  1. # 28... He's the greatest... he's fantastic... wherever there is danger he'll be therrrre!
  2. Caemgen is cool looking in that piece no doubt but I feel compelled to point out his horns are backwards... Morbid horns curve in towards the face not outward... they look a bit like spiral ram horns in his version. If the curvature was a little off it would be easy to overlook but pointing in the opposite direction jumps out immediately to me. If you look from the posted pic to your avatar an inch or so away you'll see what I mean.
Nelson does make good use of light and shadow though.

In the Fenian piece there is something amiss with her lips but it could just be that I'm not looking at in closely enough.
Also the point where here scarf meets her dress... the curve of the scarf is following the curve of the dress, I forget what
the technical term for this is but generally speaking you want to avoid doing this as it causes visual confusion when two separate
things flow into the same space and appear to overlap. Just moving the scarf up or down a little bit to break up the lines solves it easily.
Same with the lighting on her collar and her neck muscles above. Those are pretty minor though, probably not something to mention to him but
I would say something about the horns if it's not too late.

Also, CR, nice job on the two person pic... Forgot to mention that earlier. As you said, mainly doing solos I imagine it's a big jump to doing two in one pic where they're overlapping rather than just side by side... Pretty soon we're gunna need a fight scene out of you
    Thanks man,
    A fight scene... hmmm.
Already did two of them at least...here and here, granted they were like 8 minute or less quick sketches for the Hot Pencil thread but still.
Also even though you can't see the target (read villain that is about to enter a world of hurt) Shieldara at number 1 of 40 is a fight scene too... also the one I did for Pyro's birthday of Tee-Kayo is a fight scene where you the viewer are on the receiving end.

But yeah, those aside, I was planning to go for something like a combat scene for # 40 to end with a bang.

    Comic #25

There is no shame in gift artz.

    Comic #25

Read them all and awaiting the next one already lol.
By the way you may want to take a peek in my New Artz thread... link is in my sig.
  6. So I stumbled across this web comic a few months back called Jordan's Town
and I'm liking the work Jordan has done on it so far... thought I might give a few of her characters a try to draw more attention to the comic (seriously go give it look-see ) and just because I think these two are well designed and so #27 of 40 is up in my New Artz thread and it features Shazel and Garuk from Jordan's Town. Enjoy!
  7. I think the last time you posted here was before I found my way to the forums
so I never got to see your drawings before now but it's good to see you posting again. Welcome back.
  8. Lol I didn't say it... I was merely thinking it and chuckling.

    Guessing he meant Dual Pistols.

Yeah it's become something of a running gag that I rib him about but he didn't mention it much to artists in the beginning so many of them drew him with a human nose but if you look at the in-game screencaps it's the feline face. But hey you nailed the horns and they (along with the nose) seem to be overlooked a lot.

Just pointing it out for future reference in case you decide to do a detailed piece for him down the road (I'd be surprised if he didn't pounce next time you mentioned you were taking commissions).

P.S. I didn't have access to a backstory when I drew his character either... or a gallery of other art... or refs... or... lol
  10. Just tossing my hat in here to say I agree it's a bit bleak nowadays when you look around and don't see a single hero in any direction.
I'd be up for anything to revitalize the street sweeping just as long as it wasn't unbalancing.
The revamped security chiefs sounds promising and I also like the idea of defeating a certain number of mob X unlocking a new mission.
  11. Very cool quick sketches Wassy... I particularly like the expression on the bottom one's face.

**cough, his nose isn't human cough cough**
  12. ChristopherRobin

    Neowolf WIP...

Much improved and the lightening really punches it up.
  13. Got a request for more Disney (of all things lol) so # 25 is a shot of Simba as a cub... que the chorus of awwwwwwww's.

#26 is my February FArt submission Super Hero Body Paint. It's on my DA page for reasons of NSFWness.

  15. You want to talk dramatic... about 4 minutes before 11:00 pm here I remembered you are in a different time zone and I had less than 4 minutes to get it posted rather than an hour and 4 minutes like I though I had. Chalk it up to my fever addled brain that I thought I had until mid-night my time.

That is why the first post was the full version... it was the fastest way I could get it up to beat the clock. I figured it would only exist that way for a minute or two until I could get it thumbnailed (I later changed it to just a link with no image visible after U-naughts post) but I'd rather that then get it up at 11:01 and miss the deadline by a minute.
    Whew.

    Man I hate being sick.

P.S. what is this stacking you speak of?
  16. Well done Wassy.
    Congratulations!

Ya same here we had like half the entries missing a few days ago... turns out VexXxa isn't half bad with a whip.

*grumble* I suppose someone could take a magnifying glass to the thumbnail... sheesh ok I'll fix it.

...of course they could just click a few more times and have the full view anyway.

Edit: Took care of it... it's just a DA link now.
  19. I only have the two Fan Art "deviations" posted up there so even if I just send them to my page they will see a pic of it under most recent deviations. I am thinking though that the mature filter is turned on by default so anyone clicking through from here will get a blank square and they will have to click again and choose to disarm the nudity filter. That would be at least two clicks... those that have the maturity filter off, well they want to see smut anyway lol.

  20. Ok I linked it to DA (instead of Photobucket) which has a mature filter on it... is that ok or do I need to do something else?
  21. My fever finally broke earlier today so I decided to get up
and just sketch something and what ever came out would be my submission.

My entry... Super Hero Body Paint!
  22. This one came out really nice too. Some things that I like...
the brick wall and the power fx reflecting on the floor, (that's a nice touch) her legs and her ribs.
Also the little bit of daylight coming from overhead to light the alley shows up on her figure like it should...

What I think is a bit off would be the tails of her bandanna where it connects to the skullcap is too thin and almost
looks to be cut off and floating (or like they are part of the power effect)...
The poster with the pink writing on the far wall is too obscure... unless for some reason it's intended to be illegible...
The backwards use of your name... once you see it you can't not notice it kind of thing and it breaks the thought of that being graphiti.
These are just my opinions and it still came out very nice.

P.S. @VexXxa: of course the words are misspelled.
(well his name is anyway) but I agree it's a neat effect.

P.P.S. Yeah I know your name on DA starts with a K but that doesn't explain it ending with an "M" once on the
left wall and again where he flipped it backwards (to look like a different word I'm guessing) and put part of it on the far wall.

Wait isn't all of your art... "the best" art?

How do you ever make up your mind which to display... or do you have plans to (eventually down the road) display them all gallery style?

Step right up folks and get you're front row seats right here!
  25. I liked the bio for Jophiel's hero Pachamama so number 24 is... yeah you know where it's posted.
