Cause being a brute isn't always about being selffish. Sometimes taunting that mob off the dom or corr is better for the team than you having 90% Fury rather then 75%.

I'm starting to think the devs made DP mediocre on purpose just so the forums would have something to kvetch about until I17, GR or demon summoning was released. And once I17/GR/DS is released, they'll buff DP somehow in the same patch.

Random thought:

DM is like bacon...adding DM to any secondary makes it better.

Freedom is my home server and I did not noticed anything our of the ordinary in terms of disconnects. There were a few moments of pretty large lag spikes but that's too random to pin down on any one occurence (could have been my computer auot-updating something).

I wasn't able to play much this weekend and when i did play I had to use my left hand for controls due to an injury. In other words, I made better progress on my debt badges than my experience bars on most characters.

However, yesterday I was able to gain a level or so on my Fire/Dark corruptor by teaming with some great SG mates.

I was kicked from an ITF for using Rain of Fire after being told not too. I'm not a big fan of being told to "not do X" and it tends to make me do it more and to greater effect.

The tank inherent, not INHERIT (lol @ you), Gauntlet is fine for the purpose of a tank...to absorb, control and maintain aggro.

DXP + I17 in one weekend brings interest to the game once.

DXP one weekend, then Issue 17 down the road equals interest to the game twice.

I've taken down Silver Mantis and Baphomet with my SS/WP Brute but I do have Gloom which does offer a little exotic damage. Plus, Sands of Mu is nice during my Rage Crash(s).

Can't remember if I had Gloom when I fought those two or not to be honest.

Silverado's advice is good, lots of red will help immensely since the damage cap is 850% for Brutes.

All primaries have the ability to solo AVs (last I checked). The trick is getting enough survivability, endurance and recharge to complete the task.

I have two responses for this OP.

1. This reminds me that Spring Break starts this week for a lot of schools and colleges.

Then what do you want? I was in beta, closed and open, and I read thread after thread adn post after post that QQed about DP and it's lack of damage. The numbers show this set lies near the middle of the pack for blasts set.

If you buff this set, then you have to buff all sets below it. Then you have to re-buff this set because it's no longer better but in the middle again.
