Thanks for the feedback so far. I understand it's a touchy subject since there are some people that can't differentiate farming and using exploits to game the system.
It would just help consolidate posts/subjects into one area rather than spread across the forums. I was hoping with the addition of the Trials that the term 'farming' would be less of a herpe on the face of CoH (ewww at that analogy, what the hell is wrong with meh brainses). But, I understand nonetheless.
Since this is For Fun and all...anyone have any clever names for such a forum?

On the Farm -
I'd like to propose a forum specifically designed to discuss farming and farming builds.
It seems some of the AT specific forums get bogged down with farming chat. Removing farming threads from AT forums, along with other areas, would allow posters to navigate the forums with more efficiency.
So, adding a Farming Forum would create the following pros:
1. Unclutter other forums to allow better viewing and posting of AT or forum specific posts/threads
2. Consolidate farming posts/threads to one area for easier viewing and commenting.
Cons:
1. It further confirms that the developers are not against 'farming' and actually support it to an extent (farming 'ok', exploits bad).
Right now, the name of this forum is Farming but that is obviously just a placeholder and would require a more creative name to not offend the farm-averse forumites.
While I'm aware this might not be a popular suggestion, I figured it was worth the time and effort to see if anyone else agrees with the idea, disagrees with the idea, and/or has some additional suggestions to make the idea more sound.
Thanks for your time. -

Yep, and just a reminder to anyone new reading...Vet Reward attacks like Sands of Mu are not affected by the -damage debuff from the Rage crash.

Quote:There is a certain game coming soon that takes place in a galaxy far far away. I hear it has some Sci-Fi elements to it.*sigh* They'll probably add more wrestling, or maybe cage fighting (seems to be the newish trend).
Space shuttle program ends with no decent replacement. Eureka cancelled.
Guess I'll have to get my SF fix playing SF RPGs, but the problem is no one around here runs such games as it's fantasy, fantasy, fantasy. I like elves, and dwarves, and dungeon crawls, but gimme some good ole spaceship TRAVELLERingwith blasters drawn at noon on Dodge Asteroid City, too.
(I hate game mastering games so that is not an option) -
Well that's too bad. I am getting sick of all the romance themes running amuck in the series lately. It's just way too much like As the World Turns for me lately. I watch the show on DVR and have been finding myself fast forwarding through some of the less appealing moments.
Here's to hoping they end the show properly with a good ending. -
It's a great set but you will find the lack of AoE damage to be annoying. At least I did.

Quote:A little update on my progress. Last night I upped the difficulty to +1/x8 and picked up Hand Grenades and Phasmatic Taser. I went from 35-37 in two runs I believe (I was about 40% done with level 35). The temp powers really helped my SS/ELA Brute due to the lack of low level AoE power like Spin.QR to thread.
I've been running this arc using a SS/elec brute. Its obviously not as effective as a claws/ela brute due to the lack of spin or any AoE damage at this low of level. Still, I'm leveling up quite easily. At +0/x8 I don't die, but at +1/x8 I die quite often so I've been running mainly at +0. Currently at level 35 and I think it's been about 5 hours or so.
I'll be picking up some tep powers, like the taser and grenades, to see if that will help my damage output. Overall a very effective way to level up and get mad tickets/inf.
Thanks TopDoc.
So, if any of you out there are not claws/ then I suggest the temp powers. They both provide good damage and Knockback. I usually target mobs that are outside my immediate aggro if I'm not low on life or defense. It does help IMO. The temp powers lasted only two runs though for me. I probably can squeeze 3 runs out of them but they are so damn fun to use.
The temp powers are cheap and so are the salvage pieces to construct them. There is an opportunity cost for having to stop, buy them and craft them. I usually do this when I'm dropping items off at the market after trading in my tickets. -
I know how they will be harvested. Mega Maid!

Hmmm, not a fan of the costume with the scale effect. His hair doesn't bother me much, I'm just assuming it's a bit messed up after removing the vault door from it's hinges.
I'll bet the next time we see this Superman that both his hair and outfit will be different than this photo. Hopefully, different = better. -
Quote:That was pretty funny.Stupid Trekkies, crashing Civil War reenactments and pretending to be time travelers.
I like W13 this week, much mroeso than last week's episode. I'm hoping they will move away from the whole 'pete sad, pete's past sad' stuff. I'm guessing that will be the last of it for a few weeks now.
Overall a good episode but the leaving the artifact out on the table with a guest in the house is pretty, um, lame. I mean, it's an effing artifact!
I need to get my hands on that bee though. I would finally be able to complete my plans FOR WORLD DOMINATION!!! MUAHAHA!! MUUUUUAAHAHAHHAHAHA*cough*. Anyways, ya, good show. -
RIP Mr. Smith.
My father grew up watching you play football and I was lucky enough to see you in high-light clips and your Police Academy movies. Godspeed sir. -

Quote:If you want to make your character better, there are always better things to spend your slots on unless you frequent Hami or use Claws. Extra recharge, extra defense, slow resistance, and even extra HP and regen would all be better than something extremely situational such as KB protection off the ground. -
Quote:You are assuming that the build has the ability to slot more IOs than 1 in a default slot and that the build hasn't slotted the other uniques available.Which I disagree with. Quote:All I'm saying is that you are making blanket statements without knowing the ins/outs of each possible build.I don't play under 50 enough for the lack of Taunt to be significant, and if I'm not surrounded by mobs I don't need to jump.
Note: I never argued that there's no use in getting the KB protection IO. All I'm saying is that there are simply better things to spend your slots on. -
Quote:And you can't put the FF +rech in FSC.
But still anything/fire/mu brute is going to be pretty close.Quote:FSC actually does MORE dmg than FS and has the same rech. The smaller radius shouldnt matter in an ambush farm at least. It does however have a longer activation time.
The fact that you dont get the FF+rech proc as well is a BIG deal though. But i haven't done too many tests and i could see fire/fire/mu being a very close second.
And that FF +recharge proc is another good point you two. I did forget about that.
