Quote:I pretty much read what you said as having no hope, 'look bad', etc. etc.I'm not saying there's no reason to hope. I'm saying that cobbling existing effects that don't succeed fully is no way to make a new shiny. If they're working on it, great. But no one should say it could be done "easily" based on what we've seen so far, since nothing has really hit it yet.
If you overstated in the rush to shoot down the OP, my apologies. -
Quote:No.So the Summit goer exclusive panels should have been the ones that fewer players were looking forward to?
It was inane to lock out the none goers from all the worthwhile panels. We could have been shared the costume or powers panel without stepping on precious attendees toes. Foolish to punish the bulk of us for having lives. -
Quote:And there is no reason that marketing was the worthy one to share with the players that could not attend. none.Actually, it was for practical reasons - it was way easier to set up the streaming in just one room, so they chose the big room, because that was where the opening panel and keynote speech were going to be held - that meant that the following panels that were going to be exclusive to the summit goers would have to be in the other room.

Quote:I still say things like oil strike CCE, and boils and slime auras show they continue to work on how to get water effects to look right. So hope remains.- Their reasons for not doing Water Control have been made clear time and again, and calling it a cop out when you clearly don't know enough about it to say, doesn't make it a good idea. The few water like powers we have don't imply they could "easily" do more. In fact, they look bad enough that I wouldn't want them to cop out and do more based on what they did there.

Quote:And odd given Noble Savage's comment the other day."Asymmetry costs a lot in resources. Not so much geometry as in texture space. If they went nuts with asymmetrical options they would essentially knock out the bottom 10% of computers."
This makes me so sad. It's the one thing besides clown MM henchmen that I really want in game. Oh well. I guess I'll get over it now...
I'm disappointed. -
Quote:I know, intellectually, that he didn't mean it that way. That was Brian "Crosscheck" Clayton. I don't think he meant it the way you're interpreting it, but he's the guy you want to complain to.
But listening to it... just awful, awful word choices. Can't possibly be even close to what he did mean. Terrible.
And, emotionally, my reaction was bad enough I almost went can cancelled my subscription.
Childish, I know. And in a few days I'll simmer down.... but so bad. I have to present at work constantly. I just can't get over such bad phrasing.
(and I was in game at the time, as were others and at least one global channel had complaints - so it wasn't just me.) -
Quote:A survey for the "die hard fans who cared enough to make their way there". or some such quote. Can't remember who said it.At the end of the third session they'll be passing out surveys for player ideas and such.
I wish I knew who to PM with how they made me mad at them for the first time since I joined.
And that sucks, because I liked everything else on that ustream (except the stupid random pack exclusive content) -
Quote:Yeah, that was annoying.
3.) Why isn't the camera/laptop setup so that Ustream users could actually see the screen?
But not as annoying as survey to get the voice and opinions of "our diehard fans that made the effort to come here" (or whatever the exact wording)
Never been outright mad at the dev team before. I am now.
I clearly don't care because I have a life, job, and family and made the awful choice of living in the midwest. -
Best laugh ever.

Quote:Path being gaining and working up in power at a more meaningful speed than the current rare shard no thread rate, but reasonable less than trial speed.I think any distinction between a solo Incarnate path and solo Incarnate content is... well, something I need explained to me.
Content being something that is there for incarnates (fully tier 4, or only alpha opened, or whatever) to do besides the trials and feel it is incarnate worthy (gain all level shifts, story focused on being more than an average arc). -
Quote:I was not even saying all of mine can, or that I've tested the ones that I think could.I don't know about your Incarnates, but most of mine still can't solo AVs. That's not what they were built to do.
But given the success of non-incarnates soloing AV and GMs I would think incarnates should be equal to the task of theirs inferiors.
Granted - I also assumed 'solo' to mean small team friendly, leaving AVs as AVs in incarnate content in that context is most likely perfectly reasonable.
However, as was pointed out, Incarnate Content does not equal Incarnate Path and that was a distinction I had failed to fully consider. -
as an addendum to this activity and discussion, NPR has posted a flowchart utilizing the 100 voted books "...designed to help you follow your tastes, provide context, and fulfill (indeed exceed!) any need for pithy commentary you might harbor."

Funny, I started the same combo last night.

More interesting science news today, again from collider work.

Quote:You are an incarnate, or you aren't. But really, 'solo' path here probably means open to small teams, ad-hoc play over the forced trial teaming. If they can't be down shifted for AVs then it wouldn't be a solo path.
(And, just my concept thrown out for group think.) -

I'd call the OP's experience pretty random.
I see elec/ doms all the time. -
Haven't failed a Keyes since the change.
Daily runs for a few days in a row now.
Then again, only failed one before the change too... but didn't run them as often. -
I can't remember my Saturday schedule off the top of my head.
Drop Inflyct (50 dark/cold corr) in as an alternate.
Or I have a 50 vigilante elec/elc dom that could come. -
