Forge VS Melting Armor VS Heat Exhaustion

I will choose Forge first. Why?

Forge's buff is constant and you can apply to at least 2 targets with SOs. Yes, Merc may not be the best choice but your teammates will like it.

Melting Armor has 22% debuff. Your Merc is probably slotted with AH Proc. When I played my /thermal, I sometimes forget to use Melting Armor but if you have good recharge, it's decent.

Heat Exhaustion, while it has nasty 500% -regen and -50% damage debuff debuff, if you don't fight AVs all the time, you won't notice HE's benefit that much.
By the time you have 90-118% dmg enhancement aren't additional dmg buffs worth only around half of their value to base when compared to your total dmg as in 30% dmg buff to an attack with 100 dmg base and 100 dmg enhancement 200 dmg before external buffs only gains and additional 30 dmg in this case a 15% boost to total damage. Unless I'm missing somthing 22% -res does much more for your damage. As that one 200 damage attack should now deal an additional 44 dmg and all your damage sources gain a similar boost
  3. Now if only I could get suit and tie mafioso/federal agent style thugs I'd have the enthusiasm necessary to play my thugs traps
  4. if you put that chance for +recharge proc into this power does the bonus go to the caster or the psudopet?

  8. reasonable request imo; there exsists no accurate resistence set in game, there is no HO that intentionally covers accuracy and resistence so the only way to to enhance both attributes in one slot post nerf would be to add enhancements that can cover both attributes

    That kinda sucks.
There is a range of values that rare level set bonuses can give their is no range with very rare set benefits it's always 10% recharge and 15% accuracy for example as in you get those values if you get those benefit types
  10. Beam/traps corr
You get scourge and only lose a little bit in terms of defense from the shield pet and -res from acid pet. Triage beacon is 150% base regen regardless of which at you get it for.

It doesn't get better if you catalise it to 4% hell even 40% would be waste for MMs given how pathetic their base personal damage is. I'm just glad i'm not the only one who is ticked off by the dmg buffs in pet sets shtick

It's not here yet but keep an eye out for something in the works. There will be plenty of prizes for both NA/EU players, In-game celebration, and lots of fun to be had. HUGE prizes for the Grand Winners. It will be aimed for the late Spring/Early Summer so this is just a preview of things to come.

While you wait here's an example of what can be expected so everyone can get started on concepts:

1: It will be character based
Meaning: Come up with a character you like the best, your absolute amazing design or horrific creation. Anime, or Comic Book - but it has to be COH enticed - ALL factions allowed.

2: A side by side comparison will be needed.
Meaning: Post a picture of your (In game creation) aside your Cosplay. Or a drawn picture of your COH concept that your Cosplay reflects.

There's plenty more to come at a later date, much later, but I wanted to get a word out now so all of you who are interested can get your brain mojo spinning.

THIS IS JUST FOR REFERENCE and is NOT by any way a submission of my own as I'm doing something different but will not be a competitor:

Archery is mainly being used as place holder for Beam Rifle so can anyone tell me if the disintegrate effect benefits from scourge or not?

-A teleporting attack? Really? Almost seems like that's added in just to make it different not to mention rushing in with a knife isn't the best use of it. A placate/hidden stab would be far more appropriate.

-Knives aren't very showy. In fact, that's how they're supposed to be. You'd be looking at a set that isn't going to appeal to many based on look and yet conceptually, it shouldn't be more effective than an actual sword in combat...so the set would look plain and it wouldn't appeal to power-gamers.

All in all, I'm not dissing a knife set. One of my main villains is a knife 'thrower' and this set may fit him better. But I'd prefer sets I can't already kinda-duplicate. Spines works as a knife throw/stab set too (if a heck of a lot slower) and be more effective at the same time.
On the showy ness aspect give it DP like animations and it becomes plenty showy imo
  18. I like the concept but not the execution the range sets end up with few if any utility powers and most builds are crazy tight already

    Everything about this stinks.
New innovative role competing for writing time with long time staples/sure things? He'd most likely just end up as a Falcon type z lister at that point why bother?

The only thing I'm not liking is the new costume, when he first appeared in ultimate fallout he had a ultimate-y version of the regular spiderman costume I fell like it should have gone more tactical/modern day/ultimate-y cool

The only drawback for MM's is that the +30 recharge effect is wasted when you use it on a pet. But probably the +50 regen, and the damage buff make up for that. I'm thinking it might be good to use with Thugs, and put it on the Arsonist.
since regen is based on targets hp amount and pets have such low hp to begin with I cant really see that argument working out that well, I see the set as amazing for defenders and probably better than poison for MMs
