Electric Armor: Lose CP. It's worthless
[/ QUOTE ]
I think this will happen now that Scraps and Tanks get this set in i16. They ALREADY get CP in there epic pools so there will be a change done IMO. -
Question does this mean that Conserve power will be changed in the Electric Armor sets now since Scraps and Tanks can get CP in there epic powers? having 2 CP's available to them would be reason eough for a change wouldn't it?
Maybe a healI hope brutes would get the same treatment

I really hope the Devs think to make some changes when they see that Heroes will be able to get 2 CPs with Elec Armor....
[/ QUOTE ]
Agreed.
Double CP for both Scrappers and Tanks would be a bit much if you ask me.
There DEFINATELY needs to be a change to CP....
[/ QUOTE ]
DING this alone will make a change to the set. -
So not much to say about this heh? okies lookes like I won't get it then
-
if you have a thermal, cold, sonic, bubble buffer on your team. Brutes >> Scrappers...
Simply because not only fury. Brutes can hit tanker level resistance on top of all that with some outside buffs depending on which set. So yes Fury plays a big part but so does the lovely resistance levels that brutes "can reach with help 90%" so they can be a tank/scrap where a scrap will ALWAYS cap at 75% resistance were as Brutes is 90% along with huge damage potentional.
That is another key difference to think about. Not just damage on damage even though brutes do great there. -
I posted this in a another thread but did not want to thread jack it. I have an electric/cold (and fire/cold) I have been wondering about Summon Coralax pet. Is it any good to have around? I have never had it before but thinking of respecting into it to team with VS. How is the pet in PvP and PvE? Is it any good?
Really the only pet I have ever taken is the Mu pet for dominators. -
I need to roll a shield brute one day .. actually a sheild anything I haven't played any

go with anything/ela. /ela Is pretty much the I win choice for brutes, and especially stalkers.
[/ QUOTE ]
yeah and make sure you have Dual blades with that!
You have a SS/Wp already.. why not try something like Stone melee/Firey aura? That would be something different. Or SS/fire there both fun and kill really fast. -

Since issue 7:
EA, buffed
Invuln, buffed
Fire, buffed
WP. introduced
Shield, introduced
SR, ported
Invention Origin, soft capping for defense is a joke
I think a bit has changed regarding armor sets since then. ELA has been stagnant and, being resist based, gets borked through IO bonuses relative to defense sets.
[/ QUOTE ]
YEP and lets not forget that ITF that was not around before either. High S/L damage and negative energy damage all over the place. 3 things that ELA is not very good at defending against.
[ QUOTE ]
Electric Armor needs something, anything, to make it playable. Right now, i[u]t's the only melee armor that depends on teammates to keep you alive.[u]

Yeah I have posted everywhere about this recently ELA needs a fix. +HP/+regen/heal something anything! I do think personally that the S/L resistance could be beefed up a little since most late game foes are mainly s/l damage types. And don't get me started on trying to do a ITF with him being the only melee type in the team with no real buffs. >.< (ITF seems rough on him) everything else seems that he can do well but the +HP +regen I think would be beneficial for electric armor.
I do agree CP seems worthless really. -

I have a totally seperate question... so if your a fire/cold its safe to assume that you will go Mako Patron (like I did on my electric/cold (I have a fire/cold too)) But I have been wondering is Summon Coralax pet any good to have around? I have never had it before but thinking of respecting into it to team with VS (for the electric/). How is the pet in PvP and PvE? Is it any good?
[/ QUOTE ]
I like the coralax pet. I haven't really pvp'd much since i13 so I can't speak to how good it is there.
All of his attacks cycle pretty quickly.
I like it more than the /mace spider (who honestly does nothing most of the time), but less than the /soul fortunata (she's pretty mean). I haven't tried the /mu pet for corrs.
[/ QUOTE ]
Okay thanksWas trying to see if it was even worth getting
the only pet I tend to get is the MU pet, but I have 1 respec left and was thinking that having the Coralax could help with my VS pet. But not really sure as I have not expereinced the pet yet. I am curious about how it does in pvp though.
maybe I should make a seperate post so I don't thread jack this.. -

