Yeah it's the whole deadlines thing that throws a wrench into the works for me.
Sometimes it seems I have all the time in the world (never lasts lol) and other times it's like I don't have 5 minutes to myself. I can throw up the wip of it so far but yeah it wasn't gonna get done in time... It'll be a neat trick if I get the time I want to do justice to my FArt piece this month (edit: blah blah stuff going on in RL blah blah).
True it's not original but it is funny that I've done dozens of give away arts, many for birthdays, and I've not thought of doing a cake jump (partially because it's such a cliche) but the one time I think to do it anyway it comes up in the birthday thread lol.
The FArt one was just like "YES! I have a clever idea for this theme that no one's gonna see coming!" Of course it got posted as an offhand comment shortly thereafter. There's like 78 cards in a tarot deck! What were the odds lol.
(I have since put a different, and I hope, unique spin on the idea that I like even better so hopefully that pans out)
Then there was my brilliant (I thought) idea of doing Airhead as Rodan's "The Thinker" sitting on an activated Rikti bomb. I finished the roughs and got started on the final piece just in time to see the finished Airhead as "The Thinker" by Rhardo get posted.
Okay I'm rambling now (it's been a long day/week/month) and it's not even my thread.
It probably is just me.

P.S. There is only one native food one need concern oneself with when in Italy... Gelato!

Yes it works okay. What would help sell it better for me would be, now that you reduced the sphere of the handclap, have the fire reacting to the leading edge of the blast. i.e. the fire in the lower right should come up a bit from the ground and then bend down and away from the hero in a cascading arc where it meets the trailing edge of the outgoing clap fx.
Another thing that would help is seeing the stream of fire coming from the flamethrower (presumably) offscreen. That would help depict it as an attack on him rather than him being the source of the flames (like he activated Hot Feet or something)
P.S. My first guess upon seeing the earlier image was that he had just unleashed the Autobot Matrix of Leadership (33 seconds in) while standing in a campfire.

Also I agree some of the coolest fx are only on the screen for a split second but if you time
your capture right you might see something like this come from the Sands of Mu punch attack.

It was going to be a one-up of last years but I've lacked the time to finish it
these last few days so it's just a half drawn pencil sketch atm.
This is an odd trend lately people are guessing (whether they know it or not) what I'm working on before I even say a peep.
Someone already guessed the basic idea I'm using for my FArt entry too... sup wit dat! lol
P.S. Can't speak for FoxRox but I found traditional style pizza in Italy to be nothing at all like what it is here in the states.
No cheese baked into the crust, no choice of a bazillion toppings etc etc those are decidedly American variations.
Their traditional pizza is very plain by comparison, but still tasty in it's own way. -

I thought it was the top three (and indeed a little further down
the page rule 6 says top three as well) has something changed or it's just a typo?

Lousy Day bows out of the FArt about this same time every year as he has classes starting up and while I never like to seem him drop (even though he regularly crushes everyone in the votes lol) it's to be expected and there are usually a few who go due to time constraints or RL stuff (Techbot?) but I hope that's it.

That's actually some very convincing cloth (looks a bit shiny like silk or satin sheets) and the figures coloring is looking good so far.

Side note on the color for Jaccob, I had nothing to by when I put color to it. So I used the GE SG uniform as a tinplate & just had some fun with it.
I soooo want that cape with the glowing runes. It would totally match my black and red rune blades.
