I just got first one I tried, thanks!
Been wanting to try this aura out for a while now.
Cheers!

Phew. I was going to read the rest of the stories up there, glad you have it taken care of DD.

Hey welcome back LD.
*goes to wander through Wes's gallery*
-
That's looking really sweet H3nRi. *Goes off to look at full size*
Is that a middle finger?
-
"Were there monkeys? Some terrifying space monkeys maybe got loose?"
It is this quiet. Had you been watching my thread at all recently
you'd have see me talking about this for some time now.

Welcome back H3nRi... again.
F.Y.I. Speaking from long experience hard disk drives are rarely completely unsalvageable,
data reconstruction cost prohibitive perhaps but rarely is the data totally gone.

The face does stick out (the rest of the piece makes it seem overly simplistic) to my eye as well.
Maybe you should redo it. It's been over a year now I'm sure you could improve upon it.
-
Let me guess... after repeated reminders and a bunch of pink post-it notes
someone still forgot to pay the base upkeep and the porters shut off?

It can be done with just colors and shapes, it's tricky if, like me (coming from a
pencil/pen background), you are used to having lines define your edges but it can be a fun challenge.

Indeed.
Your reworked nose looks even better than the one I suggested and it's better anchored to the face (it was floating
a bit before and facing forwards instead of ¾ view) and the arm is much improved without losing it's stylized comic look.
The chest is more proportionate, the far shoulder is (correctly) partially visible and the shirt collar more believable.
The shadows of the face and neck are more in line with the rear lighting as well. Great touch-ups DD.

Shadows are good.

Fireheart
My goal was not to redraw everything the very best I could in my own style and take over.
This was never going to be a collab, it's all DD's piece, I just wanted to draw attention to a few of the areas that
I thought she could improve/learn from and show visually what I might do differently. Asked her first before posting it as well.
Think of it as a red-lining... without the red lines.
Cheers!

Not very lineless but looking real nice so far.

Did a bit of tinkering with the anatomy... it's not from ref or anything too detailed but just
to give a rough idea the arm should be closer to this. Also did a little touchup
on the eyes, rotated the nose a bit and extended the neck shadow.
Nice artz though DD, hope this helps

An actual leather jacket? Hahahaha nice!
Also the glowing invention cube is very clever.

Welcome back Crestent!
Whether your thread title should read "From" or "Too" might be debatable but welcome nonetheless.
Looking forward to seeing what new art you come up with, or if you meant that
collaboratively there are a couple of new pieces in this thread you could have a go at.
Myself, I'm doing fine, (a quick look at my lone DA journal will tell you what the last few
months have been like though) am in good spirits and currently working on a new drawing.

Alex has some new tricks up his sleeve it seems.

However there is a duality to Tūmatauenga:
Sometimes I slip up and use scientific terminology.
Cool good to know.
Reminds me a bit of that show Deadliest Warrior.

Maybe you should speak to Chris Jenkins.

And yeah, ech, being in the UK, pounds is obviously my prefered currency, and having prices in fives seems like a nice, even way of doing things...
Silly Euro and Dollars....we should have kept conquering, darnit!
Problem is, I'm going to run into whacky numbers either way. If I put stuff up in Dollars, then the Euro and Pound numbers are, well, decimal. And the same putting them in Euros.
Gaah. Will have to see what I can do...So, yeah, will put up a dA link when I have something to work with >_<
Tell me about it.
My thread averages 100-200 daily pageviews... 1-3 posts maybe. Some days 4 or 5, some days zero.
I guess set it for the currency/region where you think the majority of your business will originate.
