CoV more often then CoH and I would HATE the idea of the Devs spending time creating wastelands like hazard zones rather then adding additional SFs or new storylines or QoL improvements or bug fixes or lag reduction.
Any new CoV content/fixes > New CoV Hazard Zone -
I applaud your efforts and thank you for once again surpassing our (well at least mine) expectations.

Why should it be Co-op?
As a villain your tasks are related to Rogue Isles (mainly) and the content therein. Having it be co-op would allow heroes to run CoV missions which is not what the devs have in mind (at this time). If cross-faction ever exits then this zone might become co-op. Until then it remains as-is. -

You are out of your mind. A ranged attack is perfect for this AT. I finally don't have to chase those damn hitmen and other annoying targets. Have you ever shot a critter with Gloom at 75% Fury? It's Brawl Index (DoT of course) is higher then Haymaker. Hardly ludicrous... -

I agree. My question was poised to those who think the Devs do ignore or hate CoV. Notice how those whom are objective and intelligent pointed out there is no such thing. The players who dictate their opinions as fact chose to ignore the question since they do not have a worthy response. -

I would think he just has fillers join for the start of the SF and have one player (and himself) stayed on SF but the other player logs off, which just leavs Ultimus.
I have done the same for a few TFs. It's purdy easy to setup. -

I found it more impressive when you soloed AVs with your brute, but I thought it was a fire brute of sorts.
Anyways, it could be due to the fact I am just leveling my first MM so I do not know the pitfalls of fighting such challenging content with this AT. I will say that I have soloed a few AVs on my EM/ELA brute but Recluse, Posi and I think it was Numina put a smack down on me good.
Congrats either way and don't worry about the haters...they are usually just jealous of ones accomplishments. That is why we have the /ignore feature. -

I like your idea and the presentation was excellent. I just don't see the need for the position. It seems the Developers do a great job in knowing what "we" want in/out of the ATs (as long as it fits the balanced vision) and I think they do a decent job are telling us their motives to any changes. I am satisfied with the level of information given to players about the specific ATs so I disagree with your suggestion.

To be honest, I think the problem lies in the fact there are a number of sets (across many ATs) that require a Dev's touch, i.e. to be fixed and Ice Melee is one of them.

I was not aware. I just thought the devs worked on issues, etc. months in advanced and had no idea this had been an issue for so long (only a 15 month vet).
I am going to bow out since I have not played an Ice Melee tanker (only /axe and /em) and cannot provide any counter-points. Thanks for answering my questions. -

I have not followed every thread about Ice Melee but what makes everyone think the Devs are not looking at the set?
Sorry if this question has been asked/answered, it just seems the Devs have their hands full with Dual Blades, Willpower, fixing defiance, Halloween event and all of i11 content just to name a few.
Maybe it's on their list? -

Just from the ones i've seen so far:
Sands has psy. Korol has psy. Shadow Spider has psy. Viridian's got psy, i think.. maybe just he's a kin, and that could/would kill recharge speed even more. Barracuda's got psy.
Not to mention all the fortunatas and tarantula mistresses out there.
So i'm wondering, stone's got a choice: granite for tanking, or (spacing off. the shield that protects against psy) for the psy boys.
Doesn't ice have some psy shields in there? i'm wondering if they may be a little better. (granted, buffing and stuff will shoot this theory in the foot)
Also, once IOs get out enough and sets are built, there's some good chance psy won't be the murder axe it is right now.. i looked at the sets last night, and with 6-slotting the right stuff, could get at least 10% resistance to psy on my invul. yea, 10% is not much, but 10% > 0%.

I ran it with my Stone. Granite's fine. Granite's more than fine. I only dropped it to travel places, and died twice - once on a team wipe to Aeon, once when Scirocco held me through Granite+Rooted. Wretch spawned with nothing but Fortunatas, and I didn't really notice much damage - it's just a pack of even-con minions, after all. Individual AVs that aren't Patrons or Aeon didn't take long to drop, psy or no, and so didn't last long enough to kill. And with our Empath jumping by periodically to renew Fort, and nothing else, I was able to keep Recluse and most of the Flier spawns completely occupied while my team killed all four towers.
The rule doesn't seem to be broken here. Unless you're fighting Carnies, Granite is the tauntbot of choice. Won't output as much damage as the other tanks, but it won't die, and sometimes that's just more important.
Ice has no Psy protection. Invuln has no Psy protection. Fire has the added protection of Healing Flames, but still nothing specifically for Psy. The only place a tank gets any Psy defense or resist is Minerals, and the only place a tank gets any +regen to help against things their shields don't block is Rooted. Stone's your best bet.

My /dark brute would actually be liked in the STF if he were a hero, but alas I must plead and beg for a "pity" spot on RSF. -

Also, I think that there will many chances to fight Villains (GW, BS, Scriocco, etc.). In the preview Matt Miller states he does not want to divulge all the info about the TF as to spoil it's surprises.
Another item, I am finally glad I can break some ish on hero side lilke in villain mayhem misions. Woot and double Woot!

The robot is a toxic from the looks of it.
The glowing sword is becuase of build up.

One very odd thing I noticed today was when I in a PuG villain side. Ran a paper mission in Cap against some Freaks. Well some of the Tank bosses truly were freaky in appearance - they had no arms. Kinda alarming. Only affected bosses and we had about one boss like that in every group spawn. Maybe they'll be getting their arms as a Valentine Day gift
