Quote:I can haz RAM? I'm running 2 GB on my laptop with intergrated video. It's so awesome! My box is a piddly i7-860 with 16 gigs of Ram and an ATI 5800, and I octoboxed eight logins to get the Swiss Draw badge. Seriously, what does disabling antivirus do on that behemoth, reduce the temperature in the room by a milli-kelvin?

Quote:Way to side-step his actual comment.Actually, the saddest part is that you and a few other people can't seem to get past something that 99% of the player base loves, and that whenever the devs post, "Hey, here's some cool new stuff!" and everyone else is getting excited, you can't help but wallow in the misery of some misperceived slight, as if they are trying to very deliberately and personally screw you over.

I just want to add that its good to have Billz back.

Glad to see some info, that means it can't be too far away now.

SPOILERS
I was sad when the pilot was killed in Serenity. I even paused the bluray and looked at my wife in disbelief. My response was, "WHAT! THE! F!"*
* I did just say the letter 'f' because I'm trying to curb my ******* cursing. -
Dang, I guess I should go ahead and delete my tanks since I'll never be invited to the high-end, uber, duper, super speed teams.

Quote:You come into the Tanker Forum and trash the AT and then refuse to provide any proof of your claims.Oh because I'd of course love to take the trouble of recording a raw video on a mac when an argument doesn't show any merit in terms of just pure logic, right?
Put up or shut up. I don't care about your speed run times since you could be the weakest link and the 7 other players are just carrying your dead weight. -
Figures you would try to squirm out of the argument when someone put up a challenge for you.

I just want to know why Uncommon drops more than Common. Is that WAI or a bug? Cause that seems counter-intuitive.

Quote:Learn to build better? I don't know what else to say. My level 42 INV/DM Tank tanked Rom on a level 52 ITF. Of course, the tank is built for tanking (heavy IOs) and not for faceplanting. That's the exact story we're talking about. I've been killed by Marauder through my T9 unstoppable several times when I'm on a team that allows the mobs to pile up on top of him before finishing the acid grenade cycle, or when doing a master run.
Quote:Again, the psy hole will ruin your day since there is zero mitigation to that damage type other than HP and regen. (Which is what my invul is built for.) Again, making unstoppable next to useless.
Dull Pain is your psy hole cover and coupled with intelligence it goes a long way in avoiding unnecessary faceplants. The intelligence part refers to knowing who you are fighting and when to use Dull Pain for max benefit.
Unstoppable is not alone here, by the way. Inventions and now Incarnate abilities are making many powers near redundant for many ATs and powersets. Unstoppable is still a fine Tier 9 when someone doesn't have the time, inf, and/or effort to pump out a billion+ dollar build.
I find the crash acceptable for the benefits the power provides. In fact, and this might sound weird, but I find crashing in the middle of a battle a challenge of sorts. Then I realize it's ridiculously easy to avoid the crash without even losing aggro on what I'm fighting. -

I don't think I have it in me to redo another build (was late coming back to the game after the Fitness change) so adding more recharge is not going to be an option.
I do like your idea about the +recharge procs in the attacks and damage procs. Am I correct in remembering the only damage procs for ranged blasts llie within the purple and PvP sets? I don't seem to remember any in regular set IOs for energy blast.
I should have mentioned that I've currently squeezed out 16% damage buff from sets without intentionally building towards damage (this IO build is pretty old and was built well before I19). Plus, I picked up Assault to give me a bit more umph.
Now to dive into Mid's to see about revising the build a little without too much cost. All my inf is currently tied up in my new tanker. -
I'm now beginning to take my Blaster through the Incarnate powers (including alpha) and I wanted to elicit some advice in regards to obtaining 'moar damage.'
I really like this blaster but I sometimes feel his damage output is sorely lacking and I'm trying to make an effort to increase his damage output with slotting, set bonuses and incarnate powers.
Currently, I'm tossing around the idea of using Musculature for Alpha since I'm not sure I need more recharge or end reduction. I can already string together a nice attack chain of my 3 ST attacks while throwing in a AIM or BU when recharged. But would the +recharge incarnate power be a boon due to giving BU/AIM quicker recharge or is adding some +damage for all my attacks a better option?
This moves me on to Interface. I'm guessing if I want 'moar damage' then I need to look at Reactive but which reactive? Is the DoT aspect the best or a combo of DoT and -resistance?
I can post my current build if that helps out. Thanks in advance! -
Not really superheroes, but John McClain from Die Hard and Jack Burton from Big Trouble in Little China always struck me as Willpower type characters.

Ok, perhaps someone can enlighten me to what has been happening on my INV/DM Tank. He's currently level 40 and I've had Unstoppable since 32. I've used it occasionally when things looked bleaked and have not once died due to it's crash. I've died due to not using the power or not using it soon enough, but never the crash.
Anyways, I've noticed the last few times the crash has occured I am left with endurance. Enough endurance to keep toggles running and active Dull Pain. This wasn't a one time occurence, but every time (3 in a row now) I've used the power.
I do not have any accolades but I have Numina/Miracle Uniques and a few recovery bonsues.
If the crash is 100% endurance, then why I am left with end to run toggles and activate Dull Pain? I can't be the only one experiencing this. -
I don't have an official answer or anything, but I was under the impression yesterday's downtime was due to the merger of EU and NA servers. I'm not sure if there were any additions et al to the game.
Well, that excludes the obvious accuracy nerf that comes with every patch. -
Quote:What large team content is difficult enough at base level to require Incarnate Abilities? What solo or small-team-based content in this game is difficult enough at base level to require Incarnate Abilities? Or, indeed, even make Incarnate Abilities desirable?
Desirable? Um, the powers are frickin awesome. My Scrapper has another badass AoE, -tohit in his fire attacks and a pet to help him out. Solo or team, I WANT the goodies.
Quote:I ask because I don't really follow:
If a player is enjoying playing the high-level solo content, why worry about the rate at which Incarnate Abilities are unlocked?
Quote:If a player finds high-end solo contant trivial to replay in gaining Incarnate Abilities, why believe it will become less trivial with these abilities?
In other words, if you're enjoyably handling all of the content you are interested in playing with your current powerset, why try to change that by seeking different abilities?
I truly do not understand this. -
I work two jobs so chances are I will miss this event if it's a certain time of the day, especially in the evening on a weekday.
I'll reserve my whining until I know for sure. -
Quote:This is hyperbole. Most people are objecting to the current implementation of the 'other' path for Incarnate levels (shards and their conversion).Honestly, you accuse people of saying that a lot more than it's actually said. I'm not saying no one has said that. But it's extremely rare. Most people are objecting to the contention that the whole game has changed when it hasn't.
Quote:I personally object to the idea that you can't make any meaningful progress outside of the trials. Yes, it's slower, but it's only when you get to the rare and ultra-rares that it gets silly. Considering that people are stomping the non-Incarnate content with even commons, I don't see why people feel getting to the very rares is a reasonable expectation.
I still find it laughable that you think the current converstion method for shards to threads can be used to make 'meaningful progress.' Progress? Yes. Meaningful? Pfffffffft. :P -
