@BW: Welcome back man and gratz, it sounds like you scored some cool and off-the-beaten-path type art books.
Nice drawings there but did I read right that you actually had to resort to using a pencil... oh the humanity.

As for youbtaking credit for my cool arts (besides those you've done), well I don't even take credit for them since I'm just the money guy... If someone complimented character design I'd take limited credit on that (limited since I myself was limited to pre created costume pieces) but the artists get credit for the arts
Still, as I was saying earlier today, I totally appreciate the comments and critiques you've provided - they not only have pushed me to be more insistant about how I want things but also help me to learn what to look for in future drafts and such to try to cut off problems before they happen...
So ya, you can take some of any credit I may get even though I don't think i deserve any) and had you not come up with the concepts for them there would be no Caemgen, Fenian or Alpha to draw... I guess that makes you kinda like a facilitator of cool artz.
P.S. LOL @ Spidet... it's like Spiderman crossed with a Bidet hahahah.

You might consider working something like Cohemon into your April kid-themed FArt submission... if you don't have something already.

Actually have been buried in work with 3 custom pc builds, an upgrade, and a data recovery from a clients failed hard disk (I warned her to back up her stuffz) and one of the PC's is being uniquely challenging (read a pain in my backside lol) so I haven't been posting much or drawing in the last week or two. Good to be busy I guess...

You are certainly talented and capable of creating fantastic pieces (and have far more experience with digital paints than I do) but even my current favorite piece in Caemgen's gallery, that amazing shot of Caemgen on the tombstone by Androsym had glaring (to me anyway) flaws in it, like the tail hadn't been colored and... you know... that suspiciously phallic tombstone spooging in the background. 
Now that those things have been corrected it's much better (my opinion) and people can look at it without thinking man that's just amazing, if only the artist hadn't...

We all miss stuff in our own work, and most of what I saw was of the small detail variety... like the iris of Fenian's "camera left" eye is much bigger than the right one and looking in a different direction and she's missing an eyebrow and the bottom eyelash on that side as well etc. etc..,
I am certainly no exception to this (heck I had accidentally made my Fenian piece cross-eyed until Suichiro caught it) so I'm thankful when others here take the time to look over my stuff and point out what needs work so I can improve over time.
Caemgen is probably a little too laid back (or maybe lazy) in this regard and gives a lot of free reign to the artists and I'm kinda like the counterweight to that, I go over them with a more critical eye looking for what's amiss... as a result he ends up with some really cool and unique stuffz that still holds true to his character design.
By saying this I'm not taking any credit for the cool stuff in his gallery (well other than the two pieces that I created) that is all him and the respective artists he chose to commission.
Well if Tony Shaloob was more of an artist... and if he was trapped in a much younger, taller, more handsome and rockstar-ish body and nailing that cute blond assistant... then yeah... I could see that.Quote:Originally Posted by Caemgen

Yeah I feel fine Red.
There are things I like about the other two as well, I think clutch did a really good job with Caemgen's face for example, but I just see too many little things that bug me about them.
Since everyone is loving how they turned out though I didn't want to ruin the mood (so to speak) so I just commented on Alpha because there is nothing I see prominently amiss with it and I like it the best of the three... it's as close to art tactful as I can muster when I'm in Caemgen's thread lol.
It's like this piece here... it's an excellent digital painting job but once you see the googly eyes it dominates the image.
I'll just PM my thoughts on the others to Caemgen later.

Art by David Nakayama. It's an old piece...the first commission I've ever gotten actually. The original had Bayani punching Statesman but I wanted to the image of Bayani for a special page in the comic I'm working on. I had Eddy photoshop out Statesman and then manipulate the lines to align the figure more vertically; then he re-colored the piece. Looks ready for print now.
