Ok people, I figured I would go ahead and start a thread for us to post our MA Arcs in. Just for Liberty.
Ok, I made a little one just to see how the MA worked. I think it's pretty cool. I didnt think I would like it, till I used it.
So, mine is Arc number 11279 The string thief.
Light Bill made one, but I dont remember his arc number. Here is the name of Bill's arc, Light Bill's fun factory.
Little warning about Bill's arc, it isnt for the faint of heart! haha.
Ok Liberty, if any of you are on test, post your MA arcs here so we can try them out. Remember to be kind and rewind, I meen, be kind and rate and leave a message for the arcs you have tryed out
Also, if ya didnt know, there is a LBx on test, so join that also. /chanjoin, LBx

Could one of the red names please give us a clue when open beta will start.

Just keep trying to log in. Dont see what the big deal is. -
I hear its very time consuming, VERY...Almost sounds to me like it almost wont be worth really using unless you have a LOAD of time to put into making missions/arcs.
The person said it was like waiting forever for a 3 minute ride
I can see it now. People that have little going on in their life and a tad bit of writing skill will be the ones getting the badges for the MA. -
Dont you love it when threads like this get started?
Dont you hate it when threads like this die? -

The parameters depended on player actions, and while you could set up a configuration where the SK got more, you could also do the reverse.
[/ QUOTE ]
So are you saying the position in the order of invites actually does matter or did I miss read that?
[/ QUOTE ]thats what it sounds like. however, in my experiences, based just off observations and not strict statistical measurements, regardless of when the person was invited and where they appear on the team window the sidekicks will get the most drops.
[/ QUOTE ]
You are correct! I will never take on a SK again on my 50s when I want to run a few missions. The last few times I did that my SK got my purples! So, that ripped me out of being able to say that I have gotten 7 purples since they came out instead of 5
So, only soloing for my 50s unless I get board or want to do a TF/SF. Which I dont do much anyway.
A level 1-46 should not be getting purple drops imo! -
New ones coming soon I hope
I wana see them get to 50 -

Have all of you peeps missed the fact that we can Custom Create our own Enemy Groups? Have ties betweeen them and AV's/Heroes, and even include said AV's/Heroes in our Arc?
I never even dreamed I could have Lord Recluse in my Arc.
In short,
Some Peeps will find a way to make this an Exploit. Some will treat it as an alternate to the standard in-game content. Some creative peeps will design and publish very good Story Arcs. Some will refuse to participate because it does not do exactly what they want it to do.
In the end,
Good content will be added.
Plenty of Farms will be added.
Most folks will wind up using it.
We can actually put existing AV's in the Mish? WOW!!!!!
I can't wait.
I'm not gonna ask again to be involved in Closed Beta.
I will prolly be in on Live Beta to some extent, but what's the point?
Live I will unleash the Story Arcs I have in mind.
[/ QUOTE ]
You mean like, completely FILLING a map with freaks, or FILLING a map with AV's.
Just make a map that is one BIG room and completely fill it with something to see if your toon can take it
Heh, farm this if you can stay alive
OH... and thx Mod8 for fixing my slop.. I didnt know that happen till later
I brokeded the forum -

People getting all goofy over something new put into the game. Just like every new issue. More will do it at first, then it dies down.JUst like every other issue and new thing put in game. With every new issue there is doomsayers, and people that get their jollies arguing. Arguing on the internet gets nowhere, ever...Might as well look at the wall and argue with that. You will get as far and change the walls mind as much as people on here.(if it had one).
It's just a new issue with a cool new feature. People need to settle down and just go with the flow of the game
Like the new feature? Great, use it. Don't like the new feature? Great, don't use it. Dont like the missions people put out? So what, dont play them. Like them? Fine, play them.
Dont mind me, just go about the arguing and fussing at one another to absolutely no avail, like always here on the forums. -
Vertigo_ Said it...
But I can tell you one thing, If my wife, me, my mother or father decide to write something with the MA, It wont be boring or stupid. Thats all i'm saying
We are some of the rare people that can think in this world and arent lazy. I am a musician/song writer, so is my wife,so is my mother. My father is also a very good story writer. So, I dont think anyone would be disapointed with anything we do. When it comes to writing anyway
Wish we could put our own music in the missions
Finding the time to do it, now thats another thing -

