ok heres my thoughts
Fire Blast has a recharge of 4 seconds but the acc is bad so 2 ACC 3 dam 1 recharge.
Cauterize will be a pretty big end drain so 1 end redux 2 recharge 3 heal.
Hurdle/Combat Jumping won't really gain much in jump height from the extra jump enhancers
Blaze you really want that to hit as its good damage so 2 ACC 3 dam 1 end redux
Blazing Bolt 2 ACC 3 Dam 1 Recharge/intRdx to taste
Heat Exhaustion/Melt Armour both need 2 ACC 3 Recharge atleast
Like max said fire breath and fire ball make a good AoE combo.
Fire/Thermal is end heavy btw -

My only complaint about my dude's performance would be that lift and propel seem largely redundant when i've got a whole secondary power set full of blasty type powers which get the job done considerably better (and don't have an animation that lasts several hours, and use less endurance), but that's nothing a respec won't fix.
So to summarise:
-Is grav/psi really that gimp?
-What powers should I skip in order to minimise gimpedness?
-What powers should I take to maximise awesomeness?

The problem with both Grav and Psi is they are late bloomers.Grav has huge holes in its holds and psi dosn't get anything that does any damahe untill very late.
For grav the only holds you will use are the single target and AoE everything else will get you shot at and probably killed, but ppl use dimension shift and wormhole to fill the gaps.
Psi is quite frankly a complete and total pain in the [censored] untill 38 basicly because its not a high damaging set and the powers you'll find yourself using are mindprobe,subdue and Psychic scream because they are the only powers that do the slighest damage untill 38 when you can get psychic shockwave.
Don't expect huge amounts of damage with Psi because its not gonna happen. -

By they guy i assume you mean the guy i quote in the OP. I didnt think switching between invis/stealth would be a huge chore, although I may have misread ur post.

its not with a bind 1 maybe 2 seconds to switch -
i made a nice bind that toggles between stealth and invis and takes all of 3 seconds to hit BU+bind+AS.
and what the guy said is pretty much right as i've tried it myself so you've got 3 seconds to move or die. -

Just reading the bumf on dark armour set (toying with making a team freindly stalker - rather unusual I know).
The hide description seems to suggest that it will stack with all other stealth / invis powers, unlike other hides?
I thought all hides stacked with stealth anyway?
Anyone enlighten me?

/SR-Scrapper with Tactics,FA and Focused Senses is at the perception cap.
You could see a Stalker with Hide,Stealth an Grant(ed) Invisibility (at Stealth cap) at 10 Feet.
Stalker with only Hide and Stealth at 263 feet.

i've sat in sirens with my mind dom spamming holds at SR scrappers with practiced brawler on and i can vouch for how hard it is to get past click mez protection and thats with TK.

4 holds is mag 12, I'd be very surprised if Ninjitsu gives you more than that. Mag 12 is enough for me to Hold a Regen Scrapper (maybe less but that is 2 holds with Domination). From the description Retsu doesn't look like it gives you any extra mezz resist in addition to Rin. Let me know if you want to test this on live.

I'd gladly sit in sirens while you throw holds at me because i know i will not be held with Rin on because click mez protect is harder to beat than toggle mez.
This is not so on the test server so something has changed. -

I think mez protection has been lowered to .. i got held by acouple holds through kuji-in rin and retus in RV but this would never happen on live as it is now so somethings has changed .. not seen any notes tho.

yeah i've been on test quite abit and like the pervious poster has said there are alot of ppl with more Per than a stalker can get alone.
when there are more lvl 50 stalkers i would imagine things might change but it still dosn't changed the fact that stalkers cannot improve stealth to the cap without a team and grant invis but with a 2 minute duration and the chance there will not be anyone in the team or willing to buff stalkers every 2 minutes makes things uneven as scrappers do not need the team element to out preform stalkers in RV.
I don't expect total invis for stalkers i expect heroes to beable to see stalkers in RV thats to be expected but with the amount of per a scrapper can get theres no counter other than grant invis that means the range stalkers can be seen is to large thus making stalker specials ineffective. -
i think the majority of posters are basicly playing heroes and hate stalkers and are just laughing plus tainted takes every opportunity to try and flame me and brings no real opinions to a discussion so i'll just alert the mods to remove any flaming posts.
I understand no one AT has the upperhand in PVP and that heroes should have an even hand in pvp V stalkers, i also understand the per/stealth caps but it still dosn't explain why scrappers can increase per alone while stalkers are forced to team to increase stealth. -

