For those that saw the movie you know what scene this is from. -
Quote:Rock is known for beating people up^What they don't tell you is that a lot of the complainers are the ones that refuse to take kids to R-rated movies.
Anyway, am I the only one who thinks the Rock might be able to play a good Lobo?
Lobo is known for beating people up
Rock is known for talking trash
Lobo is known for talking trash
Rock is known to be a big guy
Lobo is known to be a big guy
I don't see the problem, seems like the character of Lobo and Rock are the same. Why wouldn't he be able to play someone like that when there are so many similarities?!?!
Agreed -
Quote:Damn bro what is the world turning into?!?!?I'm not sure I want Nolan involved in any movies any more. I mean he's really really good. I love his movies. But some of his fans (at least the Dark Knight ones) are genuine nutcases.
When the Avengers first came out and started setting box office records the DK fans were claiming it was because people were going to see the DKR trailer and then walking out of the theater.
Now, Rotten Tomatoes has closed comments on their DKR reviews. A couple of the reviewers posted bad reviews of DKR saying it didn't live up to the hype and wasn't as good as the previous 2. Fans were leaving insults and death threats in the comments. And remember, at this point virtually none of the general public has had a chance to see the movie so they were responding based on their preconceived fantasies. Like I said, nut cases.

Details of the trailer..
***Spoilers****
Hall H at Comic-Con International was the place to be on Saturday afternoon, with Warner Bros. Pictures showcasing footage from the highly anticipated "Man of Steel" movie.
While fans were unable to film the footage shown, what follows is a description of what was seen, written by Luis & Ivan Jaime...- It opens with a wheat field on a farm.
We then see a toy wagon flipped over in the grass.
A butterfly on the chain of a swing, it flutters its wings.
Cut to a shot of a man, walking alone on a snow-covered road. We see him from the back, walking towards the hills.
We see a young boy, running through a field of grass from the farm we saw earlier. He wears a red cape, tucked into the back of his white T-shirt.
Cut to a scene with a bearded Clark Kent sitting on the steps of a house on a cloudy day. A dog runs up to him, and he scratches the back of its head.
We are then back at the farm. We see the boy with the cape, we don't see his head. What we see is his torso, with his two fists firmly planted on his waist, in a signature pose that we are ALL very familiar with.
In the background, we hear what sounds like a combination of Jor-El and Johnathan Kent: "What if a child dreams of becoming something other than what society had intended? What if a child aspired to something greater?"
The scene changes to Clark being brought to a barn. A dusty sheet is pulled to reveal an intergalactic vessel that had been hidden there for years.
Clark holds a metal "S" shield, in the new design from the movie, in his hand.
Next we go to a completely different setting. We are no longer in a farm, but in a city.
We hear a woman's voice in the background: "My son was in the bus." It cuts to a teenage Clark, saving children from a school bus that had fallen off a bridge and crashed in the water. Clark is swimming to the bus, and he rips the door off. "He saw what Clark did."
Jonathan Kent's voice is then heard saying: "People are afraid of what they don't understand."
Jor-El is now seen standing before Clark. "It's not from this world Clark." Jor-El pulls opens his cloak to reveal the Superman suit's "S" Shield. "Take you're freedom. It's my conscience. Where I come from."
We now see Superman in his suit, long red cape flapping in the wind behind him. The first shot of him in the suit is from a distance, the second shows him walking across a snowy plain.
We hear Jonathan Kent's voice: "You have to decide what kind of man you want to grow up to be Clark. Whoever that man is, he's going to change the world."
When then see a series of brief glimpses:
We see a glimpse of Superman flying.
A glimpse of him catching someone falling off a building.
A quick glimpse of Amy Adams as Lois Lane.
A glimpse of Superman being led down a hallway by police, with his hands behind his back, while in his Superman suit.
We catch a glimpse of Clark inside an elevator. The doors are closing, and right before we can no longer see his face, he removes his glasses from his face.
He hear Clark's voice: "My father believed, if the world found out who I really was, they'd reject me. He was convinced that the world wasn't ready." We see Lois approaching Superman as if they are about to kiss. "What do you think?"
There's a glimpse of a shirtless Clark, with his whole body on fire.
And finally, we see Superman being thrown into a giant bank vault. The same vault from his first promotional image. It looks like he's been thrown.
It finishes with a giant "S" shield, rotating on an axis, until you see the new "S" shield in all its glory. Followed by: "SUMMER 2013".
- It opens with a wheat field on a farm.

Rumors have been circulating for awhile that The Rock is up for a DC movie. Most people really want him to play Black Adam if DC can ever get a SHAZAM movie going. Although he has said numerous times that he would love to do play SHAZAM's main nemesis, more recent rumors say he is in the running to play Lobo. During and online twitter chat today he calls Rock Talk, Johnson said he does indeed have Lobo on his radar.
Ravey Rae @WritingAWonder 15 Jul 12
@TheRock I'm dying to know. Are the Lobo rumors true? I've seen them all around, but nothing to confirm it. #RockTalk
. @WritingAWonder Rumors of me possibly playing LOBO are true. Joel Silver and Brad Peyton working on it now. That could be fun.. #RockTalk
Like The Rock said in the above tweet Joel Silver and Brad Peyton are currently working on the film with no release date. This is not confirmation that he has be cast in the part just that he is a strong possibility. Leave your thoughts in the comment boxes below if you think The Rock will be a good Lobo.