Hey folks,
Just reading up on the Issue 14 update just released, I saw this rather bold statement up top:
"The First MMORPG to Offer User Created Content!"
Well, I don't know about NCSoft's knowledge of the MMORPG market but I beg to differ: there are, and have been, MMORPGs with large followings of players with user-created content. From my own experience: Try, for example, Neverwinter Nights! Full editor, full freedom even down to the system scripting, and a large community of people with custom modules, custom content, custom characters and custom game play (and all officially supported by the game developers as a feature, not as a hack or patch -- it was intended to be used that way_. And that game has been around for how long now?
CoX is definitely not the first, and I think it's rather bad to beat yourself on the chest stating something that is obviously not true. Please don't try to hype it more than it is, folks.
Lup.

Yup, I have been playing NWN since it came out. I was thinking the same thing as you. But, it's not quite the same as what CoX is doing, but then again, it is -

Seeing the effort it took to accomplish, I will have to amend my original statement that anyone "sufficiently motivated" could earn enough for a max build in a month and make it anyone "TREMENDOUSLY motivated".
Given Keep's journey, which I think we can all agree is at the bleeding edge of market performance, I'm amending my original off the cuff estimate of one month and making it 2-3.
What Keep did in a sprint I think most of us could duplicate in twice the time, or a little more.
Kudos sir on an impressive and highly entertaining experiment!

I still after all this time have yet to get over 230 mill on my one 50, or have a purple recipe drop or buy one. I guess the most important thing to have if you want to be rich in this game is time. That with me is spent in real life. I could see in about 5-10 years having most of what I would like to have in this game -

I think the mission architect is going to cause a situation where the creative department will almost completely stop creating new quality story arcs.
What a friend told me when I mentioned what issue 14 was going to have he concluded something rather similar.
This is a very dangerous issue. When you put the creative direction in the hands of the community, that gives some of them a message similar to that of Neverwinter Nights.
"You make your own content, we're through."
[/ QUOTE ]
That a bad thing? I was a huge NWN fan back before I got sick to tears of their handling of the game's bugs and issues. Player made content was a BIG reason why that game was such a huge hit. There were tons of persistent worlds. It was like having a hundred little free MMOs begging you to come play. Too bad the sequel bombed like the Titanic.
I look forward to our new player content overlords.
[/ QUOTE ]
I agree, however:
A monthly subscription is collected for this game and always will. I love the concept of issue 14, don't get me wrong, but I would love to see new story arcs and improvements/optimizations to the game if we're expected to shell out the monies. (no, 100% of $14.95 hardly ever goes toward server upkeep in MMOs) The concern is inevitable and no doubt shared by some other than me.
That's the difference between a game like CoH and a game like Neverwinter Nights that asks nothing more than the box's purchase.
[/ QUOTE ]
I said all this way back before issue 13 was releast and was laughed at. Go figure.
My first thought was, OK,good one! $15 a month so I can make new content.
But, i'm sure they wont stop making new things. Unless this is the start of the end so they put this feature in because they are all going bye byes.
Either way, I didnt bother making anything with NWN, I dont think I will with this game either. Depends on how easy it is to use. I didnt get NWN to play online with anyway. I dont like MMOs, all but this one, and I dont play it to game with other people. I play it for myself. -

