Link/Zelda gives new meaning to farming LOL
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bbUqE...eature=channel -
Quote:Here is the thread he meant about Brute version of Claws.I'm not terribly familiar with the Brute version of Claws so I can't comment on that, but as far as reliable and farm-friendly AoE all Claws has is Spin (yes, Eviscerate and Shockwave are AoE but Eviscerate is an odd cone and Shockwave causes KB). The reason SS is so good is because it's got a very good single-target chain, Footstomp is probably the best AoE in the game now that PSW has been nerfed, given some global recharge, and Rage is boosting your damage by 80% constantly as opposed to Claws which has to keep Follow Up stacked.
http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showt...light=claws+ss
Quote:Spin does more damage than Foot Stomp (even including Rage), has lower recharge and end cost. You also get it much earlier. The only things FS has going for it are the radius and knockdown. The radius means you won't have to wait a few seconds after jumping into a spawn for them to surround you, and KD is nice.
If you're looking for absolute max performance, I'd say claws. It's also much more comfortable while leveling due to SS getting its only AoE at 32. If you don't care about top performance that much, it boils down to taste I guess.Quote:hurr?
Spin: Dam: 79.04 Cast: 2.5 End: 13.150 Rec: 14
FStomp: Dam: 59.23 Cast: 2.1 End: 18.512 Rec: 20
Doublestacked Rage: 160% dam buff
Doublestacked Followup: 60% dam buff
95% enhancement for both
180% fury for both
Spin: 79.04*(1+.6+.95+1.8) = 343.824
FStomp: 59.23*(1+1.6+.95+1.8) = 316.8805
..... WOW.
And claws also gets eviscerate and shockwave to add to it.
Hope that clears that up -

Zappalina's Guide to Arcane Supergroup Defense Items
Some items have been removed from the game, such as the overseers control item, and item of power, etc.. which were obtained by base raiding, and completing the Cathedral of Pain TF many issues ago (issue 7 I believe for a span of 2-3 weeks it was active then taken down and never scene again)
So not everything is obtainable now but those SG's that obtained them at the time can still be seen in there bases now.
I am not in game at the moment (at work) otherwise I would log in and take a look at your other questions. -
Quote:True but we have other TP powers .. one takes you to Pocket D but you could just go to KR, Talos, etc to get there..Don't overlook the invention tables in the Vanguard base. Also, there are abandoned labs in Port Oakes and St. Martial if you need a place to quickly go to craft.
As for quicker access to the Universities? Well, it really is not all that far a run from the Yellow Line to the Steel Canyon branch. And likewise, the one in Croatoa is pretty easy to get to as well. And if you need to get to the Green Line real fast from a low level zone, and do not want to work your way through Steel, the Founders Falls exit from the Vanguard Base is right across the street from the train station.
We have a TP to go to Went Worths.. when there in a lot of zones already...
Then there are TPs to each zone
(I mention this to say "remember back when SG bases would only take you to hazard zones only?")
Then we have Mission TP, etc..
Why would it hurt to have another TP that could take you to the university for easy access to the midnighters club?
It seems every year or so we get a new TP to go somewhere regardless how easy it already is, might as well have one that takes you closer to the midnighters club.
Just a thought. -
-
So I understand that we can't TP directly to Cimerora,.. how about a library pass (a teleportation power that allows you to choose which university to go to "steel" "founders falls" "croatoa" and "Cap" (villains)) so we can get to the doorstep of the University that alone would be a shorter distance for us to get to Midnighters club >> Cimerora since all the Midniters club's are in front of a university in every zone
Also for people without SG's (some do not want to be one) they can have a way to get to a place with Invention worktables and not have to travel cross country for it.
Just a thought. -
Quote:I remember this..^Yeah, it was willpower that was going to ship without immob protection.
Also to the OP are you Elec/Elec? I know sometimes when using Lighting Rod it puts you off the ground momentarily as you teleport to execute the power. Maybe thats when your getting immobilize or in some cases KBed. I have CJ and KB IO's to back up Grounded so I don't experience it now, but it was something I noticed while leveling up. -
Numbers are fun

Claws seems to do more damage and DPS than SS for " brutes " by the numbers, also Spin and Footstomp both have a 10 target max. -

