@Ironik's first shot: Awesome screen cap! It's like they both went for the Coup De Grace but the Honoree is a half sec too slow.
2nd shot: Bwhahahaha...

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Airhead/Fairgo doesn't actually live in Texas.
...clearly he's just in town for the barbecue.

Quote:Wait is that what they are calling it these days? Thanks CR, I have been trying to lay off on the shading so I can line my pieces easier. My hubby has been helping me with the lining process and coloring a few pieces and leaving me to do the finer detail work, so hopefully I'll post those up soon Nothing brings a husband and wife together like coloring ^^
So you draw and then Eat does the inking and color flats then you go in and finish up with detailing?
So you guys are like an amateur Boris Vallejo/Julie Bell.
Okay now I'm jealous.

Nurse, i have a boo-boo down there... kiss it better?

Ahem, precisely.
@Healix: cool shot it looks like challenge issued and challenge accepted.

I miss the mid air tumble emote Kheldians used to have. Too bad they "fixed" it (yes sarcasm).
Sigh.
Nice pics Hyper... sure is fun to hit AV's with powers and actually see them get affected. I hit Ruladek the strong the other day with the Sands of Mu stream punch and he did the "Egads I'm being pummeled by a barrage of punches!" (okay that's not it's official title) animation where they shake and flop around... which on a god sized being looks hilarious.
How about... Ruladek the tenebrous instead
My tentacles were huge... just sayin.

Wow congrats on the new job and the comic commission!
Also Happy Belated Birthday. Sorry I missed it the forums haven't been letting me log in the last few days for some reason (all other sites and the game have been working fine though... go figure).
Heh I still laugh whenever I see it.

Issue 19 dropped... yeah it's pretty much been a non-stop party.
Welcome back Lexi.
(it actually got a little quiet for a bit {everyone playing the new content probably} but things are picking up again and a whole bunch of
new artists and art collectors cropped up recently so plenty to see... also there is a monthly art jam happening now)
-
Very cool. I like the pattern to it. The grays really make the colors on her hair and sunglasses pop.
Also happy belated birthday.
P.S. What's a Zombie "Elminator"?
(Misspelled "Eliminator" I'm guessing?) -
-
Some nice new additions there K.
@Neko: You speak as though you needed another reason?
@Caemgen: People seem to love the idea of Fenian in heels heh.

VexXxa has passed the torch to me so the theme this month will be...
The Rules:
1. Have fun!! (it's like mandatory n' stuffz)
2. The entries need to be posted by the last day of December.
3. This is NOT a contest and you don't have to be an artist. Anyone and everyone can post stuff.
4. If possible try and and work something "City of" related in the piece that ties into a holiday theme.
5. It can be any kind of art. For example: Drawings, finger paintings, a decorative cake, home-made Christmas tree ornaments, sewn plushy toys etc.
6. Pieces containing adult themes or nudity are fine but need to abide by the forums 2 click rule. If unsure, ask.
7. Although the theme is Christmas by all means if you celebrate something else (Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, Saturnalia, Non-denominational etc) feel free
to post art from that tradition too. All I ask is that you keep any inflammatory political/religious messages out of it. Cheers!
NOTE: Entering the Art Jam is not a monthly requirement. Each month is it's own separate event meaning you can participate in whatever ones inspire you.
No eliminations, no pressure and no commitment! So get posting people I can't wait to see what you come up with!
I will be passing the Art Jam Torch to someone else for the month of January. If you'd like to host the J A J, please let me know before the end of December.

Hey that's really nice Vex.
You are definitely developing a cool stylized way of doing long hair.
One small thing, the two vertical lines in the center of her neck should be more of
a V shape with the point coming down to the top of the ribcage/clavicle area.
A little bit of rotation on em and that's it, the rest is looking great
and I'm look forward to seeing more (moar artz nao!).

Quote:What specifically about the first one do you like better?I like your original swap button better CR
And totally and completely signed... I do this all this all the time so I feel your pain (literally)
The word "Swap" instead of showing the colors and their present state (i.e. which is the primary) or the placement of the button? Or having it on the other side of the bar?
I'm curious what people would make this more functional, for instance should it be right next to the colors for convenience or further away so it's not in the way?

Quote:Funnily enough it was Pohsyb that thought it was a great idea (but has done nothing with it since) when I first sent it to him.Code Analysis time!
Let's assume costume colors are in a variable. Because that would be logical and the only way I can think of keeping track of them.
[code]
Make a new temp variable (of type color) assign color 1 to it.
assign color 2 to color 1
assign colorTemp to color 2.
Add a nifty button. done.
PMing to pohsyb ... now.
Whipped up a new iteration of the swap button. I think it fits in better with the design and my thought would be to have it show the primary color in the top half and the secondary in the bottom and when you click the button the colors would invert. Even without the word swap the act of the colors flipping (while they also change on your outfit) I think would make it instantly clear what the button does to those unfamiliar with it. It's also closer to the color buttons this way so less mouse movement to get to it.
Which do you guys think is better?

