Quote:I had all the final pieces for this project decided upon yesterday (other than the last one which became a spur of the moment thing) but fear not I am not going to stop drawing just because my New Years resolution is over... I just won't be under the gun (dual pistols?) so much.Maybe you can find some inspiration here! :3

Numbers 38, 39 and 40 are all up in my New Artz thread.
Thank you all for letting my use your characters in my little project and
for helping to keep me motivated throughout the process.

Fenian gets lucky number 37 and is finally done... for now.
-
Tick Tock, Tick Tock, only 12 hours to go and I still need 5 pieces to successfully reach my New Years goal on time.

Ooooh. Tagteam gift artz, Nice!
*high-fives Battlewraith*

A cool new style to see the trio done in. I like it, it's very minimalist and clean.
The figures are thinner and lankier than usual but not overly so. Also I like the sepia look as well and those are some pretty unique wings on Caemgen.
Caemgen has a human nose though... Alpha's helmet monocle is missing (and so it the white stripe in his hair/beard)... Fenian's pinky is longer than her other fingers and oh yeah and she has 4 leaf clovers on her hat... ahem.

**Wonders who is keeping track of the post counter**
Edit: Apparently no one is lol.
However 500 it did hit and the lucky winner was Red Valkyrja. Gratz Red!

A page that errors and says it hasn't submitted your post (but it actually has). 12 mins later I see it hasn't gone through yet so I click submit again.

Quote:Cool. Thanks Jordan, I'll go and check it out.I got your art up on my site. I'd been planning to add an art gallery section to my page anyway so you're pic was my impetus. Check it out here:
Jordan's Town Art Gallery
I posted several of the things I've done over the years (mostly in support or as part of the design of my page)

Well #35 is up in my New Artz thread and just in time. Barron's birthday just suck in under the wire, 59th day of 60. So I figured some b-day art was in order. Congratz Barron and enjoy.
Only today and tomorrow left (until midnight) for my 60 day challenge/resolution. 35 down and five to go. Fenian is almost complete and that means I need at minimum 2 per day.
I'm going for the WIN!

Thats pretty cool.
Do you have any shots of the pc inside? Also does it have like a dvd-rom that ejects out it's backside?
-
How dare you steal refs from my thread!
Why you little....
hahaha kidding.
I saw that post of yours mentioning you wanted catgurls... there is always Sapphic Neko and Katfood here in the art forums... either of them might be up for it.
Oh and #34 is up in my New Artz Thread... I did say at some point that I would make an effort at some real horses (as opposed to unicorns) so I put up a trio of sketches.
Equestrians have at em.

Quote:If I had to hazard a guess what I meant by "Ahem" I'd say it meant that I, like Bayani, was teasing you.....But, I am a bit confused what you are talking about when you said...."...ahem"?
Ya know, it's somewhat less funny if I have to keep splain'n all this stuffz to ya. Sheeeesh

Quote:I have no formal training either (other than one life drawing class and the stuff I did in high school... both more than a decade ago) nor do I have a vast library of art book (though the internet helpsWell not real in the sense that I have no idea what I'm doing. I have a general sense of what it should look like and granted I get better over time (look back at comics 1-3 sheesh), but my approach is like brute force. I have no classes, no books, I'm just hoping to learn little by little by doing it. My only training is the comic itself
I'll think about coloring the artwork, I'm interested in seeing it too, though who can say how soon I'll get to that. If there's anything amazing about me, it's only that I've managed as much as I have with as little time as I have (wife/4kids/job/sidejob/webdesign/actual PLAYING the game now and then).) and I was not born with a gift for drawing as it seems some people are... I am, for all intents and purposes, self taught.
Does that make me not a "real artist" either?
Quote:Looks like he's 7 sketches away from completing the goal... so it couldn't hurt to read his sign, go to his other thread, and post the references. He may finish the 40 even after the deadline... And I certainly don't expect him to stop drawing altogether after the 1st... So worst case, you post some references that get ignored. Best case, you eventually get free arts. *shrug*

If I had to hazard a guess I'd think Bayani means you copied him by going to Kevin Sharpe for some pencils after he did it first...
it's also like word play on cats, as in your eponymous character, and copy cuz you... ahem,
yeah that's probably what he's talking about.
-
And you fixed the pucker lips I accidentally gave Garuk too.
I should probably sign it first and PM you the full size scan,
but by all means go ahead and post it in your gallery as fan art, I'd be honored.
I also mentioned if you feel up for collaborating you can go ahead and apply your
coloring style to is as well. I'd love to see how it would look finished.
P.S. Yeah, uh hunh... you've drawn your own avatar, you've written, drawn and colored a 25 page web comic...
I can totally see why you'd say your not a "real artist"... sheesh what a hack.

1. Clutch.
Captured the theme, pretty overt but at the same time suggestive if you think on it a moment (Domi is just Ms. Liberty just from a another dimension... she's spanking herself, get it?). It's got love and pink hearts, it's got pinup elements, it's got lesbian spanking... what's not to love?
2. Juggertha.
Probably would've gone with Battlewraith here but since he has withdrawn (and call me crazy but I think once your out of the contest your piece should no longer be eligible to receive votes) I will just give him honorable mention. I will go with Juggertha instead. There are little things I could point out but most have been mentioned already... there is just something about Ms. Liberty's expression that wins me over, it's a whole other side of her we never get to see. The Kleenex was pretty funny too.
3.Pyro.
Shows a huge improvement from last month. Maybe Pyro always had the capability to do this (in which case you've been holding out buddy!) or maybe he just learned how recently but it pretty much leapfrogged what I am capable of digitally and shows lots of potential. Nicely done.
Other standouts Bindweed, U-naught, Frost and Caemgen (already mentioned BW/FD).

Nice work on the latest batch. I like Burnme's pose... very spidey-like and very clean lines for N-Forcer but I think High Lord Creep is my new favorite from you.
Is he some form of undead? The body is fleshed out and there are eyes in the sockets but the teeth are visible with no lips... he doesn't look to be a zombie as he isn't rotting or missing any chunks. Well it's a cool look either way.
-
Cool. I like the job you did on the bubble and the idea behind it is very intriguing as well.
I didn't notice anything on the globe indicating the assassin's origin though, I thought there would be a marker of some kind... maybe I need to use the download button to see the large version to find it.

#33 of 40 is a redesigned Pachamama. This is something of a first for me as I combined a drawing (head and hair) portion with a part created entirely in photoshop (torso)... the two parts aren't fitting together perfectly at the moment but I think the technique has merit I just need to practice it more. It was worth the time spent I think. Enjoy the version 2 Jophiel.

Quote:Here ya go U-Naught.Tartyrsause, that is one of the most disgusting things I have ever read on a forum, anywhere. and I find it offense to have a group of artists compared to such. not funny at all to me.
-
Sweet, that looks real nice now.
Quote:Thanks for the advice.
Orange! Why did I not think of that. I tried different variations of the red background trying to get a similar effect like the blue. It came out pinksih or as you see it. I should have thought of it.
Transparent too, that was the easiest part. Well really it all was, I guess.
