Quote:its very possible to get 1 or 2 lvls off a raid if youre a low enough lvl. In this case the person in question was a lvl 15 emp defender.. so ya.. it is sweet xp ... AT THAT LVL.Sweet xp. LOLOLOLOL
Besides the point, I see no problem with having a level 15 or what have you level of a toon show as long as the rest of the make up looks fine. From experience, I have had a few people not show up on "35's" and still had a successful Raid, then again that would be one of the many reasons why I started leading my own with the usual 'Champ-nonsense.'
If you are one of the few that would rather bring a lowbie, go for it, or get a friend that is 'cool' with the idea and form your own. I've never been one to depend on a single person for a specific raid, trial, etc.
There are certain times when (IMO) everyone should play as a team (read: Raids) Everyone else comes on level appropriate characters why is it acceptable for those few that dont? At what point does it become an issue and the entire raid gets put at risk (which ive seen happen)
I applaud anyone that steps up and leads things for the community.. I also think its up to the individual leadership to set the parameters in how they wish it to be done.. and like you, if they dont like it, well, they can simply lead it themselves... instead of sitting there griefing and spamming how bad the raid leader sucks. -
While BMT Exalted and Exalted Events are *fairly* casual channels there ARE some basic rules and etiquette that have to be followed.
Recently, I caught wind of some bashing that was goin on with a person that was leading an event and someone else wasnt happy with the rules that the leader was asking of others..
Bashing other players in the channel isnt going to be tolerated. You will be silenced and or kicked. There is no need for anyone to act like 3 year olds when they dont get their way. -
I see absolutely no value in people under level 35 participating in rwz raids.. hell, i dont even really see the point in people under lvl like 45-47 doing it.. they dont really provide *much* if anything at all.
A lvl 15 empath ISNT going to keep anyone alive in that situation. (I use this example because of someone having a tantrum over this issue). Youre only there to collect the sweet XP.. at least own it when you come in there.. dont sit there and say the raid leader sucks..
Yes, i know.. the zone is open to all levels. Just because it is, doesnt mean it should be. -
Quote:See, I think this is a good idea. What about the idea of doing a monthly EU raid earlier in the day?
Problem I see with regularly scheduled 1s is this (to address Matts post)
I dont know what the EU's population is like on THIS server. Correct me if im wrong but arent there currently EU servers? If so, I would think a lot are doing what the American server population does... and thats play on Exalted hit n miss. Difference being there are a lot more of us then there are of them.
I dont wish for another situation like last Fridays FAILED attempt at the raid... after 3+ hours. All that accomplishes is people seeing the wrong way of raiding and getting frustrated and not wanting to participate it them at all. We saw this exact thing happen last Saturday during the scheduled raid. I cannot tell you the amount of tells from people telling me they almost didnt come because of Friday nights attempt. There are still LOADS of people that arent familiar with the Hami raids and id really hate for more people to get a bad taste..(it was the MAIN reason the zone took so long to fill last Saturday) and not want to raid anymore. -
Quote:Well, truth be told.. its not just us. Members from Jagged Legion and Keltials SG have been On the raid crew and have been super clutch. That's going to be a problem.
Most of the Stoned Templars are west coasters (myself and one or two others being the exception), so 10 P.M. ET is already early for them as it is only 7 P.M. PT. Moving Hamidon raids to 1 P.M. their time... Well, I just don't see it happening. And 4 P.M. ET on a Saturday is problematic for me as well.
Not to preclude anyone else from doing it, but I don't see it happening with the current crew. Sorry. -

Quote:give me a time range and i'll see when would be the best time to schedule 1 in.. Im not familiar with EU time zones =\ (translate it in eastern if you wouldnt mindbe really good to get a Hami raid going at a time when the EU crowd could make it too. Hami seems to be a lot of fun but on Defiant at least we always managed to epic fail so sadly I'm probably not the best to volunteer to lead it cuz I've never been able to complete it since the revamp

Quote:I'd also like to think we've taught them a thing or 2 as wellWe (The Stoned Templars) actually learned a couple of new Hamidon raid tricks from an experienced supergroup from the Pinnacle server that's been helping us lead Hamidon raids on Exalted, for instance.
(i also didnt know they were from pinnacle...{sorry james} )

All the current pvp seems to be on Freedom. They just started their current round over this past weekend. @masque also holds boot camps every couple months. Myself and @ Mah thru CAPE hosted a "basic training" pvp league for 6 weeks then we followed it up with a league that also last 6 weeks.
While i suck at pvp id be happy to assist where and however.
keep in mind pvp=drama. -
added to exalted events calendar. (all times on calendar are listed in eastern to keep it simple for all players)

do the f2p players have access to global channels? I know thats not the case here, was just curious... it would explain the increase activ on the other servers.. and as far as here goes, id have to agree with taz. Not many read the forums and know there are channels created to help the player base.

Quote:Hami raids on Saturday @10 been switched to Sunday @ 10pm ET?
I will host the RWZ Sundays at 8:30pm ET(so no conflict of the raids). Be in RWZ and on league to start exactly at 8:30. Takes 5-10minutes to get all the pylons.
I'd like to attempt to lead a Hami Raid Fridays at 9pm ET(herding up by 8:30). Only led 6hamis, 5successful.(not counting last week) was testin' binds =)
you have cops that you lead and rwz.. the times that are posted are they correct? sat is cop runs @ 9 and sun is rwz @ 9 -

also, what @celestial lord said. Burnout is a bad thing. I ca see doing back to back on saturdays, but adding another day in the mix, not so sure. -

A really helpful tool that we use on Champion that I thought may be of some use here too.
If you want your event added send me a PM or in game tell @Cherry Cupcakes.
I will be adding more admins to the calendar as it warrants. Let me know if youre interested.
Exalted Events Calendar
All times listed are Eastern. (To calculate your zone subtract the following off Eastern Time: Central Time, -1 / Mountain Time, -2 / Pacific Time -3) -
Quote:As has already been mentioned, we come from a lot of different servers, each with their own conventions and SOPs, and none of us are quite sure where Exalted is going to settle yet. Eventually, the player community here will evolve its own set of standards, but until then we're all strangers in a strange land.
word. -
I had borrowed the the idea from 1 we use on Champion.. wasnt sure if anyone would care to follow a fb page dedicated to Exalted so i didnt post it.. but here it is..