Quote:Just wanted to point out that piece is actually done by Manic Goose and not by TSp.GQ! I really love how you've been shaping your collection! I most especially love the creativity of your final piece for Mr. Halloween by TheSteampunker! This is definitely the standing Masterpiece of your Mr. Halloween collection!!
TheSteampunker is actually Goblin Queen's name on DA.
P.S. It may sound strange but I am totally jealous of the background of that piece.

Quote:This is very well done Henri. I like that while little Tommy's costume is similar it actually looks like a "child safe" version of a hero costume you could buy at a storeJust been messing about staging some screenshots and stuff and thought i'd post one or two. What i'm attempting to do is to try and tell a story just in one screenshot.
I'm calling this one, 'Little Tommys best day EVER!'
like it?
("Hey kids, wanna look just like Ultra Magnificent Man?! Now j00 can! All for the low low price just 800,000 influ. *brought to you by Icon brand*)
His suit looks to be cloth while the hero's is metal, safely rounded shoulder pads while the hero has the ridged justice ones,
short generic red cape vs. long flowing red cape with stars, etc etc.
Although the "eat" emote with the donut does work (like he stopped in the middle of eating to look up and see his hero)
perhaps the kid could be doing one of the surprised/amazed/confused emotes? or possibly /e bigwave?
What really cracks me up is that while little Tommy is showing he wants to be a hero when he grows up the little kid in the blue pants off to the side is clearly practicing
the "ebil duck walk" that all villains do when they meander about... there's like a visual metaphor for future generations
as a whole in there somewhere n' stuffz, were I but clever enough to grasp it.
How's that for telling a story in a single image?
*Sidenote: jeez I'm in a philosophical mood today*
*edit: Okay it was pointed out to me that referring to the "other kid" as colored might be offensive to some (really in this day and age?).
The thought actually never crossed my mind being that I have light brown skin myself and was born in another part of the world.
The phrase has no negative connotation to me and I think anyone who knows me will know I meant nothing by it.

Happy Thanksgiving right back to you Envy and to all the 606. It's been a year now since I "discovered" this forum and while it has had its ups and downs I'm very glad to have found it. There are a lot of great people here who helped inspire me to start drawing again after so many years away and for that I am very thankful.
Cheers everyone.

...and now I have another thread to watch.
Don't let it worry you if you never learned digital art, there are several traditional artists here (myself included though I am trying to learn) that are novices to digital. One thing I'm finding useful is Livestream. Several digital artists will record themselves painting live and you can hop on the stream, watch and ask questions.
*Sidenote: Helps if you use Firefox or another browser with add blocking plugins though... I've never actually seen the adds but I've heard from some they get annoying after a while.*
P.S. You're off to a good start (I really like her expression and the way her hair turned out) and I look forward to what you come up with next. Two things I am curious about... it looks almost like there is a face in the chair behind her (right next to her head) is that intentional? Also is that blood running down the wall in the background?
-
*has a sudden inexplicable craving for Hershey's chocolate kisses*

Quote:Yeah it's what all the cool kids are doing n' stuffz.Making a thread that is continually updated seems to be the thing to do around here so I figured I'd saddle up onto that particular bandwagon
...............
Can't speak for NCsoft but many many people have posted fan art of cannon characters including me (although I asked War Witch for her permission before doing this one because she is both a character and a real person/dev) and I've not seen anyone get modsmacked for it yet. This is the official forum so if it could be done anywhere it's here.
If the subject matter is questionable or if you are unsure just PM a mod and ask.
P.S. The guy who was "Statesman" Jack Emmert is gone from the company and went to go work on that "other game" so if you want to draw him getting stepped on by Jack in Irons' big smelly muppet feet... or getting hit by a bus made of enchanted impervium... or getting his nose batted about by Amerikatt etc I say go for it!
...about to be kissed is ok too, I guess.
P.P.S. Yay new artz!
-
Well I didn't give step by step instructions in the earlier post (didn't know what program you were using) I just mentioned it would come up eventually and that it is better to make a decision about about stuff like that sooner than later (so you make more work for yourself when you end up redoing it later). I tried to touch on a lot of the stuff you will run into with a thread of this kind as a heads up.
P.S. It doesn't take long to resize them, just a few seconds each... I do it automatically now and don't even think about it. Redoing all those links on the other hand might be a little time consuming. Smartest thing to do is leave the file names exactly the same either in a separate folder or change the large file names so the smaller 1024 files keep the current names. Not sure how Tinypic works but Photobucket (which I use) lets you swap out a file and keep all links that point to it intact.

No not at all.

*Sidenote: That dual-pistols-wieldin' zombie-face-blastin boob-physics-displayin' avatar is pretty awesome PS...
that bit at the end where they pop up as 2D "ducks in a row" target practice dummies is hilarious*
