  1. Rest well Mr. Jobs. You will be remembered.
  2. Per the Ustream:

    "Spinning Strike
It's smaller than the Whirling xxxx type powers on purpose to give it more damage. It's also a Targetted AoE rather than a PBAoE."

Ok, that is a plausible explanation. Thank you Mr. Klaw.

    Hey Derp,

Did you know that there are other AoE powers in Armor Sets and Patrons?

Neither of us are going to get our money back. There are ways to obtain more AoE outside of the Primary for Brutes. Mu Mastery is the defacto MOAR AOE Patron. Most brutes who want more AoE go this route and have for many years. You can also pair SJ with a secondary that has a damage aura and/or a power like Burn to make-up for the lack of AoE damage.

These options exist for a reason.

UNless you want to have someone powerlevel you or you will team all the time and leech off other people's aoe, you are going to have a very very long trip to 50 once you hit the 30's when you start needing a thousand or so mobs for each level.
The best AoE toons, for Brutes, use more than just Footstomp. In other words, pick up a patron that offers the best AoE for more AoE. That's why those options exist.

Now that we are buying sets a la carte, people will choose to buy or not buy sets based on the qualities of those sets. To ensure that the most customers possible are happy with what they buy, it does fall upon the devs to provide as complete and accurate information about the product as possible before purchase.

There are many ways that this could be done in the future, as new tech is implemented: allow a character to be built all the way to the registration step with an unpurchased set before requiring purchase to continue, allow characters with unpurchased sets to be created on a test server with the accurate live numbers, or whatever other solution meets the needs of the customers and developers.

However, there is one thing the developers can do right now, with only the tech that is live at this moment: when a new powerset is released, post a list of all the correct in-game names of all the powers for every AT that gets it, so that we can pull up the existing in-game information sheets on those powers. It's not an ideal solution, but it can be done immediately, and I think it should.
Can I have my money back for GR since I found Praetoria to be a waste of my money?

I didn't get to try it out before I bought it. I was not subscribed at the time of Beta and came back after if was live.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say you have yet to give the powerset a fair run through, and are only complaining because you assumed the set was going to be the next Super Strength in terms of potential.

I wish you luck on getting your refund. Just be calm, level-headed and avoid using hyperbole when talking with customer service.

You have yet to provide a reason as to why they should be increased.

Whirling hands is in EM, which has for a while been considered a weak set.

Elec however is strong so lets look at that. lets get up mids here.

Jacobs ladder about the same stats as sweep, okie, but Elec also has thunderstrikes, chain induction and lightning rod which has a whopping 20' radius.
    Footstomp - 15 ft radius, 10 targets
    Whirling Mace - 8ft, 10 targets
    Tremor - 15ft, 10 targets
    Burst - 8 ft, 10 targets
    FSC - 10 ft, 10 targets
    Whirling Hands - 8ft, 10 targets
Thunderstrike - 7ft, 10 targets from targeted critter
    Spin - 8ft, 10 targets
    Whirling Axe - 8ft, 10 targets

You seem to just want a footstomp clone. Not. Going. To. Happen.
  11. I'd also like to make note the other AoE power is a Cone and its range and arc are right in line with other powers.

    Jacob's Ladder - 7ft, 50 degrees
    Shadow Maul - 7ft, 45 Degrees
    Shatter - 8ft, 45 degrees

its the low target caps and miniscule aoe thats the problem especially for a set with only 2 aoe.
The target caps are in line with most AoE powers. Whirling hands, Thunderstrike, Fire Sword Circle, etc etc etc are 10 targets.

And Footstomp has a target cap of 10 also...

Footstomp has a 15 foot radius and a 16 target cap, it does more with 1 power than Stj does with 2.

Also the heavy hitter, have almost exactly the same stats except KO does a bit more damage.

ITs a weak set, it was changed after it came off beta but before live, so its not the same set I beta tested.
I'm sorry, did I miss your DPA and DPS calculations? You keep using subjective terms as definitive statements (insanely, weak, miniscule, etc). If you want to be convincing then I propose you provide factual data that shows the discrepencies in a more objective light.

Lastly, you shouldn't compare any new AoE power to Footstomp. Instead, you should avoid using Footstomp in any comparison. It's an out-lier.
  16. Please provide your hard numbers that support your statement of SJ being the weakest set in terms of ST and AOE damage.

Otherwise people might misconstue your posts as being childish.
  17. In Freedom, most trials are forming in Pocket D. I rarely see them in global channels.

YES! That was the other thing I forgot this morning. When the episode was done my wife looked over at me and said, "Um, why didnt they just place the bomb on the wrong in that one spot where she made the new barrier?"

    I didn't really have a good explanation.

Really? There weren't two opening credits/closing credits and it was time slotted as one long episode. I guess they must have decided to run them together.
  20. I really enjoyed the first half of the episode (up until finding Jinx). The music and such leading up to finding Jinx was very well done, and so was the acting After that, it almost seemed like a different writer took hold of the show. Parts seemed rushed and otherwise boring.

My main gripe about this show is that stupid body control horse whippy thingy. Ugh. It was so over used that it made me angry. Ok, not angry, but I openly said 'ugh' outloud quite often).

It will be interesting to see how Artie proceeds with the watch and what Claudia plans to do.

What does everyone think of Claudia's destiny? It's been hinted at a few times in the past, including this episode.
  21. That was a fun few minutes. Thank you for posting those.
  22. I click 'Claim All.' Confirm a few power selections (blackwand, Sands of Mu, etc) and done.

    Where's the issue?

    It's not a teleport, it's a leap attack.
  24. You want to Debuff?

Dark/Sonic Defender. Go Villain to get the Def Shield from Mace PP and get your self 45% S/L/E and Ranged defense, and be the sexeh. Doooo eeeeeeeet.
