  1. Hmmm, maybe its me but I hardly notice any bugs when I'm too busy enjoying the game. I guess if I only saw problems with something I paid for, I would quit too. Take care and be sure to let me know if "i can haz ur stuf."

So, would you rather have the Lady Gray TF or a revamped Positron?

I'd rather have a revamped Positron.

Old, broken content should be fixed or removed, not left out to fester where everyone can see it, no matter how much shiny new stuff is propped up next to it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

See, I'm the opposite. Since the Posi TF is such a low level and I'm only there a handful of hours I could careless. I can outlevel the TF just by running it.

The LGTF is end game content the masses have been screaming about for as long as I have been on the forums. I would MUCH rather have a new TF where I can use all my powers earned rather then 6-8 powers.

No thanks, new TF...actually NEW SF PLEASE!
  3. Some of those are debatable and subjective. However, I see your point but don't agree that this change in TF requirements in all the game-breaking.

How many times and in how many ways does Lighthouse need to say, "This is the best we could do with the time resources we have right now?"

I appreciate the people who are posting alternatives, but let;'s not make any presumptions about how things are organized and what could have been done with the time they had, please.

Further tweaks may be forthcoming, please feel free to say what direction you want them to take. However, softloading that allows 1 person to set up rewards for 8 is RIGHT OUT. Let's start from there.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    See thats the thing.

Im sick and tired of this method of doing things. They fix a *Problem*, promise to revisit it later on, and meanwhile, everyone suffers for *years*.

Just wait until you have the FULL TIME to devote to this issue before you change things. Softspawning Caps is not hurting anybody.

Quite contrary, its singularly supporting the PoS villain Pool C economy.

    [/ QUOTE ]

To be fair, the devs did roll back a couple of "fixes" rather then putting them live. For example, stacking buffs like CM and Rage come to mind. They could have screwed over us players then but chose to implement a different change and revisit another time.

All for a TF change? Sheesh.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes. All for a TF change. It affects my gameplay. It's that simple, not up for conjecture.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    At least Candlestick was honest.
  6. QR

Seems like an "OK" fix, but I would have preferred a "BETTER" fix.
  7. [ QUOTE ]

I've never failed a TF to date, and they were all PuG's, probably 200+ PuG TF's. Now I have failed getting the MoSTF badge quite a few times, but still beat the TF and got the recipe.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That made me think about my experience with TFs/SFs and to be honest the only two I have failed are RSF and STF and always at the last mission.

    A caution!

    Wow.

  9. Seems like you forgot this is only a game my friend. The change is not game-breaking, so take a deep breathe and re-evaluate why you are so upset.
  10. Nice post. I'm glad you and your daughter have a common bond and enjoy your recreation time.

Last week I had a parent send me a tell asking if his daughter could join our team. It was a PB but a different name then what you stated above and she was 5. I was tanking and she was in Nova form and just had me on follow. She did a good job and died a couple times when things got intense. My lowbie tank couldn't do much aggro management at that time. Long story short, she learned and the parent thanked me for being a "decent person."

Anyways, I play on Freedom and Flame is welcome anytime on my teams.
  11. QR about Pool C Rewards

    1. No more SOs, only recipes.
    2. Upon completion 6 recipes are randomly selected for the reward dialog box
    3. Pick the one you want

Do you seriously not see how a farmer could start a TF set at a minimum of 8 members, and then run the mission ad nauseum as a farm? The "fillers" don't even need to be there. All the farmer needs is one other (an alt account) to stay in the TF.

How does that not benefit farmers?

    [/ QUOTE ]

As I've stated numerous times in this thread...

Farmers spawn maps set for sizes of 6 to avoid bosses. This change would force them to fight bosses. Thats added danger plus it slows them down. This cuts into the influence / hour ratio & thus will be avoided.

Besides at lvl 50 your choices for TFs are Shard or STF. The Shard puts you against Nem, CoT & Rularu.... 3 villian groups that a farmer would want to stay far away from. Or you could try the STF which puts you against Arachnos, which isnt any better.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    And as I have said...

Ice Mistral TF on my Brute...I have no troubles farming that entire CoT map over and over again set for a team of 4...solo...
  13. The team requirements to some TFs/SFs should be decreased to an acceptable level.

That is the only change I see happening or something the devs would even consider to change at this point.

the "official" comments so far have been nothing but an attempt to "pull wool over our eyes"

    [/ QUOTE ]

Why do you think anyone would pull wool over your eyes? What do you think they're trying to cover up?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I didn't say that Lady, you quoted someone else.

