  1. Woah, it got later pretty quickly... I'd better sleep and keep reading things tomorrow.. Goodnight, and thanks for all the responses!
  2. That's... a lot of links! But there are five I haven't read or heard of, so.. High five for internet problem-solvers!

So, what specifically do you love about your favorite?

And I do mean any of you! Tell me!
  3. I probably should have mentioned that I'm also picky D:

Anyway, Dominic Deegan, Doctor McNinja, Erfworld and Questionable Content are all on my watchlist. SMBC isn't as frequent, but yep, love it too! I can spend some time catching up on whatever's been added since my last check; I've forgotten to recently.

    Least I Could Do... werlll... I... I just don't like Ryan Sohmer's work. >_>

Awesome Hospital I have not heard of until now! And it looks like I had better read it because... Awesome!

You know, I'm starting to see a bit of a theme in recent up-and-coming webcomics. Absurdity (hopefully without the devolution into "monkey cheeze") seems to be making another comeback. And these Absurdites seem to keep grounded, whether through a central theme or character or something of the sort. What I mean is stuff like Axe Cop, or comic-I-just-was-spotted-to-yesterday Manly Guys Doing Manly Things.. that's sort of what I'm saying? Anyway, time to check out Awesome Hospital to wherever it currently is!

Thank you all for the suggesting, and keep it up! ^^

EDIT: Brawl In the Family sort of ended up in my "good enough that I liked reading it and read everything it had to offer but not quite on the list of checking it". So I do agree that it is amusing!

Ah, Order of the Stick! I LOVE it when a comic can mush together entrancing and epic storyline and the ability to still have little jokes strewn about. It's great writing!

But.. been there, read that, bought the board game, re-read it again a bit too recently to do that again.
  5. See, here's my thing: I'm sick, I don't have a lotta energy, I can't go anywhere... I just need to bloody READ something. I'm going out of my mind here!

I'm gonna admit, I am rather a fan of webcomics in general. But there comes a point where it gets really hard to find something good I haven't already read (or even already follow). I hit that point months ago! Maybe I'm missing a genre or two. Maybe I'm missing a hidden gem, or something way out in the open that I somehow didn't see...

So! Talk about webcomics. Talk about how much you like your favorite ones. And for the love of everything, talk about them before I pass out from boredom!

This... how did I not think to ask of this first? This is one of those things that would open up a whole new WORLD of awesome.
Another, of course, being Implements. I know they're coming, some day in the future. But the sooner the better, everyone will love being able to blast lightning out of a staff or fire from some bizarre alien technology.

Anyway, while Dechs makes some awesometacular suggestions with every word...

I think that at this time, attending to gripes would be more efficient than cool new things as far as making the most people happy possible goes. So I scoured my brains for gripes that I have (and they are hard to remember!) and will throw them out here, amongst those who dislike fire swords and gun-fu (those nutcases =/ )

I... I can't handle the chest-thumping animation.. I only turn on integration while mid-superjump. The aura of the power itself if gorgeous, but... ugh the ridiculous thumping and howling! And my dark and brooding antihero-type friends would really like Moment of Glory to not look so dorky. Though I am fine with it!

Blazing Aura aggravates my eyes. Such a bright bloody pulsing monstrosity it is.. I colored it in muted smoky steam colors so that I can at least play the character.. but seriously, it needs loving!

It took me a long time to get accustomed to walking ice cubes. Ice Armor/Cold Domination could use some kind of form-fitting icy sheens, or more Hoarfrost-style effects, or... just some animation that at least admits that there's a character in there somewhere, you know?

Weapon sets in general. Oh how I have tried to like them. How I would love a talsorian weapon, or rularuu's fangs. But the powersets are just. so. BLAND! The powers themselves are a mass exodus of boringites from boringia, and the animations are just as bad! Maybe, just maybe, I could stand it with a new array of animations to play with. I'm begging you.. please.. do it for me!
  7. Improved Map. I'd like to be able to toggle off Merit Vendors (actually, make them DEFAULT to off too. >_<), so that I can better explain to a newbie how to find things on the map. That's just painful. As an added bonus, let your team see a Thumbtack you put on the map (and make the thumbtack use the same color as your random name color!)

Small thing, but a good map makes entering a new zone or just being a new player far easier. The Merit Vendors really messed the map up.

Also, mousewheel zooming on the map.

Ooh, and a filter option to turn on highlights of Day Job Areas.
  8. Yep, the 14-day free trial has a painful level cap on it. Man, I hate how butchered the trial is. D:
  9. Argh! I spend so much time leaping aimlessly across buildings that I have not actually been in Atlas Park much. This has obviously been a grave error! It will be un-errored!

See, now that there is just plain awesome.
Personally, I've been meaning to make a character who was bitten by a radioactive vending machine.
  12. I.. I don't think I understand the concept of such a channel. I mean... What?

    Is that even possible?

This.. opens up a whole new world of possibilities...

Excuse me, I'm off to the copyright office. Gotta nab the rights to an Airless Clubhouse. :P

(Presumably that is who all the Rouge Angles out there are serving. )
I am the owner of Rouge Angle of Satin on Virtue.
    Namehoarder-- PUNCH!

