Hello, people!
I'm sorry to say, but the deadline has been moved to 12:00 AM (Or PM... Midnight, Ok?) EST of Today. I have a barbecue to go to tomorrow afternoon, and thus will not be able to start up the poll thread at the planned time of 3:00 PM.
EDIT: Entries are CLOSED. Vote for your favorite costume here! -
Oh, here's a prize!:
The winner - Or winners... I'm not quite sure - of the contest will get their costume design drawn by Lady Judgment.
But anyway, here's how the decision of the winner will go down.
On Saturday, a poll will be set up with all the pictures of the different characters under it. Already, my three personal favorites will each get an extra three, two, and one vote from me. These polls will close at 9:00 EST on Saturday, where I will examine the results, and then post them next day. -
I fear there's no prize. Just knowledge that your costume is great in my eyes, and that it just is very inspirational and all that fuzz.
-
Woah, hold on, what is this!?
This... Is a costume contest...! You send in pictures of a hero, and I'll evaluate them. There's a total of three winners for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions, and an indiscriminate amount of honorable mentions.
So, how are you going to judge how good our costumes are if we can't show them to you?
Oh, but you can! See, all you have to do is press the PrntScrn key on your keyboard. It's just above the insert key, shortly up-right of the backspace key. Use it to take a picture of your costumed hero, and post the picture here on the internets and in this thread!
There's gotta be some sort of limitation or something, right?
I suppose so. Unless they begin to show up on the higher ranking costumes in the contest, you can use any invention/veteran/premium costume parts. Keep powers off for your main picture, so I can clearly see what your costume looks like. Finally, because I want to twist things around, I'm going to place a weekly theme for the contest. Costumes that do not fit the theme criteria will not be included in the judging.
Alright. When do we need to have our costumes in by?
Get them in by mid-day Saturday. The costumes will be judged then, and the results of the contest will be posted on Sunday.
And now, let the contests begin!
This weeks theme is: Create a costume incorporating the following things:
W-shield (Can be found on both half and full hemlets)
The colors White and Red (The costume has to have the colors white and red in it. It does not have to be limited to those two colors.)
At least one robotic arm
Once again, submissions are due on May 12th by 3:00 PM EST, and results will be displayed on the 13th. -
Wow. He's cool.
Thank goodness you didn't name him Gravity Beetle. He's actually an actual character, though not a comic one. -
Wow. Congradulations, Rockey.
Blargh. I keep thinking of Megaman's dog. His name is also Rush. Yep. -
Hahah. People remember me. That's great! Then again, I was only gone for about roughly 3 months, and I don't know what kind of influence I've left on the people of the community.
As for me staying past the unactivated offer that NCSoft is making, I think I'll stay for 1 more month, then call it quits again until I decide that I'm out of work to do in my school and need something other than Game making and Speedrunning MMX to do. -
Holy... Awesome. NCSoft decided to be generous and offer us nonsubscribers a free week of play! Awesome! And just when I felt I needed to start playing this game again!
So, yeah. I'm back. For those who don't remember, or don't know me, I am Green Regis. Henshin Superhero fanboy, Spriter extrordinare, and a variety of other crazy stuff.
So, what have I done in the past? Well, for starters, I've done Costume Design , Sprites , and, for actually quite a while, but not until recently exposed, Game Making.
So, that's me. Green Regis. Now, anybody remember me? -
-
I'm obviously no match for any of you. Seriously. This is all I got.
But each has a backstory to them!
Green Regis: Backstory in Signature.
Blue Ruby: Girl born with 3rd eye. She later on in her life learned that her eye gave her the ability to make powerful mental projections and manipulate force.
Prince Corprus: An ancient french prince, cursed by a fortune teller to live for eternity. He is skilled in necromancy, and is trying to use the magic to put himself to his final rest.
Beetle 21: A fashion model who was captured by Crey. Expirimentation turned her into a rhino beetle-woman, with strong armor and incredible strength. Of course, she's really angry that she's a monster, now.
Diamondgard: Profile in Sig.
Shaded Fox: A robotic assassin built by the same people who built Green Regis. He was built to kill him, and has claws. As well as lightning reflexes and special equipment.
Firestorm Viper: Sig.
Destruction's Dawn: Blue Ruby's sister; she was born with the ability to both project bolts and make shields of energy.
Demon's Redemption: Sig.
Fury Link: A youth born with the ability to endlessly spout radioactive energy, he uses golden chains to contain his imense power.
Hagane-Tatsujin: I wanted to play Green Regis, but not be Green, so this guy was the result. In the end, I guess he's just his sidekick.
Bloody Battery: A mutant born a humongous monster, he was a huge, flesh-eating monster as a child, and even as a grownup, he likes to feast on the flesh of humans. His human food eventually gave him electric powers. -
Kilotonnage is not green enough. I am, though.
-
To put a short story sick, I got sick with a fluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu about a week ago. I think this competition is pretty postponed.
-
Alright. That's it for entries, since today is 12/17. Let my judging begin!
Bleh. I'm throwing the scores away. I'll just share the creme de la creme or whatever. -
I'll take a shot at this. Hold on...

Ok, I gave this a shot. I present Aviatrix
I was thinking along the lines of Amelia Earhart (just wish you could put the goggles on front of helmet).
[/ QUOTE ]
Guys only, for now, I fear. -
[ QUOTE ]
Ok, heres my entry. Level 36 Grav/fire Dom, No Name.
No Name
[/ QUOTE ]
Uhh... Two things, my boy...
1. He's huge bodytype.
2. He's not wearing a half-helmet. -
[ QUOTE ]
Do we have to enter? Or can anyone play?
Well, I'll just assume that I don't have to enter:
Here's my entry!
(Also. How do you take screenshots during character creation? It wouldn't let me, so I had to go to the tutorial)
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, I'll let anyone go and play. Sure.
Just tap the Printscreen button on the Character Creation screen, then minimize CoH. Go to wherever you keep an image editor, then paste the screen you took with Printscreen to the image editor. Then save the image and you're great.
The deadline has been set for : 12/17. Good luck! -
So, well, remember a few weeks ago when BAS held some competitions on who could make the best costume under the tightest circuimstances? Well, that's coming back, courtesy of me!
Right. So this will either be weekly or bi-weekly, depending on how many entrees I get per day, and how busy I am with real life. You can either send me the entry's via PM, or just post-em here for the world to see. That's the gist of it, pretty much. Costumes will be rated in four different scores:
Concept - How original the idea of the costume is.
Color - How well the colors were chosen.
Design - How well the costume pieces were used.
Modeling - How well the body was toned. Yes, this will matter, but I don't think it will matter very much.
Now then; the first rounds guidelines are...
Male body (Not huge.), Half-Helmet.
That's it. The configurations will become stranger and stranger and STTRRRAAAAAAaaAAAaaaAAnger as time goes on! Get in that screen and design! -
Here's my shot.
The concept behind his costume is that... Well, he's wearing tights. The yellow bits of him are actually past bone protrusions he has crafted into helmet, shoulderpads and belt.