Quote:TJ let me re-quote the last paragraph in my OPChrome has never tried to mend fences with me, so don't tell me he went to extended lengths before coming here to the forums.
If you are in channels that are ripping Chrome a new one and you don't agree with them or feel uncomfortable there, just leave the channel.
You say "Don't let old crap kill a possibly good thing" but thie thing is, in an online environment, in real life, or anywhere else the only thing we have to judge people on are our past interactions with them, which is exactly what I'm doing here, and it isn't limited strictly to Chrome.
Quote:Also I would like to take a moment in closing to state that I realize in the past things may have gotten off to a rocky start with Chrome Support. I accept blame for my part in it, I have never been one to not voice my opinion on things. But I do feel that if those that still hold a grudge continue to live in the past we will not be able to build towards the future. If for some reason I have hurt any of you during that time and process I sincerely appologize as it was never my intention to do so. I believe this change is a step in the right direction and hope that others will unite and come together to make this a success, like I believe it can and should be.
Quote:Chrome went to extended lengths before ever coming to this forum to mend fences with all he felt were involved with that mess.

Its an old arguement that quite frankly is that is neither here nor there now. Understand that this Justice United endeavor IS NOT about me. People seem to catagorize it as such, when its in fact about the server and the reps coming together for a common cause.
If you have a personal issue with me that I am not aware of and want to talk about it further feel free to PM me in game. My forum name is my Global chat handle. People that know me know I am always willing to talk out what ever problems there may be. Its hard for me to talk out an issue with someone of whom I have no idea I did anything too.
Let the old crap die already, my post and reply was sincere in what this endeavor was for and we all are united in this venture. I hope that we can make this a success. Please understand this is not about Chrome, for those that feel negatively about me. Another issue is Chrome Support will cap out soon so this change would be needed at some point. We felt that making this change would be for the better.
Currently we understand you do not want to join the channel and that is your right. If you change your mind in the future you will be welcomed. While I acknowledge your disagreement and concerns; only you can decide to join or not join JU. the decision is yours, I am only a PM away if you would like to talk more TJ, if not then I wish you the best in what ever you choose in game.
Thanks, -
This should be a fun event

