Quote:Feedback is often referred to as complaints by people of the opposing viewpoint at an attempt to belittle their argument.Feedback is one thing, but complaining about something that is known to be a temporary situation isn't exactly useful.
And we do not know when the 2 new trials will be available for Live servers. It could be 2 months or 8. People have the right to voice their opinions on the new content. -
Quote:AFAIK, the trials scale with based on the number of participants.
So what happened to that? Honest question here. What happened to content scaling with team size? Did we conclude that it wasn't working or that it was pointless or something? Because I've heard that same explanation practically since Incarnates began: "If you don't balance it for many people, then many people will trivialise it."
Is that what you mean? -

The only beef I have with I20 is the incarnate progression being tied to these trials. The shard -> conversion is awful and not a reasonable substitute.
I will have no trouble getting what I want from the incarnate system but I'm not so mypoic that I cannot spot a flaw in a system that is otherwise fantastic.
I will freely admit that I enjoy the trials so far. I've only been on 3 and have yet to make any meaningful progress due to being kicked all 3 times but at least it's really cool. I LOVE the wide open feel of the instances.
I've come to realize that my main/namesake character and one other will probably be the only characters out of 30 that will make any progress in the Incarnate system pass Alpha. I just don't have the free time to devote to this game.
Keep up the good work Devs but you should give the players more options (a la Alpha) in terms of obtianing incarnate slots/components. -

Quote:It's not unheard of for devs to change their mind. Perhaps their datamining showed reasonable evidence to support a raid or grind style end game. So far, they were right. It indeed is a double standard.
Farming, and speed runs were looked down upon, but now this design is embraced.
lol?
Now if they could just get the bugs worked out so I stopped getting booted from raids... -
It would be nice to run a trial without being booted mid run. I've tried a few times now and haven't made it to Maruader once. It's quite disappointing.
The good news is I've been 30% progress towards Interface, right? Yay? -
You obviously cannot read very well since there are a fair share of 'butthurt' people discussing the content. Perhaps you should revisit the thread when you are not so mean spirited.

I like a challenge, sure. That's why I work two jobs and try to juggle a social life and a wife (luckily she's light).
In a game, the challenge needs to be much less and much less aggrivating or I simply do seomthing else. -
Quote:To be fair, success is being measured differently by different people in this thread.Failure: It's the new success!
Note: You have a strange definition of success.
Success to me is making progress towards the slots since I know completing these Trials right now is going to be few and far between.
Others are demanding that success be equal to completing the trials.
I don't consider either definition to be greater than the other. -

Quote:I think it's more..."I died more times in this TF than I have the entire life of my character up until now, and since I find faceplanting that many times in 45 minutes to be extremely irritating, then I refuse to subject myself to that same content again."Well that really shows a stellar attitude, right here. "I failed once, I'm never trying that again. I don't care to analyze why I failed or try new tactics. I'm going to blame the design and be done with it."
Of course, I'm not Venture but that seems to be a more accurate translation. -
Quote:No, I don't believe that is what he is stating at all.So ... assume the BAF is just as fun as the ITF. You are saying that because the BAF has accumulating rewards that net you a big new juicy power its a grind. But because the ITF didnt have a nifty power after you ran it 10 times its not a grind?
ITF rewards merits which can be earned from nearly all content. He ran the ITF because it was fun and it also rewarded merits.
Lambada/BAF are the only way to earn Threads, etc for these new slots. He is REQUIRED to run these trials, even if they are not fun, in order to obtain the slots, etc in any reasonable amount of time/inf sink. -
Quote:There were two task forces released in this issue. No, not 1.5, but 2. They are not incarnate content. You were the one that claimed half the dev team was working on the incarnate content while the other half was working on the rest of the game. Based on what we know now, the entire dev team was working on incarnate content.
The "rest of the game" has been put on hold for Issue 20, probably Issue 21, and who knows how many more issues.
Basically you were wrong, and are not willing to admit it as well.
So, where was he wrong? -

Quote:I'm going to agree and disagree. I agree people might be overreacting about the difficulty in most instances. I disagree it will be a couple of months...more like a few weeks, and then people will be rolling through these without much issue.I fully expect the doomcrying to calm quite a bit in a few weeks as people work out tactics for these encounters and get geared up.
Right now the trials are being run mostly by folks with only Alpha slots unlocked. But a couple of months from now, I'd expect teams to include a healthy dose of players that have other slots unlocked and equipped, which will make the whole encounter much smoother for everyone. -
This is flamebait and not welcomed. If this is what you've resort to, then it would be appropriate to you leave the thread rather than baiting a flamewar Dechs.

Quote:I understand. Follow-up question...If you go the core route on any tree (and the radial on a couple like Rebirth) the effect is permanent. The base duration for all powers (other than Rebirth which starts with no lasting effect) is 60s, with a 120s recharge. At the highest levels, the duration is 120s. The effect is essentially "permanent."
There however is a minor downtime, which may effect especially the mez protection. Since there's also a cast time in there, that means there's a short 1-2s window where the power drops and you're casting the new one. If you happen to be mezzed when it drops, you won't be able to recast it.
Does the +recharge from my Spiritual Core Paragon affect the recharge of Destiny abilities? -
Perhaps you should avoid telling others how to and when to voice their opinions.
-
Question on Destiny abilties...are the buffs perma for each ability or is there some downtime before you can reactivate them?
I'm specifically looking at Clarion in Destiny for the mezz protection. -
Quote:qfei want to pitch in with the folks who both don't like the new team window and are annoyed that the "classic" is actually different from the original.
Quite honestly, the new team interface is possibly the ugliest interface i've seen in this game, and there have been some doozies.
I find it annoying that the alternative isn't actually the original, or at least isn't closer to the original design. I am not going to lose sleep over that complaint, i just consider it irritating. I would be spitting angry if i was stuck with the "new" interface, though. -
What are some of the times for raids? Both successes and failures.
