When I try to change the Shadow Mode and or Shadow Map Shader settings I lockup hard and have to close the program from the taskbar icon or from task manager.

I also get the same lockup problem if I click on somebody and select "info", I also get it when logging out and selecting the "Exit Now" option.

I'm running windows 7 64bit and have not ever had these issues before I17. I'm also running a single EVGA GTX 470 SC video card. Latest drivers and all since it is brand spanking new.

You need a new video card. Your card is on the low end of the 7900 series and I seriously doubt that you ran "max" setting with no issues, you probably had heat build up that was damaging your card from running "max" setting.

You should look for a higher end video card and that means paying attention to the heat sinks on the card and making sure that you have a good fan. Also don't forget to get a power supply that your card calls for and make sure your case is well vented and has good air flow.

I cannot stress how important it is to make sure that when buying a video card a person follows the instructions to keep it running. Like everything electronic out there, nothing lasts forever and that applies to video cards and the cheaper you buy one the more likely it is to break down on you after a year or two.

Okay, I'm very very positive that BP minions used to spawn during the day and the Bosses would spawn only at night, this either has been changed during a recent patch/issue, I just don't know when.

I have been playing for a very long time and have hunted many BP along the Argo Highway.

DP/Devices Blaster: he is fun to play and lives pretty well
Kin/DP Defender: This is the best of three so far
DP/Kin Corrupter: Have not played this one much, but so far all is good with this toon

There are several things that can be causing this:
Video Card needs to be cleaned
Video Card over heating
Video Card not getting enough power
Video Card is not fully seated in slot (rare but it can happen)
Case is keeping in too much heat
Power Supply is weak/old or under powered/or not enough volts on the rails
ISP problems between you and the game server

If all of the above are not the issue, I would suggest getting a new video card.

Chuck a rl friend of mine and a player in the game came up with a great suggestion, that I now call the "Chuck Rule", for players and teammates with the Mystic Fortune power. Here is how it works for teams:
The player above reads the fortune of the player below him and if you are the bottommost player you pass it to the leader.


So simple that even I can follow it.

I hope that the "Chuck Rule" catches with all as it has with our SG and friends that we play with all the time.

I've never had a trial account but I'm on a team with a person who has one and he is not getting xp anymore after hitting level 14 is that normal?

Not sure exactly what the heck has happened to the STF but for some reason the 4 AVs this time were undefeatable. No matter how much damage we did to them, they seemed to either auto heal faster than we could damage them or deflect all the damage. Everybody was lvl 50 and we are all experienced players.

Many of us including me have done the STF before and been successful at it.

Does anybody know if there is a bug on it or if they changed the difficulty. Our difficulty was set at -1 + no AVs.