Aaaanyway. I am also disturbed by bios that don't connect to the character's name in the slightest. It's just.. it's so disappointing, when there are so many far more hilarious backstories you could do with a wacky name. Instead we get these abominations, people who try to be "random". That's not random. That is what we in the business call "monkey cheeze"
  14. Pohsyb! Can you make the Set Type an IO is easier to spot? It's sorta in the middle of a data mash. Maybe right below the set name, and color-coded? Pretty please?

I would love that so much

    Team Poll

My one rule is a little more specific.

"Everyone fights the enemies, NOT each other"

Cause I really, really hate arguments, whether they're the "u suk" kind or the passive aggressive ******** kind.

On-topic? Eh. Comic Sans is a widely used font that I happen to not be a fan of. But it could be worse, as I find it perfectly readable. It could be some beserif'd monstrosity.

Call me a horrible person, but I rather like Trebuchet MS myself. Nice of this forum to include it! ... Not that I'll actually bother putting it in my posts, default is fine by me.
  17. I make it a point to stop and send an eloquent complimenty tell to anyone I see whose costume is just incredible. It really makes their day, and that, in turn, encourages them to compliment others, and it just chain-reacts until everyone dies from happiness.

    In theory, at least.

Either way, I'd like to point out one awesome dude, but I forget his name. All I know is that I was in Icon showing my friends some of my favorite costumes I had, and I saw this golden-age hero guy outfit, electric in black and fluorecent orange. It looked FANTASTIC and I had to stop what I was doing to praise him. Normally golden/silver-age hero outfits bore me to death.

    Clone bug?

It seems to me that there are a number of ways that the clones are created. Did the arc with my friend, who had a blue labcoat with white trim. The evil clone's labcoat was black with blue trim, and honestly it really looked the part of an evil clone! His pants on the other hand, were just reverse-colored.

Also his evil clone took the Electric Manipulation damage aura while he didn't, which is OBVIOUSLY evil.

    Just started

Here's a bonus tip I like to give out when I'm talking to someone about game mechanics!

    Q: Does it stack?
A: Yeah, so long as it's not a Target-Other power being used repeatedly by a single person on the same target.

You can't put a Deflection Shield on one person a bazillion times, but if you and three other people all use Deflection Shield? Yeah, it stacks.

If you have a lot of Recharge speed and cast Ice Armor's Energy Absorption several times? All that self-defense stacks.

The ONLY buff I can think of that doesn't work like that is Vengeance. It's crazy-strong enough that honestly, why would you want it to?
  20. Oh man! This is a detailful question. Currently I own GvE, Valkyrie, and Magic only. Because I do not have all that much spare cash, you know? Monthly fees are doable, more gets quite iffy (Yay job this weekend so I can preorder GR and maybe get a booster too!)

Most Used Costumes: Valkyrie Pack. Obviously it's one of the three I own, as the ones I have are the ones I felt looked coolest. Both the Valk and GvE packs have excellent costume bits that can easily be combined with other stuff in the game- and that's a big deal to me. I don't wanna be wearing just the whole Witch set, you know? Gotta make something cool out of everything!

The Valk stuff is so sleek and I love how it mixes with even basic tights and with skin options. Justice and Sinister can both look freaking awesome with many options, but I don't use them quite as much. Magic has great stuff too, but it's harder to blend, apart from the AWESOME LONG GLOVES! Gotta find how to use that witch skirt, hrm...

I'm certain I would use the crap out of some of the wedding pack stuff, but it's another "not sure I'd use enough to be worth it" deal. Also, even though I don't make male characters, this would put me in the "way too many damn suits" zone.

Best Powers: We all know the Valk and GvE powers are friggin awesome. And I'd LOVE to get Ninja Run, but I'm not sure I'd use the Martial Arts pack costume bits enough to justify it to myself. They seem a bit bland to me, and while that helps with combining with other sets... there's too much of a good thing. Maybe something will change my mind on that.
I really wish I had self-destruct, but I have basically no desire for anything else in the cyborg pack. A pity.

Emotes!: Oh man. I love juggle magic/fire/lightning, and the card trick followed by 52-pick-up is amazing. The lightning and spin and cast ccE's get frequent use.. and yeah. Magic pack wins by a mile.

Least Appealing: Inevitably, something is in last place. In my case, it's the Science pack. I don't like the look of the lab coats, I find the non-booster goggles better than the booster ones, and I just don't need body-resizing stuff. Yeah, that's disinterest in pretty much every part of the whole pack.

Next Purchase: Honestly I don't know. It's between Martial Arts, Mutant, and Wedding packs. They're all "I want part of this pack, but I'm not sure if I'll get much use out of it / not sure I'll use many things from the pack at all"
I'm waiting to see more good screenshots of using the Mutant or martial stuff in varied costumes. And to see if we get Organic Armor with skin.
  21. Or you could make it red, and only use the power when there's a pretty girl on your team!
  22. I'd never wish pain upon others... but.. I'm okay with it if steelclaw gets bored. The rest of us won't be for long.
  23. If you're feeling extra-brave, you can head into Crey's Folly and fight the tough crey dudes there. And you'll also be there at some point for your Aura mission as well.

Also, I like that name, Thunderfang. Good ring to it!
  24. It's obvious which kids will grow up to like knockback and which won't. Some will be all meticulously placing figurines for combat and stuff, and others like to fling things into the air when they get the crap kicked out of them.

    *sage nod*
