The meleers would be statues almost immediately if they didn't have mez protection. Then you are going to have a whole team's worth of angry critters to deal with rather than just 1 or 2 that got loose.
  2. Try this...

Buy some large Orange and Purple insiprations from the market. Once he gets close to 25% health, pop one of each (or more if you like).
  3. Oh, my global is @Clouded by the way.

Many Defenders/Corruptors live in melee, anyways. It's also worth noting that I'd love a Melee/Debuff AT.
I have a Dark/Sonic Def, Cold/Ice Def, Ice/Rad Contr, Fire/Fire Blaster and Earth/Fire Dom that all live in melee. Guess what? I lay down my debuffs first and/or let the melee ATs get the aggro before I let loose.

    I believe that's called WAI.

Why can't they just use breakfrees or get it from their teammates? Sheesh, it's not hard. Maybe they should try adapting their playstyle and learning that life is tough and they won't get what they want. Perhaps they could just go for the mezzer first, that fixes everything. Maybe I'm just repeating what's already been said.
You're not repeating but being rather obtuse. If my Brute had access Radiation Emission powerset, etc then I probably wouldn't see a need for Mezz protection. But since I have to run into melee in order to utilize my Primary fully, this subjects me to all manners of mezz attacks even as I close in to the critters.

In other words, every AT that doesn't have mezz protection has the ability to avoid being mezzed.
  6. I guess I don't understand how you didn't have time to bubble people. I play a Cold/ defender and keeping Ice Shields on my teammates is not very difficult even on a Speed ITF run where chaos is abundant and teammates run every which-way.

Either way, it's best to play the build which you find most effective and fun.
  7. It's been ages since I have run a CoV Respec Trial (<3 vet respecs) but I need to get another respec on my Fire/SR brute (got a new build in mind).

I was thinking about running this tomorrow night (10/8) around 9 PM, EST at the 45+ level.

Anyone out there that wants to join in? I could really use someone who has experience with this trial.

You're not being honest here and are actually proving the above poster correct.

I posted a host of information from each AT that doesn't have mezz protection and how they can CURRENTLY deal with mezz.

Each AT has a method to deal with mezz OUTSIDE of inspirations. You've been told this and shown this but you continue to ignore the responses. There have also been many responses (including one from me) that detail why Melee ATs should have mezz built into their shields. Yet you've ignored or "refuted" these responses. I quoted refuted since your definition of refute is "to ignore or deflect or avoid."

Lastly, this really isn't as important as you claim Futurias. I mean, even my wife thinks you're being melodramatic and that's saying something.

    ?/Invul

How many critters are in Invinc with the 35% and 44% defense numbers? I tend to use between 3-5 critters for building purposes.

Def for the exotics is more important that S/L (IMO) since you'll have 70% S/L resistance to nearly neuter most attacks that do get through, along with having 3000 HP. Your resistance to the exotics (e/n/f/c) will be around 23% if I were to guess.

For IOs, slot for recharge in order to make Dull Pain permanent and possibly Hasten.

Why perma Dull Pain? Dull Pain can increase your HP by ~60+%. Just using base HP of 1499, that means you gain about 800 HP. Plus, you get a "heal" that gives you ~80% of your health back every 100-120 secs. Not bad.

With IO bonuses, you can have just over 1700 HP, but with DP you'll have nearly 2700. And with DP + Accolades...nearly 3000 HP. o.0

    DA question

No, you should take BOTH Murky Cloud and Tough for DA if you wish to up your survivability.
  13. Here comes Kali to CO's defense!

  14. Somehow, someway brutes are perfectly ok with this slight balance issue...nothing to see here Castle.

Adding a third level 45 IO increases to %98.23 modification after ED, which is 0.41 EPS. The difference in three and two IOs then is 0.41-0.333 EPS, for a net of 0.076 EPS.

This proc is a 20% chance for 10 endurance every 10 seconds. On average, that's 2 endurance every 10 seconds, or 0.2 average EPS.

So making the third IO into the proc gives more benefit on average while retaining 1.799/1.9823 = 91% of the non-random benefit.

I always slot two endmod IOs and the proc in the third slot. As a side bonus, if I use one of the endmod IOs from the Performance Shifter set, I get a run speed bonus.
I've noticed on a lot of my builds I've been four slotting Stamina with the Performance Shifter Set (end mod, end/*, end/* and the proc) because of the nice set bonuses.
  16. I heard in GR, we'll be able to make ponies but you'll have to have a 84 month vet badge, have 3 children, a doctorate in geology and a collection of the original G.I Joe action figures.

    Thank you...

I received an Apocalypse Damage IO and a respec recipe last night, both from the same mob. I was pretty stoked.

EDIT: I just ran my brute through one of TV maps and received 20 recipes (8 set) and didn't even make it 75% through the map. I'm set at x8 difficult with bosses. I likey.

Not that far south or east. Think south of Tampa.

I use to be a lifeguard at Siesta Beach and the bikini clad women were a plenty. Those were the days.

    brb, going to the beach...

Clouded: With a stick. While she slept. But in a mission, solo against your defender? That wench is unbeatable.

    Thank you...

...all of you, devs and players, for helping fix the drop rates.

On tuesday, I ran 3 missions on my Brute and received 3 recipes total (level 18 at the time). Yesterday I went into a mission with 3 recipes and was full by the time I completed the mission (8 recipes, large map, -1/x4, diff). The next mission I received 5 more! I can't wait to take my 50 brute through the possessed scientist and TV mission(s).

So, thanks again to those you put in the hardwork to figure out the bugged drop rates. If you are ever in Southwest FL, then drinks are on me!

    Cheers!

I hear ya. I noticed the damage reduction as well. One thing I will point out is that you are fighting a Freak Tank which is HIGHLY resistant to lethal damage.

Anyone remember my main complaint about claws? Yep, the damage type being highly resisted.

A Claws/ Brute is still very fun since Spin wasn't affected all that much. I still plan to take my Claws/Inv brute to 50 and make him a 3000 HP monster. Iron Puma is going to be a beast!

Oh, and that's a terrible way to introduce yourself to the boards bro...being your first post and all.

It's not always about "being a game." Sometimes its about "being a service/product I pay for and want to get the most out of my money."

  23. Since I can remember, the destructibles in the AP and KR mission are bugged and will spawn at max level. However, Skyways and on Mayhem's destructibles seem to spawn correctly.