Mass Hypnosis Hello??
L2P your Mind Controller/Dominator.
What does the Fire Controller use to AoE mez WITHOUT DRAWING AGGRO???
Oh, that's right, HE CAN'T, ONLY MIND CAN DO THAT.
What IOs are you gonna slot to make Flashfire not alert the mobs?
What IOs are you gonna slot to mez Hold resistant mobs?
[/ QUOTE ]
Uh, who cares? Serious question: if it's stunned who cares if it's aggroed?
[/ QUOTE ]
Okay in a MoRSF the AoE sleep (w/ domination) can sleep all the lvl 53 Heroes in the final mission perma this allows villains to pick them off one by one instead of attacking them all together for MoRSF runs. (Note* most Heroes and AVs are weak to Sleep).
[ QUOTE ]
It definitely belongs in the underperforming category. Unless your measure of performance is "not killing things effectively" - in which case Mind's great, sleep your enemies for hours, they'll be well-rested when the fire controller comes by and kicks their butts.
[/ QUOTE ]
Please understand when you make this comment that you have to look at "ALL" the AT's that it would affect. Being that it does no damage actually helps Dominators (see above it works that way when soloing too). Your view seems to be soley on controllers (hereoes). In order to fix the set you have to consider both AT's (Villains AND heroes) and how it affects them. -

Happy Birthday Turbo_Ski
-
I can see turbo ski's logic here, maybe its just the way they are saying it that its not coming through correctly.
Basically when you team with veats you cap Defense to all, those teams don't get hit very often as a result of that. Heck running around with 45+ defense is LOVELY!
The simple answer is since Ice shields grant major +defense you won't get hit as often then where is the need for the +HP if your not taking in damage? Also at the same time you shut your oppenants down with all the slows so they barely attack. And when they do its normally a miss.
Now to play to Frost's point.. the +HP IS something that is needed more than the shields in PvP now since they nerfed defense. That +HP does help
See so your both right if you look at it in the right light.
I can agree with you both here. -

I'll say only two...
Electric Armor
Gravity Control
Electric Armor is cool, great and fun, no worries from Sappers! However, any mob/mob group that does Smashing and/or Lethal damage...and well...you're going to want Aid Self...from my experience at least (my Elec/Elec Brute is lvl 50). I'm not sure what I'd like to drop from the powerset...maybe Conserve Power (although I have it on my brute just cause)...a heal that's in the set would be nice.
[/ QUOTE ]
I agree it seems that the /SR arguement here is drowning out the real under performers. Electric Armor needs tweaking and some form of regen or +HP or Heal or heck all 3 what ever it takes to tweak it. A lot of hero chatter here though, just trying to state that what is broke for heroes is not broke for villains in somes cases.
Many complain about fire aura, but on redside the one AT that you can make for prime time farming and PvPing and are OP at both is a SS/fire brute and seem to be great in pvE content. But blue side is different, again I have no issue with firey aura at all, I can see why some folks would be annoyed though with some aspects.. (No fear, KB , immobilize (out of BuRN) protection etc..
Gravity does need animation times reduced.. but doing that would make grav/doms even crazier with damage wouldn't it? Given the new buff? Again hero side only perspective i can see but I am trying to stay in view of BOTH red and blue side. [u]I am all in favor[u] of gravity animations being tweaked however
I also agree Devices needs help too its way to slow and hard to use in fast pace teams... hold on BRB setting mines.. <.< -
Sorry I am at work, I meant to say ToHit I have 3 of them laying around and wanted to see the impact it would make on this idea I have with touch of Death. The set just alarms me a bit because of the low accuarcy it gives as a whole. Sorry for the confusion. *re-edits OP*
-
Okay I have an odd question..
Lets assume your an energy melee brute, and in ALL your melee attacks (Bone Smasher, Energy Transfer, Total Focus, etc) you have 6 slotted touch of death set at lvl 40. The accuracy appears low for each attack since you only get 2 IO's in the set that have Accuracy to it.
How much of a benefit would a Kismet +ToHit proc be in Combat Jumping to these attacks accuracy? How many would it take to actually make a substantial difference? -

Strange I never had a problem beforegranted I was a perma dom with megalomaniac and Power boost

"in the old days" as a tank you never want to go near a perma dom.
[/ QUOTE ]IDk a wp/em running SOW after a BF rush had about 2 min to go to town. If i new a perma was lurking and i was on a melee, i used to run the top of the line BF's the ones that sold in the AH with the large insp(fortitudes or something? they last like 1:30 i think and give 10 protection a piece). They used to be costly as hell, like 100k or better for each but a tray of those was like having a emp.
[/ QUOTE ]
LOL also as a Mind/ Dom you would just TK/confuse them till they crashed then pawnLOL
Worked for me back in the day before i13Good times
*sigh* now I am depressed
