of the 10 or so people there, including vills, ALL standing around under the statue, talking, having 1 on 1 fights.. discussing builds and set enhancements.. bla bla.. i had been in there for a while when i was A/S.. even the vils that where in there at the time said it wasnt cool that we were all talking.

thats why i was/went in there

so, uh, ya, silly me.

i was in rv watching some friends pvp (on my fire EMP troller).. it was understood under the statue was a safe zone..

elf wouldnt leave me alone, killed me 3xs before i finally left. There were probably 10 or so people in there and kept comin after the easy kill.

the player i was speaking about in my earlier post, while i did [censored] at him for a good mission or 2 during the lrsf, i did also end up giving him some pointers and taking him to oro to get his portal, i also told him to go to paragonwiki and start reading.. and suggested his next toon that he grind it up the hard way.. that hes missing a lot of the game. I also told him i thought it was pretty crappy of his sg/sg leader to not better equip him for actual game play and not just farming. I really think its the SG's that noobs belong to that need to step up and not just have them there to collect prestige.

anywhoo... On behalf of The Stoned Templars, we'll help where we can.. we dont recruit players at all, its just a small group of "real life" friends that have learned (are still learning) this game together. If ever you need any of us for something specific feel free to hit 1 of us up.



(It was actually nurse eye candy and felecia that were very sweet and helpful to me.. and im sure i drove them nuts numerous times and i can honestly say neither of them ever tried to recruit me.)

I gotta agree with this. What you deem as good, someone else may not. Unfortunately ive seen it a 1000x's.

What i think needs to be addressed is the SG's that are farming these new toons to 50 and not mentoring them the right way. I was on the lrsf a week ago with someone that was proud of the fact he joined COH and hit 50 in 3 days thanks to his sg.. and yet had no idea what vengence did, what the oroboros portal was, or what badges were for. It was pretty sad and extremely frustrating.

SG's.. if youre going to do this with your new members, please dont send them off into the world for the rest of us to have to deal with.. thanks.

Sorry, im kinda new to the red side.. since ive been on that side i hadnt noticed any raid attempts. I have been involved with several on the blue side. I meant it more like the 1st week of hopefully more weeks to come with red side raids.

And, I cant/wasnt comment(ing) on the leadership on other teams, just my own.

To comment on Meowtch's post, I want to say that I honestly believe Blackcide/@Fanged Knight was very clear and awesome as the leader of the taunt team, and helped a few of us who were rather new to the experience. On Round One, I taunted the wrong mito, so you would have caught agg there, my bad. This was pointed out to me and corrected before Round Two. And there were a few other times that in team commentary helped us (I think 3 of us were new to Hami'ing) refine our tactics.

We had solid leadership, with NetMinder (i Nubis) helping out as well.

Just saying, I really don't think leadership was an issue from what I saw around. I think a lot of people being really new, which will change, and a less than ideal character make-up were the two biggest flaws, and both of those are easily correctable.

Sadly, I, personally can only correct one of those flaws. Other than my brute, the only thing I have near 45 is a 38 MM.

nice lead.

we did this today with a team of 7.. 1 got pissy and left b/c members of the team were called noobs..

so down to 7.. of those 7, 4 never did it before, myself included, and 1 of those 4 had a toon pwr lvld to 50 *in 2 days* and didnt even know what badges were for or when we all opened the oro portal he stood in amazement and asked OMG WHAT WAS THAT WHERE DID YOU ALL GO...

and we PASSED with no nukes, no shivans, no nothing, just us.
2 hours 29 mins later.. yes, im sure it was long.. thats besides the point.

anyways.. nice run, nice lead.
