Excellent arc. Had a ton of fun playing it. And appreciated the little touches.

(Haven't particularly agreed with Venture - style and intent squashes any viable value most of the time - so its a bonus this way.)

A few weeks agao some Going Rogue salvage was accidentally revealed in BM/WW. Several bids were placed on the items, with an eye to early grabs and/or on a lark. I fell into the latter category - dropping a single bid on one salvage type on one character.

That character can no longer access the Black Market - crashing out completely because the salvage has been removed, but the associated bid still exists and since it can't find a match for the bit item.... boom.

Anyway, I know others had similar bids out there. Some of you (from the discussion above) have similarly discovered this. Others, may not have logged on to a given alt and not encountered this.

Long story short I got confirmation today via email:

I slotted slows in Quills, can't remember what set but stuck 2 in there for a small set bonus, and to help keep the victims within my AoE range as long as possible. (spines/dark)

I passed our recognized pattern on up the chain with my bug report. If you anyone affected by this hasn't /bugged it, I recommend you do so. I for one do not want to wait until GR releases to get one of my favorite characters back.

There is a pattern then.

I'd guess they pulled the salvage from the available list, didn't clear the associated bids, and as the data flows there is a mis-match and boom.

Kicking this into my bug report.

I know that my character that crashes is the only one that I have that tossed a bid out on a piece of GR salvage. I wonder if that is what is hanging that character by chance.

Just trying to think of things that may be different about this one over all my others.

In cap its in the last room, by the named facemaker for your level 30 CC mission.

Yesterday my lead vill was BMing just fine. After today's patch any time that one character clicks on a BM contact, the game freezes and crashes out with log window.

So far, every other hero or villain I take to BM or WW work fine.

I tried zoning and approaching BM in another zone. No help.

I /bugged it, but thought I'd toss it out for others to be mindful about.

Ok, I haven't played in a year or so and there's lots new to me again... I'm not the type of player to "farm" but I like to rush in and do lots of AoE type of dmg... I don't like tanking either so I haven't really considered making one... So...

Having said that I was wondering what opinions people had of dual blades, fire and dark sets for survivability, and doing lots of dmg both single target and AoE... Should I consider Sheild Defense as a possibility?

Any suggestions would be awesome, thanks in advance.

Gonna echo some of the existing replies.

Start with Spines/

From there look at /Dark Armor (it has End issues but can be lots of fun). My Spines/DA feels like one continuous nuke.

I haven't tried /Fire but hear nice things there too.

Maybe it'll pull some of the new players out to actually learn about the game some.

Doom and gloomers aside....

despite a lot of my main SG fading away after 4-5 years of play, my game experience hasn't changed much. I generally solo'd or played on small teams with the occasional TF or 8 man PuG tossed in for good measure. I can still find either of these without too much trouble.

OTOH, Justice falls farther down the server activity list more often than it used to.

Still leveling my plant/thorn but what little I know includes:

seeds of confusion
get it as early as possible.
slot it. love it.

carrion creepers
get it as early as possible.
much fun. very useful.

Yep, for me its 42-44 range. I have... 4 parked there now as I work other characters. I eventually will get back to them, I have all the others that languished there.

AT doesn't matter. Red or blue doesn't matter. Its an odd phenomenon.

I'll be able to make it today.
I don't have anyone in XP range, so I can bring pretty much anything that would be needed on a second team.