Please post in the i13 PvP feedback section (under Developers Corner). Ranting here will change nothing. Maybe the Devs will listen to a PvP newbie like yourself (by newbie I mean someone who enters Warburg solo and expects not to get ganked...and for there to be no trash talking).
[/ QUOTE ]
Hey, why should I? It is not me who is crying all over the forums because PvP in this game has died. I could care less. It's your problem, not mine. I just figured I would be nice enough to show you *why* your precious PvP is dying.
But hey, by all means, keep doing what you are doing....I will just sit back and sip soda while you continue to chase off new players. /e shrugs.
[/ QUOTE ]
Those who want to pvp who are complaining about the pvp changes, are complaining because the changes have made pvp into some kind of lame [censored] new game where powers don't work the same, at's dont work the same, the imbalances are FAR bigger than they were before, and the sluggish new style blows. And these changes were made to cater to people like you who really don't have any interest in pvp'ing, and who don't have a thick enough skin to pvp to begin with. I'm not a trash talker, but I do like competition, and I've never taken part in any competitive situation that didn't have trash talkers. Good luck removing trash talking from any competitive situation where you have more than one or two people. And 'ganking' will always exist as well because better players will always beat the crap out of bad ones. If you want to get good, you have to be willing to take the beatings to get better, that's how it works in any competitive endeavor. Your problem with pvp isn't what the system or game mechanics are, your problem is with what competition is and what it makes you face. My problem with the new pvp is the broken game mechanics the devs have created where TANKS are running around with RANGED SHARK ATTACKS because squishes can take more of a beating than they can, lol.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, thats pretty **'d up since tanks dont have those powers -

Stop complaining on the boards because PvP is dead, or dying or anything else. Because if the way I was treated in PvP is any indication to how others are treated, then I must say, you have only done it to yourselves.
[/ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
If people are really that concerned with the population of PvP, then perhaps you should try not ganking on the new guys so much, and give them a bit of breathing room. I also noticed the people who are normally there, were virtually left alone. That to me is not how you get others interested in PvP.
[/ QUOTE ]
I would tend to agree with you. Not only are many of the PvP'rs only out to "school the noobs", they are very insulting when you don't let them school you.
I can tell the difference between when I have a chance in a fight and when it's time to make a break for it. I really don't need to be insulted when I know if I stay I'm just going to fall in combat. It's annoying. I put a lot of PvP'rs on /gignore due to the ignorant taunting. They can go call names in the school yard if they want. I'm not playing a game to deal with bullies.
Unfortunately, that's all some PvP'r are; they are just bullies and that's it. I'm not saying that's all of them, but I have run into some of them that are.
To me, the complaints about DR, etc. pretty much come down to, we aren't uber powerful any more; aka they aren't 100% guaranteed that they will be able to school a noob.
Yes. No one wants to loose all the time. If you are fighting an uphill battle that you know you can't win without having maxed out IO sets, the hill is a pretty mighty one to climb for a new PvPr.
So yeah, lighten up in the PvP zones until they get more populated and then have some good fights. Camping on the doorstep, et al. ganker-esque tactics should be not be used. There is plenty of room in zones to PvP. Play the zone and don't abuse it.
We all might find that there is more going on in PvP zones and that they start becoming a lot more fun.
EDIT ::
I read some of the garbage replies on this thread.
What you don't understand is "the point".
It has nothing to do with "letting someone else win".
It is about an enjoyable experience for everyone.
When you can easily defeat someone, leave them alone unless they attack you. The only point in defeating them repeatedly is bullying.
If name calling, etc. is okay in PvP, then, yeah, screw PvP. That will turn people off immediately. It isn't about having a thin skin, it's a matter of you are trying to do something that you are new at and you are being verbally abused. That's not cool. You are not cool for doing it. You are being a jerk for doing it. And, as I said, you're just going to get /gignored by me, so what good is it doing you as a PvP'r to be /gingored?
If you can't understand why what was posted was posted by the OP, then I sort of feel sorry for you....the part of me that doesn't just want to /gignore you and make you a non-entity (aka pretty much "killing you" in this PvP arena in my world view.)
[/ QUOTE ]
That is the smartest thing I have seen a PvP person say on these forums. It is 100% true, and why I dont go in the zones much at all. If I dont want to deal with punk jackasses I dont go where they are. Simple as that. -
