Another thought on Positron, depending if you are talking about pre or post Rikti Portal incident,
is that even though he stands in Steel Canyon now with his helmet off before the Dark Watcher restored his
physical body he was perpetually trapped inside his suit unable to ever take it off lest he destroy everyone and everything nearby.
It may be a real challenge to do so but if you've ever heard music that conveyed a theme of being trapped
or isolated or restrained, perhaps some overtones of that could be incorporated as well.

I personally think Genzo goes too far sometimes in that all his textures (even fur) tend to have the same glossy look and that can make some of
the images kinda plastic-y looking (like when all the metal armor, cloth and skin in a picture have the same shiny properties)
but it's the style he's known for and he's an amazing painter regardless, definitely worth a look see.

When it's at home? At home it's usually on the couch wearing a white tee-shirt
with it's feet up on the coffee table and it's hand tucked in the waistband of it's trousers... oh wait that's Al Bundy.
Umm... it's more like a place to post cool arts and fan made stuffz for people to gawk at and yammer on about.
There are actually several other (5-6 in recent memory) fan made comics that have all been posted there so yours is like the odd one out.

Think about it this way... if that bag were missing and it wasn't a piece you painted but rather something you were seeing now for the first time, would you know that it was Statesman on vacation?
Some things that might've helped... on that rock just to the right of Statesman could have been resting his red cape, his boots could've been leaning against the rocks, in his hand, as he's looking down at it, could've been his iconic metal half helm/faceplate facing back up at him (suggesting that even though he is on vacation his "job" is never far from his mind). Spilling out of the bag could've been a beach towel with the Freedom Phalanx logo on it, on his shorts could've been a single large white star etc. etc.
Your chosen concept, how you portray that month's theme, what style you choose, the way you tie it in to Coh... these can all be factors in addition to the quality of the work.
Spend some time thinking about them and I think you may do better going forward.

Well he is a Radiation Blaster so maybe some inspirational notes punctuated by percussive blasts throughout... something like the 1812 Overture (not necessarily the melody or pacing but the booms)

I can also see many improvements over your last offering Liz and there are some nice intricate details
added so congratz on that but don't let another 6 months go by, you should really keep after it...
even VexXxa is passing you in the pencil artz department, and she's like slow n stuffz.
P.S. I kid of course, it's not a race but the more often you practice the faster you will see improvement.
What do you think would help inspire you more?

So if it's a digital FArt is it an exact copy then with no loss of audio quality
from the origi... errrr never mind. That's pretty nifty looking OV.

I don't think there was anything wrong with your choice of style DD,
just some really stiff competition this time from Lousy (and now Liz too).
Also the last two months I haven't updated the notice threads (I think someone not participating in the
contest should be doing this) reminding people from other parts of the forums to come
and vote so we've had a lower turnout and less votes to go around.

Not sure if it helps but I did a bunch of hand studies a while back and this one, although it's facing the other way
(and is a hand instead of a glove) is pretty close to what you were going for so I went ahead and posted it in my thread.

Zombie rules and other stuff aside for the moment I'm surprised no one is mentioning the fact that this is an MMO Art.
Thought he was on the do not commission list for stealing hundreds of dollars of peoples money and disappearing without delivering anything in return.
Has there been new info or developments you might share with the other collectors here (or was it never a problem for you getting what you paid for out of him)?

Hey there Ruby, glad to see you taking a shot at drawing. Not sure the above background suits the character that well... is GG known
for playing cards or is it just a resemblance to the joker card that is the tie-in? Also the scratch pattern is okay but
it's kind of obscuring stuff more than it's anchoring the figure and the composition could be a bit
better (i.e. why is their black space around the one hand but not the other?
why is the lower corner dark?) arranged as well.
I would ask does the character have any powers or auras?
That might be a better place to start and if you are going to go with cards maybe just the 2 joker cards artfully arranged would work better.
Or you could try some either complimentary or contrasting colors (depending if you want the figure to blend in or jump out).
Finally I would point out the drawing is pretty good overall except GG's right hand which could use a little touching up.
The finger/joints are a little jumbled and it sticks out kinda like...
wait for it...
a sore thumb.

Being that I almost never go redside I recognize all of the locations but some very cool screenshots here. The tugboat is my favorite, that would make a great desktop background (except for the sunlight is actually shining through the ship with no shadow cast on the water).

Cool. Not sure I know who these characters are but I like the
mixture of gradients and patterns you used here.

Anyone else notice that the jeweler frozen in a block of ice inside the store is Alex himself.
Also the license plate reads Caemgen.

Looks like the server merger is really going to happen. Two days from now is the tentative date (May 2nd)
they posted so all 15 servers should be accessible from the login screen.
There is a half price sale on character transfers (move to a new server but keep your stuff)
but it conveniently(?) ends the day before the merger is scheduled.
Just wanted to say welcome to DD, Neko, Henri and all our EU friends. I normally play on Liberty (& also Virtue)
if any of you guys want to make some new heroes and run some missions for fun.
Edit: Yep it got pushed back a bit but it's now a reality, servers are now merged!
