Coincidentally, my Elec/dark tank is demon themed.

Red-violet electrical energies and dark powers resulting from a failed demon summoning that resulted in a demon possession that left the summoner in control (mostly)...

It looks suitably wicked, in all his forms.

Edit: A little gold thrown into the energies due to the magical chains.

In his in between man/demon form (and most common costume):

One of two forms when the demon is brought forth more completely for battle:

True enough... though the first answer worked for each side.

    Not for several issues.

edit: and I prefer RWZ because it is ungated, so quick. (Though I haven't done Serafina's arc in forever. May be a nice change of pace. Thanks for the reminder, all.)

And as a pure aside, 35 is when I start putting in IO sets, many of which I have pre-planned/purchased.

Best place I like to get 35 SOs is with the vendors in RWZ.

No, I get the campy bit... but it could still be done 'better' and not lose that.
  6. I actually think this may have been the best episode of the bunch,... but it still had some holes/issues that have kept me from buying in completely.

I think Arnabas hit it on the head - the scripts need support. The visuals have established themselves in a way that is working, and the (generally) 'small set' scenes seem to be working as well. The dialogue and pacing needs to catch up.
  7. Anyone else get the email reminder/invite?

Am I seeing things with the blue & red flying character?

edit: for clarity's sake, I'm pretty sure he is wearing a jetpack, and I can't tell if it is one I should recognize... at work so can't upload it anywhere...

    re-edit: meant jetpack, wrote backpack...

Like if the solo types are so keen on "fairness" between their way and the normal play style, shouldn't they be campaigning for a big reduction in purple drops for soloers, or a major increse in purple drops for teams?

It isn't really an issue of "fairness".

I for one, and apparently others, am not the least concerned about the drop rate (though I am not sure I understand the reasoning for it...).

I want incarnate level/focused solo friendly content.

Someone used the comic analogy nicely earlier. I enjoy appearing in the team issues, but my solo titles sell nicely too thank you.
  10. Look, the point is that it seems that team oriented trials are coming as the focus for incarnate abilities, and there are some strong hints of what this may be like in current recent content (the shard unlock arc, Tin Mage, Apex, CoP, released info on BAF...).

This seems to be in line with what 'end game content' means in other MMOs (no idea, I don't play any others).

This makes some happy, makes others afraid.

The point is large, team/raid content can be fun, and clearly ups the ante in terms of challenge. I am OK with that.

However, we are talking about superheroes here. And the ability to go off and achieve something solo that is above and beyond is also cool and also fun.

It isn't about catering to introverts or extroverts. It is, as much as possible, about making the game successful and fun for all of us, depending on our mood, tastes, opportunities, and schedules.

I'll join the trials, or TFs or whatever is coming, and I'll have fun. But, to answer the OP (emphasis mine):

If my incarnates don't have the opportunity to play some awesome incarnate level story arcs and shine solo if I want.... yeah, my interest will wane. And likely quickly.

Odd, I am pretty sure I pulled two sub-50s along with me on a run a few weeks ago
  12. Describing the problem like that... I don't even know what room you are talking about...
  13. AFAIK, teaming is the only real 'shortcut' to burn through it fast, if that is your goal. I have lingered and enjoyed the ride with everyone I've brought through, myself.

I actually find it easier to solo through a large majority of contacts there.

This right here is exactly how I feel.

Oh. Thanks. I had completely missed that, having stopped following comics a while ago. May be worth checking out.

    Batman Beyond

Batman Beyond was beyond (heheh) a doubt my favorite of all the various DC animated productions and it is a shame that it wasn't better developed or applied more broadly.

(and, what is the point of the question exactly? easy to retconned any mirror universe/timeline explanation you want in comicdom)

At a guess, because sometimes I just like soloing for hours on end... there isn't a single player game out there as cool as this one.

To be fair, it wasn't announced, it was just an image attached to a link to the massively article and wasn't mentioned at all.

But I'm with you. I'm inclined to think that every communication vehicle should get the same feed rather than rely on players to cross-pollinate.

edit: and FWIW, I think the most interesting thing about the bird-man is that those do not look like monstrous legs to me.

I have avoided the book series on the whole, but the Caiphas Cain books are a lot of fun.

The BAF is a physical place in a zone, and as I recall is referenced independently of another location that is the hospital.
  24. 45 minutes in I turned to my daughter and said, "You are getting the opportunity to watch some truly bad TV. This is going to get cancelled fast." The second hour, however, much better and I hope that shows more promise on where this will go.

I won't go into all the ins and outs, but I almost turned it off 15 minutes in... Ultimately, I just think they crammed too much in too fast at the start. Like I said, the second hour hinted at some stable, better paced legs to carry it forward.
