Which is why the "crappy" attacks are rated to give a small threat rating, as detailed in my post. You load a mob with nothing but light attacks - it will give little reward.

I doubt you could ever make it so that it's impossible to create a high-reward enemy that someone won't be able to take down easily.

For example, an enemy with tons of ridiculously strong melee attacks and lots of regeneration would still be easy for a controller with -regen powers. Just immobilize it, stay away, and sap their regen.

Even if you also required them to have strong ranged attacks for the high reward, it would really just require a tanker to taunt them and keep them away from the controller. Then you just get six blasters to mutilate them from a distance. Easy farm.

I think you read it wrong, the bid as 245 million, so they would have been bidding 45 million not 24 million. I only got 224 million because of the transaction fee.

I was wondering about that, too. I figured they were trying to low-ball and bid 45 million. If that's the case they low-balled too high.

My Kinetics defender had 495 merits from running TFs, so I decided to buy two LotGs. I had heard that crafting enhancements, and then selling those instead of the recipe, is usually far more profitable than selling the recipe. But instead of crafting them both, I decided to see it for myself and sell one crafted, one non-crafted.

I had started to think that I should have just crafted them both, when I logged back on to the character and saw THIS. I had to do about a quintuple take, since I got it for almost four times its previous selling costs...

By the way, that's the most Influence I've ever had. In fact, I believe I only have three characters who have more influence than just the transaction fee on that. So you can see why I wanted to share.

...Now I'm mad I crafted the other one.

Heck, I do that on my blaster with nukes. There's nothing quite like going out in a massive explosion to wake up your team.

But yes, when I'm playing a scrapper and my team is just farting around, I'll rush head-long into a mob. Can't wait to do it with shield charge.

Did he actually refuse, like in text? It might have just been that he kept clicking "Exit" out of habit. I know I do that a lot on TFs. Right when I click Exit I realize I would have been better off just going straight to Ouroboros.

It's as good as super jump, the only difference being it doesn't help you get to acrobatics...if you need it. Obviously it's pointless to take it with a travel power, but it's a good substitute for one.

No, but supposedly all "appropriate sets" will eventually be proliferated. I see no reason why defenders should get every other elemental blast set and not fire, eventually.

Someone else will probably respond with a link or quote to back this up sooner or later...

Although Kinetics/Fire blast would probably be the highest damaging combination for defenders (or at least nearly tied with /Sonic), wouldn't it go pretty well with Trick Arrow? Disruption and Acid arrows for -40% resist, plop down Oil Slick, and lay a Rain of Fire on it. You'd get the (minor) damage of RoF plus the damage over time of a lit Oil Slick! Plus, you can toss in Fireball and Firebreath for their AoE damage.

Does this sound like a fun setup to anyone else?