Yes i know all that but do you think its right that a lone scrapper can force a stalker so he HAS to team to be on a even level ?

oh an lets not forget there HAS to be someone on the team with grant invis or the stalker is just a poor scrapper with no critical hits. -
This is the reason i put this post in the stalker forum because ppl would just say 'oh shes whining about being seen' if i put it in PVP.. NO thats not what this post is about .. its about being FORCED into something .. its about HAVING to team or having your butt kicked by scrappers WHO DO NOT HAVE TO TEAM because they have the advantage of having all the powers to beable to see you WITHOUT a teams help.
If Scrappers had to team to get max +per i would not have a problem its the fact they can do it solo thats the main problem and theres noway a stalker can counteract that alone.
And yes i've been to RV. -

its a better use of slots and leaves 2 powers for patron powers. -
nobodys getting the whole issue of the post !.
Stalkers HAVE to team otherwise there effectiveness is lowered so badly they are forced to scrap.
I do not want to be forced into a team just so i can play in a certain zone or do a certain mission and crypic have said before that you don't have to but i7 is a total contradiction which i'm just highlighting with the +per problem.
Heroes don't need to team as highlighted in my first post so i don't see why stalkers have to. -

Just like people with grant invis will be rare (according to you), the build you describe above will be rare too. First of all, only SR scrappers can achieve the above +per solo. And even then, only the SR scrappers that actually want to invest in 3 +per powers for this end. Ofcourse, there will certainly be those that do this (my SR scrapper will, probably), but in the end, most heroes won't have this kind of perception solo.
As for the CM +per, this is in a team, so it shouldn't be compared with just your own stealth bonus, your team can give you more stealth to counter it.

i see 2 scrapper sets and 2 tanker sets that have a damn good chance of spotting stalkers from a VERY large distance not to mention blasters and pretty much all scrappers and tankers take FA.
Also if you had read my post you'll see that for a stalker to be able to beat those figures they MUST team with someone with grant invis, there no way a stalker with hide+stealth can improve his stealth alone unlike heroes who can do it solo.
As far stalkers being able to scrap yes they can to a certain extent but they do have low HP and low defence and do not comapre to scrappers HP but the stalker AT is based around hide but that element has been removed in i7. -

stalkers in i7 have been given the short straw and one i'm not to happy about.
let me explain.
In i7 stalkers will be forced to team to try and get grant invis to max out stealth this is mainly due to the heroes having so many +per power ie: SR focued senses (300 +per), focused accuracy (300 +per) and tactics (+234) this gives +834 perception beating the standard hide+stealth combo of -890 so the only way a stalker is to get even close to a scrapper with the above he needs grant invis.
my main gripe is stalkers are being forced to team in the vain hope someone in the team has grant invis which isn't that common and to be honest nobodys going to keep buffing every 2 minutes.
The heroes to get high +per DO NOT have to team, all they have to do is take those per powers and they can solo in the PVP zones ... not really fair is it ?.
Who is the real solo AT here .. scrappers or stalkers ?.
Saying all this i havn't really mentioned clear mind which would just be another nail in the coffin of stalkers .. CM is another +390.
what chance do stalkers have in Recluses Victory .. zero to none i say not unless you add someone with grant invis to your buddy list and hope hes on at the same time you want to PVP and then have him follow you around the zone.
Focused Accuracy needs the +per elliment removing thus forcing heroes to team aswell for CM instead of it being a 1 sided affair. -
tranference and transfusion do debuff but only for a short period.

intergration needs slotting with heals x3
reconstruction should be 3 recharge 3 heal
fast healing is a skipper if you need the power slots.
6 end reds in stamina ? only need 3
drop maneuvers/acrobatics and get boxing or kick and tough and keep resilience 3 slotted.