Quote:SourceWith Christopher Nolan telling reporters that he would not be involved with any proposed "Justice League" movie, Warner Bros. film group President Jeff Robinov told the LA Times that they had had a conversation with Nolan about it as "anything you can get Chris involved in is great."
But none of the DC movies currently in the works has a producer, director or cast, save for Zack Snyder's $200-million-plus "Man of Steel."
As a result, it will likely be at least three years before a new DC title hits the big screen, according to several knowledgeable people close to Warner Bros. who were not authorized to speak publicly.
And while Warner would put most of its DC heroes on the big screen for the first time in "Justice League" and then potentially spin them out into their own movies, Marvel introduced four of its key characters in their own movies before teaming them up in "Avengers."
But with Nolan moving on to other projects, Warner Bros. must take a leap of faith without its superhero savior. Robinov claims he's ready to do it soon.
"My hope is that over the next month or so," he said, "we'll be ready to lay out the plan for the next DC movies."
Quote:The Associated Press asked Christopher Nolan if he had any plans to be involved in the proposed "Justice League" movie Warner Bros. is eager to get into production.
- "No, none at all," Nolan said. "We're finished with all we're doing with Batman. This is the end of our take on this character."
- Fans have conjectured that Nolan might return to Batman by producing a big-screen take on "Justice League," DC Comics' "Avengers"-style ensemble whose key superheroes include the Dark Knight, Superman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern.
Nolan guesses that the "Justice League" rumors started because of his involvement as a producer on next summer's Superman relaunch, "Man of Steel."

Odd Total: 29.00
Final DPS: 106.61 / 293.57 / 327.40
Welp.
The long animation of Power Burst is what really kills this set. Without the Sniper Blast upgrade it would be abysmally bad damage, significantly worse than most damage sets in the game and so far beneath the hot sets that it's essentially a drag on any team they join. Even with the Sniper Blast upgrade, they're still the worst conventional Blaster set available and any player taking this set is putting themselves in the hole.
There are some truly exceptional players using Energy Blast, but sometimes you're only as good as the tools you've chosen for the job. This set combines poor single-target performance with a widely hated secondary effect. In my line of work, we consider both "quantification" analysis (numbers, what you're reading now - numbers numbers numbers) and "qualification" analysis, which asks questions like, "What *should* we be doing?", and, "How can we do things better in a different way?" I'd say that Energy Blast is the set that needs the most work in the Blaster line because of these two reasons (with Electric Blast right behind it - we'll get to that in a moment) because it's so far away from where the metagame is going. It's a beautiful and conceptually fun set, but it needs a lot of work.
Buff please! -
Quote:This brings up a question I have about this proc in this new system.Normal Procs have I believe a 20% chance of going off right now. (With the exception of those like Entropic Chaos which are horrifically low)
Since Entropic Chaos proc is only slotted in ranged attacks, and most rnaged attacks don't have long recharge, does this mean that Entropic Chaos chance for heal will trigger even less now?
I mean its already a low chance to hit at all in its current state, does this change make this even less chance to hit? If so then someone might want to take another look at this proc and ones like it to buff it a bit. -
Enjoy the video!

Quote:Based on the first reactions to The Dark Knight Rises we can expect a truly spectacular third and final film in the Batman series from Christopher Nolan. Also you might be surprised to hear about elements in the film being controversial, while other scenes are so heavy they brough some to tears. Quote:The Dark Knight Rises has just finished screening for the press and critics, receiving a STANDING OVATION!!! Quote:Just finished the screening of Dark Knight Rises...so much awesome...can't wait to see it again. And again.
Quote:In reaction to who had the best moments - TomMcAuliffe - "Bane for sure."
"The trilogy is greater than the sum of its parts, and for me the 3rd was the very best part of the whole story. Dark knight is a classic in its own right - it stands alone, but in this trilogy, and as a closer, this film exceeds. It's an ending that presents opportunity for thought for sure. Risky/tough story well told, brilliantly acted, great cinematography, awesome score."
"To your original question - there are things I criticize in every film, but this one measures high on many measures. There will be some surprises but not big ones, the beauty of the film is how well it tells the story. Tom Hardy was incredible as Bane, the storyline was fantastic. I think the Joker is far more iconic than Bane, with more memorable quotes, but this story was great, including Bane's origin. Godfather 3 never happened. Xmen 3 & Spider-Man 3 were awful, this film was the perfect final chapter in the trilogy."
Quote:As far as audience reaction, there were only 40-50 ppl in attendance (mostly critics), but there was applause and I leaned over and shook Michael Uslan's hand and congratulated him when his name appeared in the credits. I, myself, cried twice...once out of sadness and once out of pure geeky uncontrollable happiness. - Quote:Vince just saw Dark Knight Rises at a press screening & says: "Wow. Quite speechless at the moment....TDKR was everything I wanted it to be" -
This looks great! I have seen the original film this remake looks totally sweet! Watch the trailer! Be warned its violent!