Quote:Are you proposing that all the other channels be folded into this one? If/When/Until that happens, won't the hassles you described still remain and be multiplied by another channel to work with?
I'm sorry if that's how it came across. But no this is not an attempt to fold all channels into one. This is an attempt to have representation from some of the leads of each channel in one to boast what Manoa correctly termed.
Quote:Think of it as a coalition of community event planning organizations to help maximize planning manpower and exposure for Justice events.
Quote:This NEW channel is for those players that want to participate in everything justice has to offer. Not just one thing or another... (You know the kind of players that say stuff like... I WILL NEVER PVP I will only do Costume Contests and never hit lvl 50 or I am HERE TO ROLE PLAY! types.) That channel may not be for them. But for others that do it all! Like PvP, and do TF's, and go to the events, and Raids, and are more than just one or two things. This is a way to make sure all that all the big players and communities will be able to voice each of them
Quote:Yeah, but isn't that why we have JFA? I'm not sure why another channel is needed. That's where my confusion comes from.
The issue is not about individual channels, this new endeavor is for helping organizing events better. Like in my example below:
Quote:Seeing things behind the scenes as well as first hand, I have noticed that sometimes when hosting an event can be troublesome. Not for the channels, communities, & people that are trying to help the individual but for the Host of the event.
To explain a little further the benefit of doing this let me paint a scenario, typically the host of an event deals with continuously having to keep up with multiple MoTD's, promotions on various channels, websites, forums, (not just CoH boards) then to answer all incoming question on each of the communities sites, channels, etc can become a hassle for the individual trying to get the word out. Wither it’s a radio show, a costume contest, a MA event, PERC/PvPec event, badging/TF race event, a lowbie event, etc the process sometimes can become grueling.
Also if others want to join the channel so they can participate in all the events as well they are more than welcome too. Communities such as P.E.R.C., PvPec, Justice Radio, and others that run events would benefit from this.
I understand some folk’s stance on there respective channels helping those that run events. And I can agree with that mind set looking from the outside in. However, when looking at it from the inside out it is still a big process behind the scenes that not many see, having to answer questions on Chrome Support, JFA, JB (if a badge hunt event), Justice Radio, private channels etc can become over whelming to some. This channel is here to help unite the server in what ever event is being planned so any that wants to participate in them won't be left out. PvP events, CC's, Raids, Race's, casual teaming as well.
Also I do not want to discourage that Events will be the only focus but it is the main focus of this new direction. We still plan on having a friendly place where people can find teams and chat about things, but this channels goal is to help promote the fun without burning out anyone person from doing everything. We are here to help, to prove that community is unity in doing this.
Having PERC, PvPec, Justice Radio all together boasting all there events and radio shows at the same time would mean something for everyone all the time. Sprinkle in a few JFA raids in there and I view this as a win/win for the common player to truly experience all of what Justice has to offer.
I hope this explains things a little clearer, I am currently at work so not always at the computer tonight sorry for any grammar issue's doing 3 things at once here. I will try to answer anything you guys have for me, but I can't give a ETR on them tonight.
thanks, -
Hello my fellow Justice friends,
Currently, the 3 year old Chrome Support Channel has around 2350+ members. I appreciate all the support that the people have given to this channel and for all the hard work the moderators and community have put in to make it a success. I wanted to wait until well after Champions Online was released to make the following announcement that has been in the works for the past 8 months. With saying that it is with great optimism that I announce that Chrome Support is moving for the better.
What caused this?
Back in May we had an event that we sponsored called "Super Bash 09" that catered to all communities on Justice. It was one of the few events that proved too many that Justice can be unified even if for one night. The event had PvP, PvE, AE arcs, Costume Contests, Radio Shows, PERC, PvPec, Hami leaders being featured in the AE arc, and You Tube promotional video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dN3cGBZVXhI
It really got me to thinking, why not have one place on Justice that has representation for all the communities? Wouldn't it be nice to have one channel that had the leadership and respect from its peers in an unbiased way?
I also believe Ice Knight's Halloween Event tomorrow linky here Will further prove the same, much like Super Bash did as it also will cater to all the communities of the server.
Why change the Chrome Support channel?
Well the answer is this new channel will be more than what Chrome Support was set out to be, it was the first all in one channel. However it was not unified with other channels, it seems that most channels are set in there ways and a community all to themselves. We wanted to break that mold and unite Justice instead of drifting each other further apart. Also to have a platform were ALL communities will have a voice. This NEW channel is for those players that want to participate in everything justice has to offer.
This is a way to make sure all that all the big players and communities will be able to voice each of them. I just want to make sure folks stay respectable to each other when using the channel. I have been preaching that for years on Chrome Support.
It will be a channel that all the other community leads can use to come together for server events without bias. Communities such as PERC, PVPEC, Raid leaders, Chrome Support, Justice Radio, MA channel, etc currently have no one channel that has full representation. For the past year I have been aiming for this goal, My reasoning for this is simple, I do not expect people to baby-sit adults, that channel is not for that, but more of a neutral place where folks can keep up with what’s taking place on the server, and not be afraid of participating in ALL of the Justice events and fun.
Example:
Some folks on Chrome Support that may not be on JFA wouldn't know when Hami raids are unless someone happens to speak on Chrome Support... some don't even know about Justice Radio shows without joining Justice Radio or by chance seeing something on another channel, some don't know much about pvp without asking ,some don't know about Chrome Support until someone asks to be unsilenced on JFA lol see the circle here?
In a simplistic way of looking at it, every channel is promoting every channel without knowing it. May as well have one channel that the community can use for this purpose. This channels primary objective is to Unite Justice and all the communites, just like Super Bash proved that it could be done. More or less a one stop shop of all Justice events.
Seeing things behind the scenes as well as first hand, I have noticed that sometimes when hosting an event can be troublesome. Not for the channels, communites, & people that are trying to help the individual but for the Host of the event.
To explain a little further the benefit of doing this let me paint a scenerio, typically the host of an event deals with continuously having to keep up with multiple MoTD's, promotions on various channels, websites, forums, (not just CoH boards) then to answer all incoming question on each of the communites sites, channels, etc can become a hassle for the individual trying to get the word out. Weither its a radio show, a costume contest, a MA event, PERC/PvPec event, badging/TF race event, a lowbie event, etc the process sometimes can become grueling.
For these reasons, we bring to you the "Justice United" channel.
The Justice United channel rules are simple:
1. Each member is to respect one another; flaming, vulgarity or personal attacks will not be tolerated. This will be a drama free channel much like how we moderate Chrome Support. Please keep in mind that children also play this game and we try to make sure that they everyone in the channel remember that it is a family atmosphere.
2. This will not be a power level with a FEE channel. I know this is less and less of an issue since i14. But power leveling for influence/infamy is to be left on the Justice Power Level channel.
Here are the Moderators for Justice United
(note* since this is a move from Chrome Support to Justice United most of the Chrome Support Moderators will remain Moderators)

I have always believed in the meaning of a channel means more than the name, but in this case the meaning and the name complement each other to promote that:
Community is Unity, We are JUSTICE! and UNITED WE STAND!
This move will take place on Monday November 2nd, 2009
I hope to see you all there. -