Here, I'll make it easier for you:

    [ QUOTE ]
Not a conspiracy but a legitmate reason the rednames didn't comment:

The knew this fixed an exploit (softloading) and they knew many many players would become upset. They chose to let the players find the changes once live. They knew there would be a big ado so they stayed quiet as to not add fuel to the fire. Once they felt the fire are subsided some, they posted their official response.

    No conspiracies just common sense.

Seriously....this is a MAJOR ball drop here, and the "official" comments so far have been nothing but an attempt to "pull wool over our eyes".

    [/ QUOTE ]

So what sinister truth do you think They are trying to keep from you?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Please re-read my post. I clearly outlined why I think things happened the way they did.

I believe it was one of my posts you snipped the first line from and disregarded the rest.
  16. [ QUOTE ]
I think you guys are being way too literal in your interpretation of the word 'lost' here.

    That's why I quoted "find."

Why did it take them two days to "find" the patch notes or to comment?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Office chaos. LH clearly wasn't in the loop, as his now-deleted comments about it being a bug reveal.

Now, is anyone actually going to answer my question? If you're going to make conspiracy theories, then the person(s) doing the conspiring have to have something to gain by it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I don't believe in consipracy theories and I don't know what there is to gain. If you were to re-read my post you would understand this.

I just can't see how it's possible to take TWO DAYS to find patch notes when the players have already figured out the changes. It's not like the patch notes are hidden in a secret catacomb that the devs must face in order to obtain the correct list.

Not a conspiracy but a legitmate reason the rednames didn't comment:

  18. QR to NcSoft

All this change does is allow my brute to finally have an Arcane Farm mission set to a good spawn size with unlimited resets.

The changes don't affect me a whole lot since our SG has reliable folk who don't bail on TFs/SFs.

I am only miffed at the poor communication from NcSoft and its staff. They knew the players figured out the (or at least some) changes on the 12th after the patch was live but the developers/community reps failed to "find" any patch notes nor comment for two days (exluding LH's deleted comment).

I don't much care for conspiracies and such, I just like honesty and accountability from the providers of a service I pay to enjoy.

I just have one simple question...Why did it take two days to find the patch notes and to comment on this situation?

Please answer my question. I have no animosity to the Devs or Community reps, just a question.
  19. I'm on the fence about the misplaced patch notes since there were threads about this change in 3-4 forums after the patch went live.

What took them 2 days to find the notes?
  20. [ QUOTE ]
    [ QUOTE ]
Agreed. I don't buy the "we forgot" nonsense for a second.

    [/ QUOTE ]

So what possible benefit could the Devs have had from suppressing it on purpose, seeing as it was obviously going to come out anyway?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Why did it take them two days to "find" the patch notes or to comment?

    [ QUOTE ]

The reason it's bad in the limit is that they become the ones least affected by this change. The logic goes: slower/longer TF for more folks = higher prices for desirable pool C drops = more RMT business since they can still make large amounts of inf.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Huh?

Ppl are saying that RMTers are going to exploit this TF change...

    [/ QUOTE ]

I didn't. When I said 'boon to farmers' I didn't say anything about RMT. If you want to create the straw man argument that everyone in this thread that is talking about farming problems caused by minimum loads is solely focused on RMT, then I guess you just might win against that false premise. Score one for you!

    [/ QUOTE ]

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
    HAHAHAHAHHAAHA

Where did I say "everyone in this thread" is saying that. I said "Ppl" as in "People" not Everyone. But look closely, because there clearly are ppl in this thread who are & were saying that RMTers are going to exploit this change.

    Nice try though

Oh, and once more... No, simply No. RMT Farmers are Not going to be exploiting this change.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    You are being obtuse.

My SS/WP brute will easily take out a 4 man spawn of CoT with your scary Death Mage.

You think RMT Farmers or farmers in general only have fire/kins?

Obviously, you have no idea what you are talking about.

The only issue I had with this weekend was the constant dropping of Global Chats.

The Server Capping out wasn't an issue. I would just exit back to login and repat until I could access Freedom. It never took longer then 5 minutes and that was the maximum. I played at peak hours and days during this event as well.

Nice to see there this game is on the up and up. FRom a business perspective...this could earn the CoH Series even more resources since the game is thriving!

What does is [censored] matter if it's one game or two? I hate to point this out, but that is a rhetorical question.

Seriously, I think this thread needs a new direction or it should be locked. Nothing constructive is being posted anymore.

Here is what I would like to see added to CoV in order or importance.

    1. Fix the Tech in the RSF and re-balance the SF
    2. Villain Epic AT
    3. Server Stability and Lag Reduction
    4. New Story Arcs (all levels really)
    5. New TFs

    There. Get to work.
