    The same as ChrisMoses I was thinking of posting this yesterday in the forums after I embedded the trailer, but in my case, I just forgot. ^_^;

This will give me something scary to watch on Halloween night.
It will be the most interesting thing to happen on Halloween in a looooong time.

Oh. The guy who made xXx?

Best to give up hope now.

Maybe they'll bring Fraction or Brubaker on to consult. Maybe that will save it.
  3. I was sticking my head in the sand and pretending that story didn't exist.

    YOU RUINED MY OSTRICH-MANUEVER!
  4. Oh, anything would be better. I have a Sony Vaio from 2004 (when I bought it to play this game!).

I've upgraded the RAM a few times and the graphics card, but I can't recall what my updates exactly were and I'm currently at work and can't check.

I think your most recent example was good, Father Xmas, but if we could drop that by $100 or $200, I could validate it to the wife a lot easier.
  5. I saw this at another forum I frequent, and while I disagree with it, it's funny.

  6. I knew I shoulda posted this yesterday!

    It looks so great.
  7. And all was right in the galaxy.
  8. Dude, I'm an idiot. Don't worry about it.

Alright, I'll explain so hopefully some of you guys can avoid the future public facepalm. SAVE YOURSELVES.

My indignation was based upon an assumption that NCSoft charged your account immediately when you applied a new month.

However, that isn't the case... They wait until whatever time you currently have to run out before they charge it.

I didn't quite realize this at the time. or I realized it at some point in the past and had forgotten.

In my outrage at seeing "Next Billing Date: Sept. 6," I didn't think that "oh, they must not have charged me right now," but instead "They charged me immediately and now they're going to charge me again in two weeks! INEXCUSABLE!"

I actually did the legwork and checked my account before the assumption, at least... However, I had recently bought one of the bonus packs, and as soon as I saw a charge from NCSoft on my recent transactions, I thought it was for the new month... Neverminding the fact that it was for $5 less than the month would have been.

Someone post a good fail picture for me.
  9. I'm an idiot.

    That is all.

    Disregard thread.

  10. Haha, a friend's wedding, to which I declined attending.

    SO SHE SAYS!
  11. I've already asked Support, but I'm afraid of what they'll say so I wanted to preemptively discuss it here, to understand what the mindset is.

I canceled my account just under two years ago, and it was inactive until August 6th (8/6), when I received an e-mail offering me a free gametime and an in-game jetpack for one month, to which I promptly renewed.

As I was curious, I took it.

I'm having fun in my return, but nothing extraordinary. However, my wife is going out of town the weekend of 9/10, and I decided that it would be a fun weekend to spend in the Rogue Isles/Paragon. So I checked my account to see that my account is only playable until 9/6. Oh no!

So I bought a one month subscription at $14.99...

And my account still says it expires on 9/6.

The e-mail I was sent says my next payment will be due on 9/6.

    Is that intended?

If so, what the eff for?

Is it not logical that the paid time would be applied at the point that my free time would expire?

If not, wouldn't it be almost as logical too apply the month from the date at which it was bought, therefore the account would then expire one month from today, on 9/25?

On what planet is it logical for me to have basically just wasted $14.99 and not gotten anything in return?

Thanks. I'm waiting for a response from Support, but I'm fuming at the proposition of just wasting my $15 for no reason and needed to get some sort of explanation, reasoning or understanding.
  12. Boost Range increases width?

I've started it, and I've got the eyes. I don't know what it is, but the attack feels slow to me, and I guess I just don't care for the animation. I'll probably stick with it over Neutrino though; I have that on my Corrupter, where I feel it's better used with the Scourging.
  13. Sounds like somebody has had a rough time in Snowy Toronto!

I was really enjoying the 616 Punisher for the first time in forever with Fraction writing it. Then he left and I hung on for a bit... But then the Punisher became Frankenstein and I was out.
  15. Yeah, I'm simple. I don't need to be kickin' out massive gigahertz and jiggawatts and other things I don't know what I'm talking about.

A good, but pared down from top-of-the-line systems is about what I'm looking for.

Something just above average would be great.

But again, it comes with the OS which I don't need.

Also, I could do open-box for $720. Any common drawbacks with doing so?
  16. ChrisMoses

    Need ideas....

What schedule do you guys do these on?
  17. I've hated everything "Ultimate' with Loeb's name on it.

Scrath that. I've hated ever non-Batman, non-"Color" (Hulk: Grey, Spider-Man: Blue), non-Tim Sale collaboration that Loeb has done.
  18. How so? Does it have different attacks, or are the animations intentionally slowed down?

As for pairing, I'm not sure which direction I would like to go. I have a Stone/Willpower Brute, so probably not that way. How is Claws/Elec?
  19. I haven't enjoyed the Ultimate Universe since the reboot, but I'm still reading it.

Millar's Ultimates are more "xtreme," Spider-Man has a more kid-friendly tone and Ultimate X is just... shudder...
  20. This is the first I've heard of this series. Explain?

I'm at work and can't watch the video at this time. I will when home, but I'm impatient.

Also, quickly before this thread messes around and gets deleted.
  21. The genres listed on the back of the book are Comedy/Action/Romance.

So the romance is definitely in there... But since the book focuses a lot more on the relationship than the movie, it's more fitting there.

I would probably call is just a comedy. I wouldn't ever think to classify it as action since most of the action is of a comedic nature.

I'd also just call Eternal Sunshine a drama.

Maybe I'm just trying to convince myself that two of my favorite movies, one recent and one all-time, aren't rom-coms.
  22. I still dislike calling either movie Rom-Coms...

But I never thought Joel and Clementine would have lasted. It's still a great movie though.
  23. Spider-Man has had a ton of bad villains.

    The White Rabbit.

    The Grizzly.

    The Gibbon.

    Pretty much anyone animal-themed.
