Guides were once a solid reference to understand what powers do, some feel and playstyle input, and moderate slotting assistance for SOs.

With IOs and Mids now, 'share your build' or 'check my build' posts have simply replaced them.

Looked pretty much like they were going for pure 60s/go-go-ish style to me.

Just little things like that just make the character look tacky(She looked like a $lut to me). But we get a view of Emma Frost and we'll see how she develops.
Hmmmm, my memories of Frost in comics growing up had her looking even $luttier. She wore actual pants far more in the movie than I ever remembered.... Then again I gave up on comics close to 20 years ago, so how they present Frost now I have no idea.

I actually liked how they introduced her and built her role up during the film, and then I was annoyed at the finish. To just cut her off like that seemed... abruptly contrary to Xavier's moral portrayal to that point.

A great question, that irked me mildly at the time, too. Especially after she demonstrated 'hearing' them in the soundproofed observation room.

It is difficult for me to argue against this, particularly given the quoted lines out of Xavier's thesis from earlier in the movie which seem to support Magneto and Shaw's conclusions.

  3. Also so this at X-Men tonight. Couldn't agree with Father Xmas more on all points:

    Excellent movie.

I know, but I thought worth mentioning just to touch on the loophole, particularly if it was new info for anyone.

Course that also tend to apply to Gravity and Ice control, and plenty of people like those.
It's perk is control, plus layered mitigation options heavy on soft control.

It is lock down and defeat in complete safety - more so than any other set I've played.

Yes, I'd say it is, and I'd plan on it being longer to run accordingly.

They will stack from the same caster if you apply, enter mish, and reapply... but that off course only covers the first encounter or two.
  12. I am not going to try to add to the technical feedback provided so far, but after trying multiple doms....

elec/ is my favorite dom set.

Grab a crowbar, bat, or something for when you run out of ammo after Z #1,157.

    Truth!

While I agree that when the dead begin to walk I'll be finding myself some projectile wepaons STAT, I still won't go anywhere with a trusty bat - it has limitless ammo, doesn't jam, and I've practiced with it more (though I, concede, not against living dead targets...).
  17. I never joined as often as I wanted... but did always enjoy it when I did.

    I'll certainly miss it.

Thanks for all the past effort to make this work.

So, there *could* be Fire/Fire for every AT.

    Yeah, that's not the case.

    1. Posi was the lead proponent of proliferation, even over Castle's objections.

    2. Posi, if he's against it now, is no longer lead designer.

    3. Proliferation generates player interest and pre-sold lots of GR. So, you know Production is pushing for it.

    4. In the latest Ustream, they said proliferation is not dead, but maybe just not in I21, but maybe yes.

I know, that's what made his other recent statement kiboshing proliferation so odd. Wish I could find it, but my search fu, it is weak.
  21. Given Posi's recent hint that proliferation is pretty much finished (),
    I doubt it much matters.

*hunts for the link, fails to find it*

edit: Aha! I wasn't dreaming it.

  22. I participated in some Atlas Park action on Justice last night.

Zoned into AP, joined a league (though typing this, I wonder what lag would be like for those participating in a normal team versus a league).

First encounteres were slooooowwww. Long wait for first few powers to fire. Then suddenly fine, fighting almost at a brisk Rikti invasion pace. No problems. Then, I was dead... animations for attacks that killed me appearing after I was laying on the ground.

I hit the hospital, where I was lag frozen in the rez beacon for several seconds.

Rejoined the fight, hit one aoe hold, the icon didn't cycle, no animation.... a rain of missiles, I die, then I see the power must have triggered in the instance and got me aggro as I stood around waiting for the lag.

I hit the hospital, where I was lag frozen in the rez beacon for several seconds.

    Lag killed again.
Logged off, it wasn't worth the aggravation.

ticks every 4 seconds I believe, I remember reading it tops out at 80hp for a tick... so call it 1200/min

Mostly helpful solo, no doubt about it.

If you have something desirable on your team build, you're probably safe comfortably making that choice, as the aura's range isn't tremendous.
  25. Finally got happy with the backstory, now tweaking the costume.

(short version) A mad scientist ends up using a naive assistant as an (unwilling) experiment subject. One brain installed in a clockwork body later... scared, angry, confused steampunk psi-bot escapes and begins a life of crime fighting. (beauty of this is I'll probably get around to making the mad scientist for red-side)

    Bring on the steampunk pack!

Oh, I also need to finalize my name choice.
