  1. With the right group it could be a fun/interesting topic for conversation/debate... or it could become a flamewar lol.

Either way I agree Night's thread is not the place for it so I'll just say
there are some nice compositions and paint-overs here.
    Cheers!

As I did a background for CR's drawing of Dee, it is CoH related...and that is why I shall post it here

A bubbly pinkish background for Dee!

There is no such thing as too much pink!
    Drat!
See that right there works better than all the backgrounds
I came up with. Nice work DD.

  3. Is that a sad emo eating a happy meal?
  4. That's pretty damn sweet Erudin.
Farlow certainly knows his comic style busts.

    Gonna get it colored?

I think what he means is if you handed him a pencil and set of
paintbrushes (or say a wacom tablet +photoshop) and asked him to create an image like this...

    that he couldn't.

@Sakiya: By "paint over" I'm guessing he means that he's using the premade characters, items and lighting effects,
that come with the 3D programs and then making adjustments to make them look more like they fit the City of Heroes theme.

It does take creativity and skill, and there is certainly an art form to arranging a compelling scene by setting the character positions,
lighting and tone of a piece to tell a particular story, it just falls more under the umbrella of content manipulation than content creation.

    My .

Thank you for taking the time to color it.

    That's gotta be Silver Mantis.

    Lime's Artzy

    Figured she just misspelled it.
  9. Looking good Henri.
George and Patrick totally should've gone with orange crosses too.

That's just so British Hero can feel the wind in his hair... errr rushing past his helmet that is,
and hey with no bugs to scrape off the windshield, it's a time saver too.
  10. I love the coloring work and the lightning effect.

  11. Okay then.
Well she's an Illusion/Empathy Controller with a petite frame, white skin, white hair and large golden eyes...
I can see how you would forget those details though. It's not like she reminds you of anyone you are used to drawing.
  12. Yeah I can totally see how she would go cross-eyed trying to stare at them all day too...
Or maybe she's just looking at the angel.

Yeah it's probably the second thing.

Hey one of her eyes is the wrong col... curses! Beaten to it.

P.S. Hmm they are censoring the word Alec now???
Must be cuz of the Baldwins. *nods*

    BrandX's Art!

Ooh it's the "make a peace on one side to distract her
so you can cop a feel on the other side technique." Classic!
    **takes notes**

P.S. love the way he/she is using soft white lines and zig zags to suggest the folds in the cloth,
the more little details that read right the more compelling the image.
Gratz on another cool piece Brand.
    Cheers
  16. Hey welcome back Rockmar, just in time for the holidays.
Have a go at Xllusya if you like.

Click the pic for larger image or the link above it for a slideshow.
More shots and artz of her on my DA page if ya need.

I may have to do a fan-dub of the entire movie just so I can have you do the voice of Unicron. Seriously, those lines you sent me were like Orson Well Orgasmic.
Your bargaining posture is highly dubious!

Yeah one of my favorite movies of all time and I can quote most of the scenes off the top of my head.
Whenever I catch a cold or get a sore throat my voice goes way deep and I walk around rumbling like Unicron... or singing Barry White.
It's cool you picked up on that.

For those that don't know what we are talking about this is Orson Welles as Unicron.
  18. Wow didn't know Ghost Widow dolls were that popular.
Awesome that this all for a good cause to boot.
  19. Sent 3 different samples.
Not sure how it will mix with Phillygirl's voice but have fun tinkering.

    Pretty.
Don't sweat it, your lines will get more sure with practice.

    Still, I guess he's going back on the Shelf again. I think I'll wait and see what Dark Affinity is going to be like before I decide how to reroll him, again. -_-;
The staffs never lose value on most builds as far as I am concerned. Very few builds I've seen can make them truly obsolete (speaking blueside here since I don't play villains... like ever).

Pssst... if no one ever told you, Global Accuracy affects all your attacks, even unslottable ones. My staffs do not miss (5% rule aside).
