Fire/WP is going to be the toughest of the 3 choices. Fire/Shield is going to provide the most damage and with the right IOs will still be very sturdy.
SS/DA is an endurance hog and will probably leave you disappointed again. -
I don't buy it. You could have made your point and corrected the poster's misinformation about the perception issue without resorting to the line I quoted from your post. Even though I agree with you, I just don't feel it was neccessary or anyway constructive.
By the way, I mean no disrespect in my comments. -
Thanks for the advice all.
I'm on Freedom server and I'll get a coalition going with the main VG, Doom Syndicate. My personal VG, which is only for storage, is an off-shoot; Doom Syndicate - Clouded Division.
I'll stop back in if I run into any problems or have any more questions. -
Quote:Yes, I'm almost certain the Stealth IO suppresses when you attack or are attacked, and it takes 10s of not attacking/being attacked before it re-activates.Has anyone got their hands on a Stealth IO? If I slot it in something like Sprint, does it suppress when you attack?
So far, I'm liking my lvl 28 claws/EA because he can start off the fight with 1/3-1/2 a fury bar because he'll claw at an enemy while his friends stare at the walls. Once the 1st target dies is when the fight really starts and everyone finally notices their friend in pieces. I'm curious if more stealth will let me keep fighting 1 target at a time until I get over 1/2 fury.
Even if it doesn't I'm still getting one eventually so I can have perfect PvE invis.
I haven't tested this in a long time but I'm pretty sure someone will correctly me if I'm incorrect. -
Quote:Good thinking!Yayyy. I may or may not quit depending on if you can fix this within 2 weeks. Don't pull another CoP
I bet right before this post the devs were contemplating fixing this issue in a month, but after knowing you'll quit in 2 weeks they have upped the resources and it will be done in 13 days, 23 hours and 59 minutes.

Quote:Here is a prime example of the Devs being damned if they do and damned if they don't.Ugh. Don't get me started on that. Powerset proliferation has been the hidden genericization of CoX.
Someone will always find the negative when there the intention of the change is meant to be positive.
Devs: You want rad/ blasters, /cold controllers, archery/ corrs, claws/ brutes? Here ya go!
Player: OMG, you're genericizing the powersets! And it's hidden!
Devs: lolwut? -
There is a incentive to use higher difficulties; you get more inf and exp.

From my stand point, he's not defending the content per se but defending the ideal "new players" don't know the content is boring since they have never experienced it before nor have they experience any other content in CoH to compare it to.
I tend to agree with him but I also agree the content in the low levels is 1. boring and 2. annoying for low level characters (specifically the fedex missions). -
Cool, thanks for the advice. I'll start there and see how that works out.

Blah, I was looking to get a respec recipe for my brute but the $70 mil - $150 mil is not what I'm willing to pay (yes, I have lower bids in place). I'll have to man up and run the respec trial now.

I don't mind the costs, plus I got to start somewhere. I plan to begin with storage and grow into telepads. I already have close to 1 million prestige.

HI base builders,
I'm a vet to this game but a newbie to building bases. I've been apart of a SG that has an amazing base achitect that I never really saw the urge to try my hand at base building. Recently, I've gotten more into storing IOs with the addition of my second account and I've founded an offshoot VG for some of my villains.
I want to create a base whose sole purpose is storing enhancements/salvage, crafting and having teleporters to each zone.
My problem?
I have no idea where to begin. So, I'm looking for advice on plot size, amount of energy and control I'll need to support this base. I have no idea what energy and control mean...but I was told to ask about those specifically.
Thanks for the time! -
Soooo, I was reading the boards this morning before the mystical powers of my coffee took effect and I had to do a double take at the thread title. At first I thought it said CoX and not CoH. That would have turned this thread into something differently entirely!

I use to get nagged but I realized all she wanted was me to be near her. So I sit on the couch, with my laptop, while she watches "Yes to the Dress" <shudder> next to me.

I've tried to get my lady involved but she's not real big into comics or video games for that matter.
She has expressed interest in the new Star Wars MMO which could be fun. -

Quote:Our discussion is about MA farming vs. sewer farming, or unintended vs. intended. The behaviors are identical.
Farming is farming.
That's MY point.
There's no bias involved, it is a statement of concrete fact.
You can shout "farming is farming" until your hoarse but it doesn't make it a fact. There are differences. -
Quote:The -1 difficulty setting allows players more freedom. Builds that can be a chore to solo can now solo more effectively. Players also can get a more super powered type feel since enemies drop more quickly and being -1...you can fight more of them.Seriously, if you can't handle your missions on +0 with no bosses... I don't know what to tell you.
I like the -1 diff setting and use it on all my new characters (levels 1-22 mostly), but I do bump the # of critters to x2-4 depending on the AT. -
You may get a purple drop from enemies 47-50, but the recipe will always be 50 for purples.

Perhaps it was someone's second account.
